Maybe this will get their attention. I have been trying to join this facility for TWO MONTHS. I'll spare everyone the particulars, but this facility should know who I am. Multiple calls, emails, visits, and STILL no movement whatsoever. This facility is run by a bunch of clowns who have clearly never worked in client retention a day in their lives. I would love if my wife could cancel her membership, but I can't even get a response from the supposed "new" employee. Take your business elsewhere and let this organization wither on the vine!

I can only speak to my experiences but I haven’t been super impressed with what I have experienced here. For background, I’m a ymca lifer both as a customer and a former employee (different locations) and love the ymca. Baierl has not been great in a couple areas. First off, Member communication is not great here. For instance, they cancelled childwatch and didn’t send out a communication and the same with the pool / swim lessons in the past. It’s pretty disappointing to get all three of your young kids into the car and have to turn around/not get your workout in. Second off, I was not impressed with their aquatics. It took forever to get into private lessons. Our instructor was very nice but she cancelled 6/10 weeks. On top of that, the process to get into the queue was difficult. They also keep the pool super cold so we wanted to do lessons for the youngest but it was tough. What makes me more critical of the baierl is the price they charge and the issues listed above. They should have better service for how much they bill.

They've made it too difficult to use the pools (which was the entire reason we are/were? members). I understand rules are important for a pool but it's become soo cumbersome it is no longer fun. Retesting for lost necklaces even though they are suppose to have a record of who passes. Pool availability times are wrong because they've closed the pool for swim team and not updated anyone, front desk is even unaware. Also, communication about pool hours and rules is lacking. They change policies without communication and look at you like its your fault you are unaware. Last week there was rolling thunderstorms for 3+ hrs and they didn't even communication the extended closures to those in the lobby waiting until people became irritated. We spend 3 hrs waiting to find out if classes were canceled because driving home and back would have caused us to miss class IF they had happened. When you've got 3 kids and drive 20 min each way, it's not worth the hassle anymore. Sad because their motto is "kids first" which is definitely not the case. It just isn't fun anymore which is sad because I spent my summers at the Y growing up.

We went to this YMCA for the first time to use the outdoor pool. We were yelled at approximately 50+ times for our toddlers running, us not being within arm’s reach of our toddlers (keep in mind we have multiple children), stepping towards our chairs for more sunscreen, our 2 year standing on a chair, etc. The yelling was very rude, loud and not appropriate for children or a family environment. It was the most absurd pool experience I’ve ever had. Why have guests sign a liability waiver and then enforce such strict rules that no pool in the area (or probably America) enforces. Do not bring your kids here!

The Baierl YMCA IS SO MUCH to so many. It starts with the front desk personnel who are friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. The equipment is modern and carefully maintained. The clientele is diverse in age and culture, and the Y offers a variety of programs to serve all members. I’ve belonged to several gyms. Without question this facility has provided the best workout atmosphere I have ever experienced. If you want a family friendly experience or a gym for serious grinding, the BAIERL YMCA should be your home.

Been coming here for a couple years. Great location & family oriented place… Great equipment, classes, staff and instructors! My kids absolutely love the warm pool! My husband and I totally enjoy being able come out & drop the kids off at Kid Zone - knowing they are in good hands - and just go hang out together, having fun and working out! 🤩

Very clean, staff friendly, so many amenities (especially regarding swim and spa)

Really nice place for the whole family. They offer all types of programs such as swimming classes and sports. They have a daycare type thing for the kids during weekdays that makes it a lot easier to utilize the other parts of the gym. Kids so far love the basketball courts and swimming pool. We go atleast a few times a week and have always had a really great time. Oh yeah they also do birthday parties with reservations and can reserve the pool for a whole hour. Update. Have to knock it down to four stars because I've gotten 5 emails from my health care provider upmc through my employer and it directed me to the YMCA because of a decent monthy membership fee discount but they don't seem to work with the insurance company even though I have emails stating I should receive a discount. Non the less it seems worth having a area the whole family can enjoy. There is worse ways to spend 77 dollars a month.hi

I would stay far away from this place if you could. The lady at the front desk treated me and my pal with straight disrespect. She was completely unprofessional and just simply rude. Disappointing for a grown lady to treat a couple of respectful teenagers with nothing but inhumane hatred. She ruined my day with her disgusting behavior. Absolutely will not be going back to this place until there is some major changes👎🏽

What a great box. Did a drop in while I was on a work trip. The owner and staff was super nice, friendly and helpful. The facility had all good equipment, organized, and clean. I had a great workout and would definitely go back if I am ever in the area again.

These people have a sweet place located in a nice historical neighborhood. Everyone was very nice. The atmosphere was more than welcoming. Kudos to Todd for showing me around. They selflessly hosted a Murph and let non members come and compete. Hope to come back and do better next year.

Dropped in for a Saturday class. Wonderful gym , great coaches and owners. Definitely would visit again when in town

I love this gym. The coaches are knowledgeable, encouraging, friendly, and also excel at what they're coaching in all sorts of different ways. The community is top-notch, and I've made a cozy little crew of gym friends since joining about 9 months ago. The locker rooms are clean and comfortable, and there are showers! Equipment is all in great condition despite heavy use. The workouts are also consistently the most challenging I've encountered thus far in my 3 year crossfit adventure - which is a really good thing. I compare any box I visit to my very first box in DC (which is obviously my favorite one), and MindFire comes pretty dang close. They say you can never go home again, but I've made a new home here. See you guys tomorrow (or rather Thursday, tomorrow's my rest day ☺️)

Amazing CrossFit gym with really hardworking coaches and owners. Todd was such a breath of fresh air and helped a lot the whole week I was there. My best drop in gym experience ever and I drop In all over USA. If you are in town, go visit them for at least one workout. Todd, the sandwich was amazing man and seeing you workout made me me feel more older. God bless you all and give you all more success.

Enjoyed an intro round today, definitely look forward to finding myself here playing more rounds in the future, definitely one of the nicest courses if played all year.

Great looking course! Took my lessons here with Cam Lang and he’s helped me tremendously.

Scenic holes, challenging and interesting layout, tee and fairway of great conditions, green firm and fast. The bunker and cart path are now both in great shape. This is a fantastic golf course and it is well taken care of. The membership directors Lydia and Elliot are super nice and helpful.

The course has some good bones. But over the years, the course had deteriorated overall, despite a massive dues increase two years ago. I originally wrote a pretty bad review of the course a couple years ago because the rough was a weed patch, the bunkers were in desperate need of repair, the tees were worn out due to overuse, difficulty scheduling tee times, and beat up cart paths. Within the last year, the rough has been treated with herbicide using a drone flying several feet above the ground, and the weeds have significantly decreased. The attached photos show how bad the weeds had become compared to years past, but since they sprayed, it does look closer to the older photo on the left again. Due to a massive drop in membership after a dues increase to now to about $800/month, the tees and greens actually look better. The greens are very quick and firm. I personally don't see the infatuation with firm and fast greens. It seems more of a status symbol. It slows play and reduces the number of pin postions and makes some shots unfair. On the other hand, ball and club technology have changed, and perhaps this is a way to fight back instead of lengthening the course, but it still is costly. Initiation fees have fluctuated over the years, ranging from no Initiation fee to $10,000. Membership was at its lowest point at the end of last year but has been picking up recently. When Gary Player designed the course, he commented on how it looked so natural in a wooded landscape and like it was always there. I would think he would be appalled by the number of trees removed. Not every course needs to look like Oakmont. Oakmont started out without trees, this isn't the case for Diamond Run. The trees framed the holes at Diamond Run. They weren't boringly lined parallel to the fairways, but they were placed in strategic positions to challenge the tee and approach shots. Now, just bomb it—as long as you don't hit it in the weeds. Sure, some trees have died (like the ash trees), some trees blocked air circulation near green complexes and tees, and in some cases, sight lines have improved, but overall, in my opinion, the tree removal campaign should not have applied to this course. The bunkers have been completely redone as of April 2024 with a drainage system called Billy Bunker which seems to be doing well after multiple massive rains. The remaining bunkers look very nice. They removed 20-30 bunkers though, most of which were directional markers since many of these didn't come into play. It seems like they did not seek approval from Gary Player Design for these changes. Gary Player Design is now in partnership with Nicklaus, so maybe it was too complicated to ask. But, the course is really a lot different now without many bunkers and a massive tree removal campaign, so it shouldn't really call itself a Gary Player Signature Course, IMO.) The cart paths have needed upgrading for years. They did purchase new carts recently. I guess that profits get soaked up by ClubCorp/Invited, leaving little except for the basics—just a little more than an average muni. I remember showing friends the course several years ago and getting oohs and ahhs. Very few were impressed in what I am calling the dark days a year or two ago. Things look much better now. Employee turnover has always been high ever since ClubCorp took over. Again, corporate greed over treating their employees well. The range has always been awkward, being so elevated that shots less than about 125 yards can't be seen as they land. The chipping area and bunker for practice are fair for a private club. There is an area in front of the range that could be used for longer pitches, but it hasn't been developed yet. At this time last year and I had lost hope for this golf course and wrote a fairly negative review. But, there have been some significant improvements. For me personally, the cost of membership compared with how often I play, would not warrant me being a member.

Great private course in the Pittsburgh area. Challenging but still gives you the chance to score well.

So I’m a 27 year old who has been dealing with anxiety depression and addiction for many years and I was looking for a healthier, organic way to deal with the stresses that effect my mental health on a daily basis . So I had a consultation with Meghan and I was extremely comfortable with her knowledge and her background in nutrition . So I ordered the unlimited package and I haven’t regretted that purchase one bit . After about the fifth session I really started to notice a general improvement in my mood and reduction in my anxiety . And now I come pretty much every single day for not only the cryotherapy but with the cryo package I’m capable of using compression, ice and the hyper ice. If anyone is dealing with what I’ve mentioned above, I highly recommend stopping by for a consultation. Because not only do I feel better mentally but my body feels 10 times better.

The Recovery Room is the kind of recovery I believe in and look for in helping when I have health problems, joint pain or body issues. I totally believe in good nutrition has to be in place and Meghan is great at recommending the best nutrition to get better health. Thanks Recovery Room. You are awesome!!!

Meghan and Bob make a powerful one two punch. My life has been dramatically improved with their sound advice on nutrition and physical therapy. Feeling stronger than ever from my time with them both !! Grateful!

For many years I suffered with Addison’s disease with no help from my Dr. I had been seeing Dr Robert Westwood for my back ( BEST CHIROPRACTOR) and found out his wife could help me with the disease. After my results came back from the required saliva test Megan put me on 2 different natural supplements. Within about 1 1/2 months I noticed my energy level returning. Do want to add I recently mentioned something to my thyroid Dr about having Addison’s disease. He looked in my file and says, I don’t have that on record, you need to be tested. Explained I was going the natural route and didn’t want to be tested. He proceeded to tell me how the natural route wasn’t good enough. Why some Drs don’t believe in patients going the natural way. Bottom line, Megan is GREAT at what she does and works to get you feeling your absolute best.

The recovery room was amazing! I came into town for the Pittsburgh marathon and was dealing with a little bit of an injury. I used the cryotherapy and the Normatec compression and after a few sessions, the pain was gone. Also, the staff was wonderful and very helpful all in all it was an amazing experience. I would highly recommend the recovery room. I will come back here when I come to town.

My daughters have been cheering for Infinity since its inception in 2018. They have grown immensely in their skills - not just athletic skills, but skills that can be applied across all areas of life. Strength. Teamwork. Perseverance. Friendship. The coaches are fantastic and supportive. We absolutely love this gym and all it stands for.

Infinity All-Star Cheerleading is a great organization with wonderful & dedicated coaches. Our daughter has been with Infinity for 5 years and has developed many skills as an athlete & so much more. It would be a great place to start out if you are new to cheer or even if you already have experience. Highly recommend!
