Best Gym near Norwalk, California

I really love coming to this gym! It’s always so clean and tidy, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. There are plenty of machines so if you do come during peak hours you don’t typically have to wait too long to use a machine. I really appreciate the warm welcome the staff gives when you walk in through the door, and that the locker room, restrooms, and showers are always very clean!

This location th employees r so rude. Go to another Esporta or LA Fitness as this one is a major disappointment. There r no saunas or whirlpools at this location. Every member I talk to complains of this. The weight machines are very limited and disorganized. Other locations have a wide variety of equipment and are very organized so you know which location to go tonight away. Here you have to wander around until you find the machine you want. There is only one disabled shower in the women's locker room and nodisabled ppl r always using it. So if you truly need this one good luck. They do have a sitting area so you can watch TV while u wit which is a waste of space. Use this area for more machines or saunas. They have a basketball court but I have only observed 1 person using it. Once again use it for machines or sauna and whirlpool. Parking is limited as so many businesses share this parking lot. Very difficult exitingand entering facility as it is on 2 busy streets. There r many separate rooms for different things and some of them aren't workout related.waste of space. Once again saunas or whirlpool.

I really like the view of this gym, very modern and all in bright colors. People of different ages, was there at noon time so it wasn’t too crowded. There only thing I was missing was the heat sauna. Besides that, great experience 👍🏼

Edit on Dec 4 2023: This gym has made a COMPLETE turnaround since my post & is under great management & staff. When the water ran cold here, I notified the ones in charge & they had that fixed the following morning. Amazing work! 👏🏾 Only gripe now is they could use better cleaning in the evening. The OG clearner in the morning is the BEST & there's not a single dirty spot but they need a couple more janitors like him, even though they're not easy to find. Edit around 2022: This USED to be a great gym. I stopped coming here for a good 6 months & when I came back, so much has changed. A lot of the great staff members have left & with so much turnover, as well as a few negative interactions I've had with some workers here, I'm convinced it's the worst staff I've experienced so far at an LA fitness location. The quality of the gym has decreased as well: They have two broken water fill machines (one in the swimming pool room, the other on the left, next to the basketball court) that haven't been fixed for MONTHS despite notifying the manager about it. They put a back workout mechanism (See pictures) in an inconvenient location to pull weights in & out because of a reinforcement beam in the middle (a problem that can be easily fixed by swapping places with the other back mechanism next to it, which wouldn't have that issue (told a sales rep about this). Not to mention a young service desk worker who couldn't get her eyes off her phone for 10 seconds to realize I stepped out the gym just to get my basketball out my car but found it to be a convenient excuse to accuse me of not scanning as she was "there all day & hasn't seen me walking in at all" after I've been here for two hours. I told her that I've been here & if she isn't sure, to find the operations manager & instead she sent a sales rep who "acted" as the operations manager, only to show aggression towards me & an ultimatum to "either walk all the way back to the front desk & scan or leave." Didn't even have the decency to consult with the actual operations manager before playing bodyguard to make sure I left. They don't care about the people who workout here. They got no respect or the best interest for anything or anyone other than getting your John Hancock & collecting their paycheck. I'm really fed up with this place. This gym had two op manager turnarounds and since they left, it hasn't been the same since. A damn shame really, since I enjoyed the environment this place once had. It was special. They were supposed to go 24/7 before covid but they don't have any excuse now since both Crunch & Planet Fitness have been doing it since last year. Might just let my membership run out with them, I no longer see any benefits on being with LA/Esporta fitness anymore. Original (around 01/2020): No sauna but it's my favorite spot. Heard rumors from a few workers that all Esporta clubs were supposed to go 24/7 before Co-Vid struck. Hope corporate revisits that idea since Planet Fitness & Crunch already have spots that are open 24/7.

Place was ok. All dumbbells are scattered. You can't even find the set. It's very busy so choose a time that your not wanting to wait so much on the equipment. Staff can do a better job at arranging dumbbell rack better

This used to be my preferred Crunch as the layout and atmosphere was great BUT they cannot keep the machines functional at all. Multiple machines broken all the time. Not sure what cleaning they do on the turf in the HIIT but it is so gross. On my last visit it appears to have some bug on the turf and I’m hoping they’re not bed bugs. So GROSS.

The managers here is rude. And the staff does not care. I tried to cancel my membership as I’ve found better cleaner gyms with more amenities to fit my goals and I arrived at 9 am to write a note to her to cancel my policy. They have a rule where you need to come after 10 am which in my opinion is unprofessional to not be open during business hours of at least 9 am for a cancelation, as I am a person that gets up a 3 am to and like to have all task done by 9 am. Anyway I left the note with the staff and they said they would give it to the manager and they never advised me that I could email her. I call back a week later and she says I never received a note. So I came in person 10 mins later. I just paid my bill and they said to cancel I’d have to pay another bill. Which my bill is due on the 3rd and today is the 16th so technically 30 days from today would be me only owing half the bill. Their practices are unfair and scammy! The facility is not up to par and the sauna is never hot and they stopped having the water massage. I have joined better gym and I was paying faithfully for the membership for years without going but 4 times. The manager has an unprofessional attitude and the staff could also use customer service inservice.

This is a great gym! It’s clean, there’s a lot of great machines to use, and the staff is extremely helpful. I had Christine help me today and she was very patient and left a very positive impact on my presence as a member there. Can’t say enough good things about this gym and its staff

Beginning to HATE THIS GYM. Whoever is at the front desk literally NEVER knows the correct information for anything. I called at 10 to see what time kids club close she says 12 I get there at 1045 walk in and they say kids club is close in 15 MINUTES!! The sauna is never hot. I don’t know how or why it’s so hard for people to close the sauna room door but if I let the employees know and they STILL can’t get up and make an attempt to see if it’s closed that’s just pure laziness. I’m canceling this membership FORSURE. This place is not beneficial to me anymore.

They increased the price of my membership without informing me. When asked about it, the manager lied and said an email was sent. When asked to resend the email that shows that I will be charged more, the manager said she doesn’t have the email. Huh? I regularly check my emails and did not receive any message from crunch about the price of my membership being increased. Beware because if they increase your monthly fee for no reason now, they can do it again and so on. Canceled membership shortly after.

Such a nice facility and nice workers too. They don't lie with their "judge free" statement. The workers are so helpful and helped me tremendously. I especially want to credit the handsome young man Damian that works there for he has helped me the most, whether it be in person or on the phone. Him and everyone else are a great help!

When I first started coming to Planet Fitness, I loved it so much but I signed up my grandson. He was excited he was coming and working out. He plays ice hockey and he was getting ready for the season. And then one time I came in and I left They called me to pick him up. He’s 16 years old. I have a black card and they said that he could not be there if I wasn’t there working out in regards to the policy this waiver was already signed. They allow kids under 18 with waivers in the summer so I don’t know why it changes during the school year. Bottom line the manager didn’t hand handle it well and now I’m going to cancel my membership.

The first time to go to the gym, it's so amazing for working out which I had not been for a long time since I was a teenager. Now I'm getting old maybe it's time to get back in shape. The facility here was cleaned and organized. The staffs here were awesome, courteous and friendly. You could try any machines in here at your own pace. There was no pressure at all. Be your own boss to do what fit you. I think I will sign up very soon.

It was busy at 10 pm 80% of the lot was full. It was far busier then the meter led me to believe. There were 50 cars in the lot. I advise calling them and asking how many people are currently in the club. If your like me and you don't want to be waiting for every piece of equipment you want to use.But the place was clean staff was cool and the lockers were clean the water did start getting cold while in the shower though after about 5 minutes. They have tanning, they have the hydro beds. They have lots of treadmills. A few ellipticals and some other novel equipment that's not in great numbers. But at the right time any clubs are great club if you're there by yourself.

This is my favorite gym by far that I've been to in my region!!! Love the vibes, the environment, the music, and best of all the people! They have a CLEAN facility with equipment not available in cookie cutter gyms like 24 Hour Fitness or LA Fitness. I definitely recommend a membership!!! Update!!! The new location is Fire! So much more space and I love the upstairs where sleds and TRX as well as other equipment are available. The addition of a separate space for the heavy leg day equipment so you don't have to walk far, and the outside space for flipping tires, etc rounds it out!!!

Fit Nation Fantastic gym to work out in, all the staff members are friendly and supportive! Best gym in LA, they have a lot of different machines. THIS IS NOT A BASIC GYM. I highly recommend it to anyone who is starting their fitness journey they will not disappoint you! If I could I would rate them 10 stars and more.

Love this place. No nonsense. People come to work and definitely not over crowded or weird.

Dishonest gym. I was in town for 3 days TDY for the military and wanted to work out. I visited Fit Nation and asked for a day pass. They said it's cheaper to pay for 1 month than 3 days. I said great, but I don't want a membership, I don't live in California. The woman at the desk said it's not a membership. The. She asked me to sign the waiver for injuries and that kinda thing. I signed their digital pad on the far side of the counter, unable to see the screen. Never did I think that any respectable business would cheat me by applying my signature to a recurring, no limit gym membership and then proceed to charge me every month. I called my credit card company and stopped the unauthorized charges. Now they have accumulated all this debt and want to try and damage my credit and my ability to buy a home. I've called their HQ, they are useless. They tell me to call the gym, where they haven't answered the phone in the 10+ times I've called. I can't even small claims them since I don't live in California! I'm left with no option but to hire a LA attorney to sue. Seems to be the only way to stop this unbelievable fraud. FAFO.

Great gym! Smaller than an LA or 24 but the atmosphere is amazing. You’ll be surrounded by motivated individuals. In the mornings, it’s pretty empty so you’ll have a whole gym to yourself pretty much. You’re surrounded by motivational imaged as well as the people around you. No judgments here. Felt welcomed and comfortable here. The owners are always present and eager to answer any questions you may have. The training staff is amazing as well! If you’re also looking for competition prep/ posing help this is the place to go.

Great Community College in the area my grandson and I love to go by every once in awhile play a game of handball so stop by the college get your education on and get ahead in life Norwalk Raider out

My son and I go to their swap meet. It runs on Saturdays and Sundays and is a great place to find good deals
