Best Gym near Wayne, New-jersey

My son and I have been a member of Synergy Fitness and Wellness Center since the time that it opened. Our experience has been fantastic. The owner/physician is extremely knowledgeable and hands on and truly makes the members feel both important and satisfied with the services being provided. Ashley, the lead trainer is hands on . Quick to correct and lend support when needed. Fabulous personality. We look forward to our workouts and time spent at this unique facility and plan to continue our membership indefinitely.

Ever since joining Synergy Fitness and Wellness I have lost over 17 pounds, (even through the holidays), and have more strength and energy. Dr. Dyal is committed and personally involved with the program. I get a great workout from the personal trainers, but they also make it an enjoyable experience. I always dreaded going to the gym, but now I can't wait for my scheduled appointment days with Synergy. I would recommend Synergy to everybody!

I have been a member of Synergy Fitness & Wellness since its inception. It was the exact type of program I was looking for that had a small group, weights, cardio and a personal trainer. The trainers are excellent technicians so you are shown how to use all the state of the art equipment correctly along with posture and breathing. Most importantly, the trainers are there for every session to answer questions and reinforce technique for your personal workout program. The trainers interact well with the groups on many subjects so the time is enjoyable and passes quickly. Since I have joined, I have seen weight loss, improvement in my BMI and core flexibility. I plan on being a member for a long time.

Staff is very cooperative. Love to go there. Above all I feel more flexibility in my body and more energetic!

I am extremely pleased with this fitness program and look forward to each class.

This place is an absolute dump. Smells like mold and mildew. Weights are everywhere. You have to play guess the load with the cable crossover. The culture is crap. Gear guys and glute goddesses. They allow tripods so don't get in a content creators way. Tons of stuff broken. They don't maintain the cables so 15 pounds feels like 50. The clips slide right off the barbells. Welcome to gym apocalypse. I can go on forever…

Always Clean and Enjoyable! I’ve been a member of LA Fitness for a while now, and I have to say, I always enjoy going there. The gym is consistently clean, well-maintained, and organized, which makes for a comfortable workout experience. Everything is kept spotless. The staff is friendly especially your staff, Alexis! He is very kind, I always feel motivated when I’m there. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a reliable and enjoyable place to work out!

The staff & management in this location are amazing! Mike is always very welcoming and friendly. He consistently greets members upon entering and bids them farewell upon leaving. He always has a pleasant disposition and is ready to offer assistance whenever and wherever needed. The place is always stocked with necessities like paper towels and sanitizing wipes. Keep up the fantastic work team Wayne!

This gym is like a sewer drain exploded and I mean literally. The bathrooms haven’t been cleaned in over 2 weeks - there is literal piss and shit on the floors of the bathrooms. You literally cannot go into the men's bathroom without wanting to throw up at not only the smell, but the sight of shit and piss on the floors. Not only this, nearly half the machines are always broken and never get fixed till 1-2 weeks later-this includes the machines as well as the benches which never get fixed. On top of this, the dumbbells and attachments are never to be found. Ive had to buy my own attachments as there are none to be found. To continue adding on to this, the police are called nearly every day and not to mention the front desk employees will give you a hard time bringing a guest, but will allow all the basketball kids to go in for free with their guests. Not to mention, the gym after 5PM smells like straight weed. I could go on and on as to what else is wrong and dirty about this gym. For the amount they charge, it is criminal. Very suspicious to see all the recent 5 star reviews in the past week. The employees do nothing besides sit on their phones at the front desk.

Mike is always dressed so nicely. He is constantly putting a smile on my face and even my wife’s. My wife enjoys her time with him a lot and he is funny. She says he is one of the friendliest workers here and is always happy to talk to her. She says she really enjoys coming here and seeing him first right away. It makes her day extra special.

Mornings and most afternoons are less crowded, Gym is clean, Staff is pleasant, equipment is plentiful. My only complaint is their is a room specifically for an express workout it has a traffic light that changes so you move on to the next station, some people spend 10 minutes or more looking at their phone so you can't use that station which interrupts the flow or people use the machines at random this should be addressed by the staff or I would of given it 5 stars.

It’s so clean in here. The prices are unbeatable. I’m still upset after being a member for years the tanning beds aren’t 15 mins like other pf locations/tanning salons. They have No aroma. They have No mist. Them not allowing the full 15 mins is the most frustrating part they only give 12 minutes I wish the owner would see this and change it…. Top of the line beds tho ! Love my ergolines

Went to Planet Fitness in Pompton Lakes after considering rejoining after many years and moving away. I spoke with Jarod who spoke to allowed to tour the renovated facility. I was impressed how clean it was and the easy availability of equipment early in the morning. I returned a few days later to join and Jarod was there again to sign me up and give me a tour of the massage systems and tanning booths. I explained I didn’t know anything about the equipment in this area and he was very helpful explaining things. My favorite part was even if I may have asked the same question twice (yes I’m older) he did not come across as aggravated or bothered. He gave me all the time and attention I needed . He made me feel very comfortable with my choice to sign up. Great customer service is very hard to find but they found it here with Jarod. Thank you Jarod!!!!

Great gym, very clean, helpful staff. Lucas & Izzy were great and amazing help. Definitely if you live around the area, this is the gym to go to.

As a Wayne resident this place is very good opportunity to do some activities with my family. It has reasonable annual family fee which is coming with some free classes such as swimming for both kids and adults. We got a quick tour inside and then decided to enroll “family premium” package for a year. Enrollment was very easy since we already had Wayne Public Pool enrollments. They could easily used our information they already had. The pool is very good and large and has 6 lap lanes. There is one life guard on duty. The gym,I would say small” but this place is not only a gym, and acceptable. There are also some sports facilities like basketball and party rooms as well.

Our Mayor made a good decision to promote a healthy community of Wayne and retain the staff from YMCA

This review is For Family Swim only Our first family swim on Friday(30mins duration) after registration in July. After 15 mins later they suddenly let us out and closed. One Sunday family swim(from 1pm to 3:45pm), we were there at 3pm. The staff said the pool was closed for now; they will reopen 30 mins later. After 30 mins later that staff said they will expend 30mins more so we waited  total1 hour to get in. After 45 mins of swimming they said the family swim ended and let us out. On Wednesday the family swim(30mins duration) which was yesterday. Staff said because of swim classes the family swim area was limited today. Instead of 3 lanes as usual, it was only 2 lanes. 1/3 of the length of the pool was used for class so do not go over there, another 1/3 of the pool was too deep for kids. Over 17 people were in 1/3 of the pool together, literally fully packed and I was standing there. They expanded the lane 18 mins later but my kid only swam for 12 mins. I registered at the Wayne YMCA only for family swimming for my kid. Is all YMCA like that? Without notice, close early, temporarily close an hour without notice, narrow space for other classes? Feels not fair.

This place is terrible. Me and my brothers came here and they started to get angry. The lady said what’s my problem. Worst part they took 15 dollars of all my brothers money. That’s $45 gone. We paid that much just to do nothing. They also said that they could open the safe to put our stolen money in but can’t take it out. We were in there for less than 5 minutes. Never ever come here. I repeat, DONT EVER COME HERE.

It's a very nice place, like all of America, with an institutional structure, a clean and beautiful environment for sports activities

Our son has been apart of this amazing program for a year now and we couldn’t be happier. Every instructor or coach that he has worked with has been wonderful. They care for the kids and want to bring out the best in all of them. Our son is currently attending some of the winter clinics that they offer. He is participating in the fielding, hitting, and pitching clinics and loves them all. All the clinics are run by knowledgeable and dedicated instructors. We have been very impressed with the pitching program and how our son has progressed through the personalized goals that the instructors have set for him. We can’t wait for the spring season.

It was my first time entering the building. I was Very impressed with the facilities and the level of professionalism shown by all the teams and coaches. The Eclipse volleyball team that Kayla is on blew me away. I had never seen any one person train so hard or a coach keep the team on task with various activities as this team. I’ve seen Kayla grow tremendously as an athlete over this volleyball season.

PS2 is phenomenal. My 6 year old attended their baseball clinic while off from school for Teacher Convention. The coaches spent so much time with him and his friends - instructing them yet keeping their interest at the same time. Not an easy feat for 6-year olds. My son couldn’t wait to attend camp each day, and he’s so sad that he can’t go back on Saturday or Su day. The facility is clean. The Coaches and staff are attentive, playful yet strict. The staff have figured out the secret to a well-run facility. I cannot recommend this facility enough. Sign your child up. You will not be disappointed.

Truly a great place! One stop baseball facility to say the least. Large training space and very clean as well. Everyone is always kind and eager to help. With many programs to choose from, the coaches are highly qualified and want the best for their athletes. My son loves getting all his work in every week. It is a pleasure bringing him to PS2! We are excited for the 2021 season to start!

Next Level Fitness gym is the place to go if you’re looking to workout on your own or want to hire a trainer. Place is clean, good energy , great location , affordable prices and Professional trainers..

Robinson is an Excellent and Hardworking person trainer and owner. He show a lot of dedication to this place. Next Level Fitness has Amazing environment and people at this gym really have a lot of energy. The Machine are at great quality and diverse Next level is overall well put together definitely recommend with Great location.

Best gym in the area, this is a true gym. I've been working with Robison Rodriguez out almost 2 yrs and like my progress. The people there are good with energy, they give you advice and wise words. I recommend next level for your goals.Come and Get ready for summer.

One of the best gyms!, everyone is super friendly and the gym is clean and well maintained. Also if you’re looking for a trainer, Zumba classes, etc it’s the best place to go to.

Amazing facility to workout at. No tripods just straight business. Will recommend anybody to this gym. Great atmosphere, helpful people, and no egos, everybody with a goal.
