Biggest black card area on the north side. Showers have soap holders. Hydromassage chairs have a longer range from head to feet. I am 6ft tall and loved it! The seating area at the entrance has charging outlets with USB ports.

Gym itself is clean and employees are great. But it’s so hard to find an open squat rack or find a free bench. January, February and Summer might as cancel. Again employees are beyond great. But the membership is barely worth it if I can’t get to the equipment I need.

Saw an employee talking to a member today for 20 minutes wasn’t even working men’s restrooms seem to always be dirty front desk people be having attitudes and managers don’t know what they’re doing. Mind you at one point this was rated the best Planet Fitness in Houston they’ve gone downhill since then definitely need some training also employees never stay at this company they’re always moving to other locations or quitting that should tell you everything about this gym. Good machines but staff just doesn’t work good

Update October 2024: Looks like some of the employee with attitude are gone. Staff is very friendly so far, they seem to care more about the place. ———————————————— First time on this gym. Very very clean, hopefully it will stay like this. Decent amount of space, everything brand new. Staff could be a little more friendly, specially for all their new members and first timers they will be welcoming these upcoming weeks. I literally had to ask someone to give me a quick tour and show me some the place, and offer me a little bit of explanation, even though I am very courteous to them before hand. I still enjoy it. Put my headphones on, and focus on my thing. I will update review in the upcoming days visiting a few more days Update June 11 ‘24: - Some spaces seem a little cramped, specially where dumbbells are. - No ankle straps offered. There is one machine which is quite off (it is defective from factory by 1-1.5 inch at least) and I brought to attention but I was ignored while the employee trying to give me a “lesson” on why he doesn’t use machines. I have started to find some ball of hairs on the floor, maybe a little more attention on it

Manager is rude, I missed one payment by 4 days the manager walks over in mid workout after the employee told me go ahead and finish. I said let me finish and ill be right over. She starts yelling you have no access I said when I'm done I'll pay it. She said you have to leave you have no access. Getmanagers with proper customer service skills. She needs to be replaced.

I loved my time here at this gym today. Brand new location so everything is brand new and clean. There weren’t many people there from 10-12 pm. Staff is friendly, welcoming and helpful. FYI if you have a classic membership and this isn’t the gym you signed up at.. you will have to pay a $5 franchise fee for the day. I will be going to my home gym to transfer to this one!!

This has been one of the most infuriating and disappointing experiences I’ve ever had. I’m absolutely furious about what happened. The employees outright lied to me, claiming I could freeze my account instead of canceling because I was moving, and that I could simply unfreeze it once I settled in my new city. This was a complete and utter lie. Now, I’m miles away, and the incredibly rude and condescending team member I spoke with over the phone informed me that the only way to unfreeze my account is by showing up in person. This is absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. I am beyond angry at the lack of accountability, the blatant misinformation, and the dismissive attitude from your staff. This entire experience has been a nightmare, and the level of incompetence and disrespect is shocking.

This is the best gym I have ever been to. I mean it’s so clean, everything you need is there, and it pays for itself. I love the sauna & steam rooms! The basketball courts are so clean, and are some fun runs. There are so many squat racks, and tons of equipment to choose from! The pool on the roof is the icing on the cake. Sometimes I just go out and sit there and just enjoy the beautiful weather up there, and a Houston sunset up there is so great! I love coming here!

If you’re looking for a huge gym that has a whole lot of equipment, this is it. Too bad that they can’t make repairs in a timely way. And equipment is filthy from morning till night. Black stretch mats are dirty, just look at the towel that was used to wipe before use. Never have ever seen them cleaning. Clean gyms have crews moving from piece to piece of equipment while you work out. Just visit any Planet Fitness to see how cleaning can be done. Moldy AC vents. Wish there were other options in the area.

Lifetime has trainers that bring LOUD boomboxes onto the weight floor which, put the decibel level over 90 -- high enough to cause hearing loss. I recommend bose earbuds -- their noise cancelling's the best. Also the clientele is not what you would consider professional, so even with earbuds you're not missing anything. Gym is huge but locker room is dinky, making it up close and personal for a supposedly premium facility. The outdoor pool (no indoor unfortunately) is both heated and chilled, but recently they haven't kept the temp at 80, so I may have to cancel. I hear parking has become a problem on weekends. Cleanliness is good and equipment is well maintained.

Been utilizing this gym for about 2 years. Great facilities , amenities, events, and staff. The community of gym goers is worth noting as well. Machines are maintained and repaired very timely, and rarely too overcrowded to get in a good workout. It is expensive compared to your typical gym which would be the major drawback.

Agree with comments about poor HVAC system and low caliber of many members especially those of us paying $280/ month who expect a nicer experience. Looking for another gym due to overcrowding and many low class no manners people - swarmed with those getting in via BCBS TX for 100/month. Parking getting in and out during peak times add 20 mins that I don't have to waste.

If you play tennis this is your mecca. I should've paid more attention to the fact that they explicitly named this location "Lifetime Tennis." If you're here for the gym I'd suggest going somewhere else, the gym is equivalent to a nice hotel gym. It's a small room, with enough equipment to get a workout in, but you'll feel like you're having to compromise on equipment if lifting weights is your thing. Also, parking is a pain - took me calling to find out I need to park on level 3 of the orange garage. 4 stars bc it's a nice place and clean but I don't see any reason to come here other than for tennis.

I was shocked that this gym was really nice. I normally go to the greenway location, but I got stuck in traffic in the galleria area. The gym area is very clean, and empty. The tennis courts were busy with people playing. I will definitely come back. Parking is similar to citycentre/green street locations, you have to drive up to find parking.

Should be called Plane Lifetime. Here visiting the area, and thought I’d continue my workout here since I’m an adult with my ish together. After completing the side quest to find this place, I walked into what had to be a planet fitness with an obnoxious amount of tennis courts. The “weight room” consisted of 1 bench, 1 incline bench, 3 adjustable benches, and a bunch of machines and cardio…it’s typical of what you’d find on a resort or a cruise ship…luckily it looks like a real lifetime is down the street…the staff here is cool though

Oh my God, I am absolutely in love with Trotter Family YMCA! I came here with a friend for the first time to play pickleball, and it instantly won me over. They have a dedicated court setup in one of the gym rooms, and the layout is fantastic. The lines are clearly marked, and it doesn’t overlap with any other courts, so it feels private with ample space to move around. There’s only one court in this section, making it the perfect setup for a focused game. They even offer a second court option for pickleball on Sundays by converting part of the basketball court. With a divider screen in place, one side can be used for basketball while the other hosts pickleball, allowing everyone to play without disruption. The entire facility is clean and impressively well-organized, with amenities for everyone. There’s a swimming pool and numerous rooms dedicated to classes like Pilates, yoga, spinning, and racquetball. The regular gym section is stocked with the latest equipment, making workouts even more enjoyable. The staff here is attentive and super friendly, enhancing the experience. The Trotter Family YMCA truly captures the charm of a well-designed, community-centered facility. Highly recommended!

The building is very old and sometimes feels too warm during the summer. There are no workout or lockeroom towels and you must bring your own lock. I found some nasty toe nail clippings in the men's locker room as I was changing before my workout. And finally, after I canceled my membership, I was still being charged for several months and wasn't refunded. I don't recommend this gym to any working professionals in the area.

I love this fitness center! I switch from 24 hour fitness to here and never looked back! Their pool is heated and their changing rooms are kept clean! They also have zero flooding damage on the ceiling tiles which is impressive for a building that is over 20 years old unlike other newer fitness centers in the galleria. My favorite thing about this fitness center is the fact that the patrons don’t treat this place like it is a speed dating event so that I don’t have to spend my entire working out routine declining coffee and tea dating invitations. Did I mentioned I love their pool already! I love their pool! I recently went to the doctor and they told me I’m prone to osteoporosis and that I have tendon loss on one of my knees likely from the years of running track since high school so swimming here has become a better alternative to costly knee surgery. Would be cool if they had one of them climbing walls machines where the wall drops as you try to climb it but I’m not complaining. I just walk from home 1.5 miles just to weight lift and swim daily then walk back another 1.5 miles. I only get bum out when there is bad weather bc I can’t swim and doing out of the water workouts isn’t as much fun as actually swimming.

I like this location because of the racquetball court and the staff is friendly Today, 12/28/2024, I was playing with a friend and slipped multiple times from something that was not cleaned up all the way, I let the guy who checks people in, he tells me he used the room earlier and slipped as well. He said the cleaning people would take care of it overnight so anyone playing today: Please be careful in racquetball court #2

Redzone Training Center is the place you want to be! Once you come here you are never going to want to leave and go anywhere else, it’s a place that is constantly transforming lives. Beautiful gym space, new quality equipment, cycling room, yoga/posing room upstairs, a sauna, and in house licensed massage therapist. I’ve never been to such a welcoming, motivating, supportive, well structured, clean/organized gym before. Christian (CT) is the trainer I work with here and he is truly the most versatile, unique, & experienced trainer I’ve worked with. 10/10 if anyone’s looking for a trainer he is your guy, nobody too young or too old to train with CT. Red the owner, makes you feel like family. Always constantly working to upgrade the gym for his members and takes care of his people! You won’t find a gym owner this involved and dedicated anywhere else. This place is one of kind and is so worth checking out!

Fantastic and modern YMCA! Compared to others I’ve visited, this one stands out as the most up-to-date. The front desk staff is always friendly and eager to help with any questions I have. Equipment and weights are consistently clean and well-maintained, creating a top-notch experience. This YMCA offers an excellent variety of amenities and activities at a cost-effective price. It's perfect for individuals and families alike, featuring diverse programs that cater to different needs. In my opinion, the YMCA is one of the best values for its price, combining quality, cleanliness, and opportunities for everyone to enjoy.

An excellent variety of programs and features with incredibly friendly staff. The value of the services and options is unmatched at any other gym or community center. We are greeted by welcoming staff every time we enter. This is not just at the main desk, but every time we enter through the outdoor pool, enter to drop off the little one at the child watch center, enter to the main pool to talk to the life guards, enter a fitness class, or just about anywhere that we enter. In case you missed the subtle comments above, in addition to all your standard gym or community center offerings of gym equiment, basketball, walking, etc., this place also has and OUTDOOR pool with small water slides, indoor pool with hot tub area, a child-watch area to so that parents can enjoy the other offerings, and fitness classes all included. This is all at a FAMILY price that is less than 1 or 2 memberships to any other local gym with an outdoor pool.

I think this location is great! (I’m personally only here for the childcare so I can workout) As a first time mom I was nervous of the child care system but the staff was actually SUPER great at handling all my questions and concerns. I was a bit disappointed that I can’t see the room my child is in nor can I go in and see what the room looks like & while I understand the reasons, it’s a bit odd. They don’t change the babies diapers or give them snacks, so don’t expect that of them(I like this rule personally and they have restrooms nearby that you can change them before going in and a lounge area that you can feed them before they go in too). Overall the staff is sweet and my daughter had a blast her first day. I do wish there was a camera system in the room that parents who are scanned in and in the facility can use to see how it’s going cause I feel like in todays age, I rather know my kid is safe and isn’t being mishandled (which as parents we know some childcare facilities have been in lawsuits for things). The only thing about the child care that kinda sucks for me is that they are closed from 1pm - 4pm which is right around the the time I wanted to bring my little one in cause it’s her wake time. So if I end up finding somewhere with a better schedule that suits us, I may cancel at some point but for now, I think the staff is what’s keeping me signed up here. The gym area is actually very big and has a ton of great equipment! Platforms, kb’s, hack squat machine, turf area and so much more! People mind their business and just workout, the pool area is clean. Their indoor basketball court is a great size with a track on top. I think it’s great personally! I’ve attached the kids hours so others moms can see if it fits their schedule. 💕 Edit/update: as a former manager/gym worker, the staff is always kind! however, I see a lot of them standing around. The women’s restrooms need repairs and a deep clean, stall handles are loose and the locking mechanism for the stalls don’t even work. Some of the machines in the weight area need a repair man to come out and fix the cables, platforms need a good steam for less slippery feel.

The instructors are great. What I love even more is that the YMCA is a family. We care about each other. We look out for each other. We’ve made friends in our classes. We don’t go there just to work out. We go there to work out with our friends and see our friends. We go out to eat with each other sometimes. There are class Facebook groups. I moved to Utah a few months ago and I miss this family. I still keep up with them through the Facebook groups. I was in town 2 weeks ago and went and to work out at a couple classes. They were so happy to see me and it was like I never left. My new gym isn’t like that. Even the workers in the machine room get to know you. The staff when you walk in are so friendly. I don’t have that here. You don’t find this at too many other gyms.

I have been a member of this gym for just about two years. Plenty of equipment, clean and smells good. Had the pleasure of meeting the new manager Keith (props to him) as he was walking the floor putting up weights that people had left around. It’s always nice to see a manager or employee care about the place they work and want to have it in the best condition for the customers. I do wish people would re-rack their weights but that’s not on the gym. I would recommend to anyone.

Do not join Fitness Connection. This is a gym, it should not be difficult to cancel your membership. I moved and for an entire year they charged my card after contacting them last year to cancel. Management said they were contacting corporate to cancel the contract due to a new employee not making us aware of the cancellation fees ect. They recently charged me again for an annual fee. This gym was dirty, smelly and the customer service with corporate and their billing department is unprofessional and rude. DO NOT SIGN their contract if you do not want to have to pay to get out of it or continue to be charged monthly even if you move/relocate. Gym membership should not be a prison sentence. It should be easy, and effortless to change your plans with where you want to workout. Sanitary environments and great customer service should be a priority. Check that ridiculous contract before committing to this less than mediocre gym. NEVER coming back. I wish zero stars was an option.

They unexpectedly raised prices, and i get the whole “blame inflation/raise money so the owner can buy a bigger yacht/pass the expenses on to the consumer/legalized greed” bullsh!t. And at first i was like cool, that must mean they’re gonna add some later shifts so i don’t have to rush to get there on the days i end up working late. BUT NO, THE HOURS ARE STILL THE SAME. — NO ADDED VALUE FOR THE HIGHER PRICE I’M PAYING, THANKS FOR THAT!! As I stand here waiting for the leg press machine that someone has been on for an hour, I figured why not give a review. Staff churn is impressive here. It's like no one can figure out, "Take care of the customer." It's $25 a month. You get what you pay for. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't the only reasonable offer in the area. And yes, the machine is still taken.

Can't beat the price. I have a membership at 24 hrs fitness also, and the machines here are kept in much better condition and the gym is way cleaner than 24. The only problem I have is they play the music WAY too loud. I can never listen to my own music. I'm sure these irks everyone else because 85 pct of gym members wear headphones and the music is blasting. That's the only thing g 24 has over them. 24 never plays their music loud. It's always discreetly in the background.

No one was welcoming or helpful during the sign-up process, and I wasn’t even offered a tour of the facility. To make matters worse, the equipment is extremely old, poorly maintained, and often left scattered around in the wrong spots. It’s clear no one bothers to clean or organize the gym, which is both unprofessional and unhygienic. I expected much better for the price and will definitely not be returning.

Not sure who the person in charge was tonight, but coming on the intercom every 15 mins to remind us how much time we have left and then claiming to be closed at 9:55pm when people were clearly still finishing their workouts is extremely unprofessional. We all have jobs we don’t want to be at and homes to get to, but being incessantly annoying by raising the music and playing loud noises for the last 5 mins before closing was genuinely so unnecessary. In the beginning of the video you can hear him say “pa que se vayan” which means “so they can leave.” We all pay for service from 5am-10pm on weekdays. If you don’t like being in charge till 10pm, maybe it’s time to find a 9-5. This isn’t the first time they close early or open late. Please do better.

My friends and I have been coming here for over 3 years now. We have access to the gym, pool, sauna, and great coaches! For only $140 and access to everything, I’d say that’s a pretty sweet deal. The staff are great and will answer any questions or concerns you may have. Highly recommend!

I have attended this gym for the past six months for the morning CrossFit Altus class at 5:00 a.m. the instructors are wonderful, the facility is clean, and I feel safe. I have utilized the facilities including the steam room, fitness area (stair climber mostly), pool, and locker room. I know other gyms may be cheaper but I feel that this place is a real asset to the community.

I used to go here 15 years ago when it was called The Wellness Center. It was a wonderful environment, quiet, not overly crowded, smoothie bar, classes, everything that you could ask for. Even back then, it was expensive for a 4 day membership Th-Su was $40.00 a month. I was thinking of returning, but after reading the bad reviews....never mind.

This is a great gym. Located within the University grounds, it's open to the public. They have an entire floor of gym / exercise equipment, pools, spa, saunas (dry and wet), basketball court, tons of classes from crossfit and power lifting to jiu jitsu. Yes, it's more expensive than your typical planet fitness type gym, but you get so much more. the showers are new, locker rooms have plenty of room with built-in locker keys, and the trainers are first rate. I've seen some negative reviews and they don't make any sense. Every one who works here is courteous and always available to help. I've been going here for three years and have never had a negative interaction with anyone. Can't recommend it more.
