Best Gym near Newark, California

I’ve been a member of Fitness 19 for a while now, and it’s been a good experience so far. The gym is always clean, well-maintained, and the staff is friendly. A special shoutout to my trainer, Hailey. She is amazing; so detail-oriented, proactive, and truly professional. I feel completely comfortable working with her, and she really knows her fundamentals. She’s been great at tailoring workouts to my needs and always ensuring I’m using the proper form. She genuinely cares about helping me reach my goals, and I’ve seen great progress with her guidance.

Over all really clean gym. Everything is where it should be regarding the free weights. I always enjoy going here as it's not too packed depending on the time you go. The pricing is very affordable for a gym. I'm looking forward to trying The Vault. Staff are very helpful & knowledgeable.

On a 3-Day guest pass. So far the gym has been great not overly crowded and pretty clean. Great machines and great tunes being played while you work! I only wish 2 things for this gym 1 - they had a working concept 2 bike and a pool. But for the price I think this will be my next membership!

I really like this gym! It’s super affordable, and close to home and work. Machines are new-like. It’s really clean in the gym, and they provide sanitary wipes to clean equipment before and after use. I like that they have a punching/kick bag. I use it all the time. I enjoy using their massage and cryo chairs too! The staff is so friendly and very helpful.

Fitness 19 in Newark is a fantastic gym with great equipment, a clean environment and friendly staff. The Vault Area is a great bonus for serious training! A huge shoutout to Hailey Rodriguez—she’s an incredible personal trainer! Her workouts are challenging yet fun and she genuinely cares about your progress. If you’re looking for a trainer who will push you and keep you motivated, Hailey is the best!

I've been going here for almost two years. This place made me realize you don't need much to have a very solid gym. It's not the most equipped, there could be more classes, the building isn't the newest. However, the essential equipment is all there, it's never crowded, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the brand has good coverage if you need it. In a time when others chains rather spend money and space on psuedoscience facilities and/or ignore broken and dirty equipment, this gym is a great place to just show up and do your thing without any fuss.

I was here for a few days and used day pass (10$). Great gym. Clean enough and most importantly for me not crowded. It is very comfortable to workout here. Friendly staff. There is no typical changing rooms, but there are private bathrooms where you can shower and change. Thanks to Anytime ⚡️

Anytime Fitness is an excellent choice for anyone seeking a supportive and welcoming gym environment. The facility is always clean and well-maintained, creating a pleasant atmosphere for workouts. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to assist with any questions or provide guidance. I have been training with Trent Gallant and he has been extremely helpful in helping me meet my fitness goals. Additionally, the 24/7 access is a huge convenience, allowing you to fit your workouts into even the busiest of schedules. Overall, Anytime Fitness offers a fantastic experience that makes achieving fitness goals both enjoyable and attainable. Highly recommended!

I was a bit skeptical about joining a gym post COVID but I am pleasantly surprised how well kept and clean this gym is. It’s a bit smaller compared to my previous gyms but has most equipments that I use for weight training. I can see longer wait times once everyone is back to the gym but as of May 2021, the crowd has been well managed and everyone is wearing a mask at all times and wiping the equipment, mat, benches after use. I am signing up after my 7 day trail expires.

Ive been going to this gym for a few years now and my experience has been completely stellar! I love this place and the people! The equipment is in great condition and work amazing. The gym doesn’t get too packed like other gyms so you can get a really effective workout here. PS: This is not a fake review i am an actual person and no one paid me for this review

This once amazing gym has progressively declined since management has changed. During my last visit, 5 machines were inoperable. The current management team should be ashamed to let a once amazing gym, fall to a new low in standards and service. Absolutely disappointing and has made me seek fitness goals with other gyms.

Me, along side with my church group and classmates will soon stop coming to this gym and cancel our memberships. These pictures prove my point. Most of the treadmills have out of service signs, and the signs have been there for a long time. The entire facility is visibley poorly maintained. We all are paying hard earned money. I’ll copy this complaint to regional management and upload to 24 hours contact section on the website.

Clean, safer, big parking lot, at the mall. However steam room been down, hot tub jets broken. Homeless trashing/camping in the men's bathroom, tub. Security enforcement needed.

Ok, changing my 1 star to 3, as some improvements were made recently… Now give me a bit more wet cleaning around, wipe that dust from equipment and I’ll change it to 4)))

This gym has went down the hole. Dirty machines broken for weeks months. Kinda sad because I like the sauna but for lifting weights I’d rather go to planet fitness it’s actually clean and all machines work. I wake up early morning and when I pull in this gym now it makes me cringe…. Like disgusting. From the bathrooms to the machinery. A gym that’s membership is 3-4x more than planet fitness should be able to go to home depot and fix a machine. Some it’ll cost few $$$ with a simple bolt or fixing a pully instead of covering it in oil. Like the maintenance person isn’t that bright.
