Have been coming here for almost two years & this gym is in shambles. Absolutely no ventilation in this gym. It’d be nice if they opened the doors once in a while to let some fresh air in. Every machine that breaks down just gets a “Scheduled for service” sign and never gets repaired, or replaced. Some of these machines have been down for months. Multiple treadmills out of commission. The one vent that was functioning in the locker room stopped working 3 weeks ago, making the bathroom extremely humid with condensation all over. The basketball court has been closed down for over 5 months. The pool has been closed for 2 weeks, and will continue to be closed for another 5 weeks. This location is a bait & switch- you sign up because of the added amenities of a pool and basketball court, but you can’t actually use them. If you plan to go to the Lodi location for the sauna- you might as well go sit in a refridgerator. They need to prorate the memberships for having major components down for months. These photos aren’t even of all the things that are out of service.

I want to take a moment to commend Jay and Gary at LA Fitness for their exceptional work. Over the years, I have witnessed a remarkable transformation in the gym’s cleanliness, maintenance, and organization. The weights are always neatly arranged, and the entire facility is spotless, thanks to their diligent efforts. Jay and Gary have truly turned this gym around, creating an environment that is not only functional but also inviting. Their dedication to maintaining high standards is evident in every corner of the gym. Beyond their professional excellence, they are also great people—always pleasant and approachable. Their hard work has made a significant difference, and I am grateful for the positive impact they have had on my gym experience. Thank you, Jay and Gary, for your outstanding service!

Ashley is such a great GM and Michael, too! The gym has a really great ambiance, and you can build a comminuty if you want as the people are generally pretty friendly and more than happy to help you with a workout tip if needed.

To start I’ll comment on the positive. I’ve seen that the weights and machines have been replaced for new ones and the place has been updated. However I only bought my gym membership to use the pool. It is disappointing, the pool area it’s very rusty and the pool is not clean at all. In the past 2 weeks when I went to train I left feeling very sick with a lot of headache and itchiness in my skin. Then I realized they have closed the pool because the chlorine vapors were not being evacuated from the building as the whole fan system was broken (to me this shows lack of maintenance). I got really worried as I’m pregnant and not sure what the high chlorine levels I breathe can do to my growing baby. I also noticed that people don’t use the right gear to enter the pool. The use of a cap, appropriate bathing suit and shower before entering it’s not enforced. I talked to front desk and they said they can’t do anything about this, then who takes care of the pool? When I swan you could immediately notice that the pool was not being cleaned properly and the amount of chlorine was exaggerate. Honestly they know nothing about pool maintenance and cleanliness. When the ventilation system broke down I went to Lodi which is much further away from me. The experience was exactly the same with the pool. I would suggest you rather close it if it implies that people are going to get sick and with skin issues. Not safe at all

I’ve been training with Cristian M. for about three months now, and it’s been a fantastic experience. As someone new to personal training, I really appreciate how approachable and knowledgeable he is. He has helped me feel more confident in the gym and created a plan that’s perfectly suited to my fitness level and goals. Each session is both challenging and motivating, and I can already see progress in my strength and energy levels. I highly recommend Cristian to anyone looking for a supportive and professional trainer!

Equipment is not in good shape. Options are all there though. It would be nice to have hand sanitizer around the floor$$$ classes that take up the entire turf is insane. no room to do situps, or any floor work. that pilates room is a waste UPDATE 2/2024 Broken machines everywhere. I'll just attach pictures! 8/1/24 leg curl broken again 9/5/24 cable cross -cable failing see pic 9/21/24 brackets loose on flat & incline benches 11/24 they are shuffling equipment around. it would be nice to give the clients some expectations on timeline. they send us texts on stupid promotions but nothing about what we are actually paying for. bolts are still loose and lots of unsafe equipment. 1/25 car key carabiner! Every year I have to stand at the desk for 20 min so they can renew my membership. they say the computer doesn't do it. I think they get a commission

After being a member for several years and having the same problems go unaddressed by management for as many years, I figured it was about time to write a review. Note that this review only covers the equipment and areas I use. While there may be problems in other areas as well, I don’t utilize those areas so will not comment on them. Let’s start with the cardio equipment. Most of it does work, although there are several machines, particularly in the second row, that do not, which causes a lot of bouncing from one machine to the next to find one that works. What doesn’t work are a large number of TVs. It is not unusual for almost 40% of them to be non-operational, and the ones that do work are either on home shopping channels or The View. Hey, about a nice mix of CNN, Headline News, Fox News and ESPN? Even worse, 20% of the TVs were on a slideshow of local advertisements. So not only do you pay money to join Crunch, now you are forced to watch commercials when working out. Bush league move. Several of the circuit machines are usually down at the same time. For example, the leg extension machine just doesn’t seem to be ever fixed correctly, the grip on the bicep machine is defective, defective pin on the back extension, etc. There is also a fair amount of ripped or cracked vinyl surfaces which still need to be repaired. Speaking of repairs, many of the lockers in the locker room are broken, and have been for years, especially the ones at eye level as soon as you walk into the room. As for cleaning, I am not sure what the protocol is but in over three years I have only seen staff wipe down the equipment one time. Maybe they do it more often, I have just never witnessed it. Regardless, in this age of covid, this should be a priority. The interior of the gym is generally neat, but certainly not overly clean. It really could use some deep cleaning and attention to detail, especially under the machines, in corners and the bathroom, which has seen better days. The gym touts its new HIIT Zone but I’m not sure what the fuss is about, as now there is very little space to so any kind of individual floor workouts without being in the way of somebody else. And they moved the personal training desk to the middle of the stretch area, instead of at the front desk where it should be. While this isn’t the gym’s fault, you will wait on the circuit machines, primarily because of people staring at their phones which is something tolerated by the staff. What is the gym’s fault is the music blaring over the speakers. It is downright awful. Now, I realize musical taste is subjective, but it should at least be varied. When I go to the gym, almost half the people are older, yet I’ve only heard ‘classic rock’ played one time. Now, I’m sure the management will read this review and reply back with same lame, boilerplate response about emailing management. Just know that all of these concerns have been previously brought to management’s attention, so they are either indifferent to their customers’ concerns or incompetent in resolving them. So does Crunch make working out fun? Maybe, just not at the Paramus location. Update: Despite the canned reply from management, the equipment is still broken or torn, many of the TVs are still not working, the equipment still doesn't seem to be cleaned or sanitized very often and the music is still terrible.

I loved coming to this gym. i’ve been here before and the energy was different but this last time i visited it felt so much better. I definitely give props to the new manager, she makes this place feel safer and brings so much light. Clean environment and comfortable to ask employees anything you might need, recommend to anyone looking for an affordable and welcoming space to workout.

Crunch Paramus has really been stepping up lately! All the cardio equipment is brand new, and you can tell a lot of effort is going into making positive changes. The new manager has been amazing and has brought such a fresh energy to the gym - it’s made a noticeable difference. I was especially impressed today with how clean and well-organised everything was, and it just felt like such a great place to work out. I’m really excited to keep coming back, thank you!

Best gym ever! My kids wanted to test out boxing classes. I stopped into Paramus UFC gym and felt like I was a VIP. Everyone who works there is so nice and knowledgeable. The price was fair for what perks you receive. My kids love taking classes and the trainers treat my boys like family. My kids favorite part is trying the shakes and smoothies they sell. Any issues I had Michael, one of the managers, handled it immediately. It’s one of the few gyms that offers jujitsu classes/wrestling classes for adults and youth. It’s clean/friendly/ and so much fun. I would recommend this to any kid wanting to start going to the gym or adults looking for something great!

I am currently doing the 3 day free trial. My first impressions are good. Gym looks nice, very clean and organized and was not crowded during the late morning when I went. Personally the only two down sides for me are that there are only two squat racks. I personally prefer free weight lifting over machines and it just seems like those two are always occupied. The second thing is that there is no “powerlifting” type of a wide bench for bench pressing. Both bench presses have the standard narrow benches. Having at least one wider bench as an option would be nice. But other than that, which like I said are just personal preferences, the gym has everything you need and the equipment is great.

There is no ufc gym in new jersey with a higher caliber jiujitsu program. Sean yadimarco and Gabriella Bermudez have the best program in new jersey ufc gym or not. Theres several showers so even when we have 40 people on the mat its a fairly short wait for the showers. Sauna is generously sized, locker room is huge and the punching bag area has about 15 bags. This is the perfect gym for any hobbiest or competitive martial artist.

This gym is truly the best! The atmosphere is fantastic, everything is spotless, and the trainers are outstanding. My trainer, Amra, is one of a kind—motivating, kind, and genuinely caring. Where do I even begin? TNT is truly one of a kind and unlike any other gyms in our area. The atmosphere is welcoming yet motivating, making it the perfect place to push yourself and achieve your fitness foals .The owner, Mike, is exceptional. He takes his role as a trainer and owner very seriously and his professionalism is unmatched. Mike's expertise and dedication to his clients shine through in every interaction. I cannot wait to sign up my young sons to train with him soon. What truly sets this gym apart is its sense of community. Mike is deeply involved with the the town, constantly giving back and supporting local initiatives. It's awesome seeing someone committed to making a difference both inside and outside the gym. I also cannot write this review without shouting out my trainer, Amra, who runs the best women's group around. There is truly nothing like it out there. I'm exceeding my goals because of her guidance and support. She is kind, patient, and so motivating. Amra truly understands the unique challenges of being a woman and a mother, and her approach is both empathetic and empowering. Also, shout out to all the other trainers!! They truly are so special!!! Thank you TNT !!!!

Just wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the team that works tirelessly to make things happen. Recently I noticed the lady in charge of housekeeping thoughtfully wiping down the handles on the shower doors. I felt impressed by the attention to detail. On other occasions I was kindly and unexpectedly offered a towel while doing cardio. It’s the little things that matter. It means a lot.

I’ve been at Equinox for over a year. The gym is beautiful and feels like you’re working out at a spa. Equipment is pristine and the people are all cool. But the best part of this gym, the absolute biggest game changer, has been their personal trainer Jesse Agbotse. The easiest way to put it is that this guy is an A-Team player, a true gem. He goes above and beyond to help the gym members and has an incredible program. With Jesse’s guidance and unique approach I was able to shed 20+ lbs.

This gym is honestly amazing. It’s impeccably maintained, clean, spacious, and tranquil. Even the app has a premium, high-quality feel. Almost everyone who goes here is so courteous and respectful, and the staff are beyond friendly and really just awesome people. The Equinox crew make everyone feel welcome and included. Elina, one of the trainers, is the absolute best. She radiates positivity and is so knowledgeable and helpful. The classes and instructors are top-notch, and while I wish the gym had a little bit more equipment and weights, it has everything anyone would ever need to get a good workout. Sure, the monthly membership is steep, and everyone’s mileage may vary, but for me, this gym is an oasis to which I look forward to coming every day.

Just a steam room and no dry sauna. Showers are small in men's locker room. Steam room is cleaned daily but is really the only amenity. Not overly crowded but that is more because of the steep member fee. They do require a 1 year commitment. No month to month and no budging on anything. Corporate dictates policies and Paramus cannot modify them. You can barely even get a response back from corporate. I think you can find something that offers more amenities for cheaper.

Bergen Community College Gym is a comparatively small gymnasium by college standards, but suitable for the crowds they draw. Capacity I would estimate at about 500, with 15 rows of plastic no-back bleachers along just one side of the gym, and no end seating. This gym hosts both the BCC Bulldog basketball and volleyball teams. The sightlines are quite good once you get up high, and the sound system is very good too.

Disgusting, unsanitary, bathrooms have mold, there’s garbage everywhere. Gym isn’t 24 hours they need to hire more staff to keep it clean and to manage the gym. Honestly disgusting i pay $60 a month to come to this gym and it’s unacceptable this is the dirtiest gym i’ve ever been to. The stalls make it hard to pee so everyone pees on the floor and it splashes everywhere.

My experience yesterday: - The first 6 treadmills I tried to use were broken. - The first 2 exercise machines I tried to use were missing pins. - The locker room showers smell like feces and mold. 5/8 showers turn on, a few don’t have shower heads or hot water. I’ve been coming here for a year now out of convenience, but it’s always a disappointing experience. There has been no improvement in my entire time here. I wish I was exaggerating. The pool is pretty good though.

My sons and I enjoy coming here as they have basketball and weights! The crowd here is mostly very friendly. They also have some pretty cool equipment. I see they are getting better at checking peoples membership which is great (keep it up), as before anyone could just walk in. Below are some areas of opportunity: 1. Enforce the no basketball training rule. Too many people are doing it and taking up space. They bring the garbage cans on the court to act as defense. Its dangerous and during prime hours is really not fair to others. 2. Repair the pads on the bicep machine. 3. Keep enforcing members only at the door 4. Fix the nets on basketball court ( i know people keep tearing them) maybe get chain nets or plastic....not ideal but better than keep replacing 5. More 10 and 15 pound plate weights. You have to really hunt for these.

This once nice fitness club is degrading before our very eyes. I've been a member of 24 Hour Fitness probably for about 8-9 years now. Not sure what the owners are doing with the profits of the gym but it doesn't look like they're putting any of it towards maintenence. And what is management even doing? All you have to do is spend an hour at this gym and you can spot out 10 different things that need to be fixed or renewed. Majority of the lockers by the basketball courts are locked up which would make sense if the gym was full. I wouldn't be surprised if a bunch of kids just locked them up as a prank. Half the lockers in the men's bathroom are busted by the handle. It makes you wonder if people are getting their things stolen. Sink faucets in bathroom wobble. One of the bathroom stalls door doesn't close. All the cable chest machines are missing a handle. One of them the cable sounds like it has too much friction. All the reviews on here claiming the place is unsanitary is true. Weight room smells like an exposed plumbing pipe or like if a toilet flooded somewhere nearby. Owner really just needs to hire older and more mature people to run this place. It looks like it's being ran by a bunch of kids who sit around and do nothing. Hire someone who knows how to use a power drill and a hammer. This isn't complicated. Just needs mature people who actually care.

It’s nasty.. been here for years and to be honest it keeps diminishing ! It’s dirty and the lockers most of them are broken and “out of service “ for years lol.. as seen on photos. Not to mention it’s so hot the whole gym feeling like a sauna . I even try to bring it up at the front desk but the customer service is horrible! The spray disinfecting bottles are always empty or broken and most of the paper dispensers are always out! Btw all these pictures are taken in one day . Not accumulated ! Reply to 24hr fitness “(owner)” Really ,you aren’t trying that hard to keep ‘us happy’ since im back here 4 weeks later and all the glass as shown in previous pictures are still exactly the same and carpet stain with red nasty, whatever that is, is still all there as is the equipment in poor shape or not working . The lockers are still “out of service, half not working half are just locked and they don’t bother unlocking … just doesn’t seem like anyone even attempted to address any of these issues , but yeah, ok👎🏻

RPP Baseball Paramus has been one of the best experiences we’ve had with coaching and training in baseball. As a father of 4 boys, who have all played baseball and as a coach myself, I’ve entered my youngest into the program. From Day 1, RPP has some of the best trainers, programs and techniques for getting your athlete to the next level. While it may be a little more expensive than other club teams, the training you get at RPP Paramus far outweighs the cost. Five Stars!

The best place to work out!! Can't say enough positive things!!!! My 15 year old son started training at RPP after sustaining an elbow injury from baseball and the physical therapist felt it would be a great adjunct to his therapy. He started with an individual assessment and a specific strengthening program was created which met his individual needs and goals. I am impressed by their use of technology and their data and research driven programs. The instruction and supervision from each one of the trainers has been outstanding! They work in small groups and the trainers are extremely knowledgeable about exercise science. Coming from a therapy background myself I was so happy to see such an emphasis on proper form and mechanics that would no doubt help my son heal quickly and prevent future injury. The strength training has also given my son a new level of confidence and even his coaches have remarked what a change it has made. Thank you to Robbie for the personal interest you have shown in my son's development and training. I am very confident that thanks to Nunzio, and all the others at RPP my son is a much better athlete and will continue to grow and improve with their programs. Would highly recommend training at Rockland Peak Performance!!

If the goal for your son or daughter is to get bigger, faster, stronger, look no further than RPP. The facility itself is gorgeous and clean. All the training is personalized, not cookie-cutter like most other facilities. All their workouts circuits are supervised by highly trained personel. All their biometric equipment is high-end. Nunzio and company are gurus in interpreting the metrics and implementing specific approaches to maximizing your personal gains.

My 17 year old has been training at RPP for over 6 months and my 14 year old for 2 months. The professionalism of the staff and the thoroughness of the pitching and strength programs for my 17 year old led us to enroll my 14 year old. Nunzio and his pitching staff are very specific in assessing the boys and modifying their workouts and pitching drills as they progress. They, along with the trainers, have all been extremely qualified assisting my boys with proper form for pitching drills and strength/mobility training to get results without compromising their health and safety. The results speak volumes, with my 17 year old increasing his velocity by 7mph in a structured program over time without any injuries. We are anticipating even better results over more time with no gimmicks, but rather individually tailored training and hard work.

Training consistently at RPP played an essential role in helping my two sons get recruited to play college baseball. What sets this facility apart is the thoroughness of the initial athlete assessment, overseen by Nunzio Signore, who then designs a uniquely individualized workout plan to maximize each player's full potential. This state of the art facility, with top trainers, instructors, and management is a must for anybody trying to play at the next level. Although RPP is primarily known for working with ballplayers, all student-athletes would benefit from RPP's sport-based training. My 16-year-old daughter is a swimmer and has been doing her dry-land training exclusively at RPP for over a year; she credits the hard work she does there as the reason she continues to get stronger and ultimately faster in the pool.
