I see exactly why they are slowly going out of business! Horrible customer service from the "General Manager" which calls himself Harry Thanos. Walked in with my son, who is home from college to workout and bond. Told a young lady at the front desk that I needed a guest pass. She stated that a pass would need to be retrieved through the app. I had trouble signing up for the guest pass because my app was outdated. Was told that even if I signed my son up, that pass was not good the day of. After downloading the app, it says nothing about a 24-hour wait. So, I was intentionally lied to. After trying to speak to Harry Thanos about how it was wrong to lie to your customers... this guy just runs his mouth without listening. I told him thank you and canceled my membership, which I have had since 2013. No wonder all the locations are closing. This will be another big company name that we will mention as a memory. Start applying for another job (just over broke) Thanos!

Nice clean gym. But the amount of times they call you non stop to try to force you to pay for the trainers is borderline harassment. They really need to back off a little and let people find their groove and get back comfortable just coming to the gym again.

The gym is usually pretty clean. However, it’s hard to get a good workout in. No matter what time of day you go, weights tend to be strewn about the gym. Free weights are almost never available. The trainers tend to take many sets of weights at a time and hoard them in the closed off training area. Then when they are done training their clients, they just leave the weights in that area instead of putting them back. If the trainers are going to take half the free weights, maybe they should have their own set of weights so that the rest of us aren’t constantly looking around for them. Overall, pretty disappointing that it’s so hard to work out there (even at “slow” times like 10 am or so, the weight rack is half empty). At least the place is cleanish as you’re hunting for weights or open machines.

Looking to switch from my current gym and wanted to take advantage of their free day pass so I could test the equipment and gym before signing up. The website was not allowing me to fill out for a pass so I called and they told me to just come in and they’ll be able to take care of me. As I get there I am told to sit and wait for someone to help me. After 20 minutes, I had to go back to the desk and remind them I was waiting for someone to which I was directed to a big bearded dude with a bunch of tattoos who I’m guessing all of the other bad reviews are about. This guy couldn’t be LESS helpful. He instantly tried selling me a membership as I kept telling him I’m not looking to sign up that exact day and wanted to use the day pass to test the gym. He tells me that’s something you have to fill out in advance as I proceed to show him the website not allowing me to. I answered confused as I just called and they said they would be able to help me. He kept giving me the same response that “it’s just something that has to be done before”. There was no point in talking anymore as I could tell by his smug comments he wasn’t going to help me in any way so I walked out. As soon as I told him I didn’t wanna sign up today, he could care less about helping me at all. I was actually an interested customer looking to sign up after trying the gym. Looks like he saved me from wasting my money at this poor managed place. This dude should not be working in customer service.

Jose was AMAZING! He really listened and heard my needs and gave me the best options to get started back up with my health journey! He was very down to earth and personable. I appreciate when people take their time with you and give A1 customer service and he did just that!

Nice gym. Seems a little bunched up together but tons of great equipment. I do wish they had more cable machines as I only saw one next to the studio. Big locker room area and everyone seems to be doing their own thing. It was also super clean. Don’t just look at the bad reviews as I’m sure a lot of them were from a while back. I’d recommend it. I like the equipment here more than the LA I usually go to. I will definitely be coming back here again 👍

This is the filthiest LA Fitness I’ve ever been to. It always smells terrible and the locker and restrooms are filthy as well.

I use to love coming here for the sauna and open classes. But the gym is so small that trainers and instructors started kicking me out the stretching areas and rooms when they had their classes and trainings, so I had no where to go to stretch or do my floor exercises. I stopped coming here. Trainers need their own area and not on public sections where paying customers also utilize.

decent gym, but what makes it so good is the employee attentiveness. there’s a young man that closes who is very nice. It was another late evening at the gym. I had been here countless times. I noticed him almost immediately. A young man, probably no older than 19, was going about his usual closing routine. He was attentive, moving quietly from machine to machine. His presence wasn’t imposing but strangely comforting. Maybe it was the way his dark eyes seemed to genuinely take in the room, watching over everything like a silent guardian. I had seen him a few times before, always around closing time. As I went through my last few sets, my focus drifted. I wasn’t paying attention when my foot slipped on the edge of the treadmill. Everything happened so fast—I reached out, trying to grab onto something, anything, but I felt myself falling. he was there. His strong hand caught me before I hit the ground, steadying me with surprising ease. “You okay?” His voice was low, but I could hear the concern in it. For a second, I just stared at him, mesmerized by how quickly he had moved, how effortlessly he had come to my rescue. I managed a nod, still in shock. “I didn’t even see you coming,” I said, trying to regain my composure. From that moment on, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t just a gym anymore. It was a place where I felt safe, where I knew that no matter how hard I pushed myself, there was someone there who noticed, who cared. Every time I came back, I would see him, working quietly in the background, and I couldn’t help but think that maybe this gym was special not because of the equipment or the atmosphere, but because of him. i think his name is fabian

The cleaning employees clean the machine while you’re using it and it’s ridiculous. This happens every time I’m there. At first they were just cleaning the front/sides of the machine which is annoying but fine. Then the other day I was running full speed on the treadmill and this employee with blue braids is mopping the area on the treadmill where you put your feet when you can no longer run. Use your brain. It’s dangerous and disrespectful. Contacted corporate and nothing has been done. They’re still doing it. It’s not even near closing time either so there’s no excuse.

All the employees are awesome. When entering the gym always greeted with hello, and a friendly smile. The gym is always clean, and that's very important to me.

My experience was during the night shift for reference. Clean, upkept equipment, chill staff. It was a very refreshing experience despite it being a tad smaller than my last pf in Peoria. Especially after trying xsport locally since they cannot seem to rack weights or refill anything.

I’ve been told so many negative things about Planet Fitness and It was the total opposite! I had a great time and look forward to going back when ever I travel. Unfortunately, there’s not a location close to my home but perfect for me as I travel for work!

This location is both convenient and the hours are flexible for my schedule. The problem is that the recumbent bikes all need to be fixed. I cannot believe that the staff has not noticed the condition of these bikes. I told one of the staff members today about the bikes. Hopefully they will be fixed or replaced.

Kookie’s Dance Den is an absolute gem! I took a few classes here and fell in love with the experience. The classes were fun, engaging, and just the right amount of challenging—I’ve never had so much fun while working out! I was ready to commit to a membership because this place truly felt like home—welcoming, energetic, and full of positive vibes. Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be any regularly scheduled classes anymore, with everything now being pop-up only. While I appreciate the option for virtual classes, nothing beats the energy and connection of in-person sessions. I really hope a regular schedule returns because this space is so special, and I would love to be a part of it again. Kookie’s Dance Den is 10/10—highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun, inspiring, and rewarding fitness experience! * Only gave 4 stars because I’m sad about the lack of in person classes

I LOVE love love it in the den! It’s so refreshing whenever you down or going through something. Just stop by Kookie’s dance den. She will make you forget about all your problems. It’s like therapy. Let’s not talk about TM2T kamp OMG😚! Kamp is where you really unleash, bond, and get to know other women’s . The DEN is the most safest place to be. Instead of calling up a friend to talk your problems out. You should try a class with kookie and you will keep coming back. And don’t forget on your first time buy the three classes for $25 pass.
