Best Gym near Missouri-city, Texas

Mo-City has one of the best Life Time facilities and staff members in the state hands down. When it comes to their state of the art facility, their safety of members belongings are lacking. Last night, on Tuesday (9-18-24) between 7pm - 11pm, there were 7 vehicles that were broken into, vandalized, a victim’s wallet stolen and another victim’s handgun stolen in the parking lot. The wallet stolen was later determined, the credit card inside was used to make an unauthorized purchase at the Walmart down the street by the suspect(s). This ongoing burglary of a motor vehicle has been a major concern since members come to this facility to enjoy and not worry about their safety. Knowing your security personnel departs at 6pm, it makes no sense. With the amount of money members pay for this facility, there should be minimum of a security staff member on site during all business hours to deter any criminal activity. I attend this facility late at night, and you even have female staff members that leave the facility alone. I would never have my daughter leave and lock up a gym by herself, and walk across the parking lot by herself at 12am. This place has more victims than members. Safety is a necessity, and should be utmost priority of the facility. Life Time has to do better, or else criminals will take over and member will not feel safe at all. Mo- City PD will be contacted to get their tower installed in the parking lot. This is not a good look, but get passed your image and focus on the safety of the members, which should be the utmost priority. This post will be removed once Life Time implements changes for their staff and members safety. Thank you!

I have since canceled my membership here.* Horrendous non-existent service from the management, minimal to no security at a really expensive, nicely equipped gym, non-management staff is courteous but you’d expect that at a gym like this. Mine and 6 other vehicles were broken into on 9/17/24. I was parked up front, first spot by the pool. *Incident resulted in an insurance claim close to $8k and inconvenience of being without my car for over 7 weeks.* Manager was “kind” enough to finally call and email me after 48 hours once I complained to corporate and made a phone call. Offered one month dues waiver as if it was sufficient and has yet to email back. I had emailed with all charges I am incurring. Forget upping the ante, she doesn’t even care to respond back. I doubt the email went to her junk mail bcs I responded to her initial email. You would think this was the first instance here but in speaking to the Missouri city sheriff department and other members at the gym this is a regular occurrence. It happened a day after my incident, weekend before my incident, month before, 6 months prior, you get the point. You would think it only happens during late hours, turns out members have had same experience during the day. The gym or might I say “Country Club” management states parking is at your own risk. I get that part, I actually did not lose any belongings from my car I don’t leave anything inside but what about some general security so thugs don’t come break in and potentially harass members? Sounds like they don’t want to own up to their shortcomings and liabilities. I am planning to cancel as I have not seen any changes or remorse or courtesy to respond back to my inquiry. They can keep at it and will not see stable membership. Never thought I would get frustrated by a gym that looks as nice and cost as much as this dump.

Even tho is a beautiful location the customer service and hydro massage chair is horrible. I came with my guest today to let the front desk know that I couldn’t register through the app and I needed help doing it the old way. They laughed and the guy at the front desk throw a joke that my guest didn’t enjoyed or maybe I though it wasn’t a joke He said let’s see if you are not lying to me face serious, and my guest ask what do you mean, he said regarding the issue about registering the guest online. 😐 she took it as an offense, a minute later we try to use the hydro massage just to find out the cut of time on the weekend is until 12. I mean is 3pm no one is using it why limit the time? The membership is already very expensive for us not to be able to use the amenities within business hours. I never had this issue at any other location!

Love this gym. Pilates classes are great. The kids have fun in the kids club. Swimming is great too.

These guys promised all these amenities and then ended up charging extra for all of them... One of the main reasons I was a founding member with my son's was so we would have a place to use as a second office or study facility and they locked it down and you must pay extra to access this area of the club now. So you can't even get into the business and study area if you're just a regular premium member. Then I signed up a year in advance on a waiting list, before the club was even built, and became a "founding member" with the promise that I would have a lifetime discount on my membership and it turns out that I found out after a year now that I'm paying the EXACT same price that's being given to people coming off the street and becoming a member now. Totally deceptive in misleading and totally devalues and shows no loyalty to the founding members (All we have different than the regular members is a free leather bag!) on top of this I put in three different phone calls and left messages at the desk for the manager of the gym to call me back regarding this and not once was I ever contacted! Terrible customer service! And the chiropractic and rehabilitation center never seems to be open, nor does half the amenities in the gym when you want to use them.... And of course the never-ending slew of lack of security for the members with all the vandalism in the parking lot. Absolutely terrible management at this gym!!!!!! Outrageous pricing with terrible management and never ending up-charges for everything, including a $50 charge to bring a guest with you into the gym!

We love the three lane 25-yard pool with clean and nicely tempered water at 84 F degrees. Great for lap swim since the lanes are much wider than let’s say at YMCA or other public pools. Plus spacious whirlpool and wet and dry sauna. Of course, a lot of machines for workout, even that’s not my thing. However, I watch people on Matrix elevators go to workout heaven, while dipped up to ears in the bubbling water. The whole wet area is exquisitely clean as well.

Ms Dupree operation manager was made aware of problems including it not limited to: no paper towels, no sanitation wipes and dirty/unsanitary conditions. Instead of addressing the issues, she turns it around on me and tells me that she’s not worried about it doesn’t bother her and goes on and on about all kinds of crazy dramatic stuff. She finished off by saying that I didn’t have to come to this location if I don’t like it exactly the opposite attitude needed to be a good operations manager. Ms Dupree’s combative, and argumentative disposition definitely makes me feel unwelcome here it’s the closest one to me, but I will definitely make it a point to start going to another location Update try to get in touch with the regional Director, but evidently they forwarded the information to the Director over this area Upon talking to her, it was clear and evident that she was totally going to cover up for Mrs. Dupree. Apparently, the operation manager can talk to customers, however she wants with immunity But I will follow Mr. Dupree advice and go to another location where I don’t have to deal with drama, dirty looks or be insulted. Really like the people at this location, but I look at my gym as a place to recharge and unwind not to deal with drama Update 10/30/24 Still no wipes to disinfect equipment. This time I didn’t inform ms Dupree because it is obvious that she knows and could care less I will quote her “some people don’t use them”. lol what a joke

The gym is decent. Has lot of options and equipments. The only feedback will be to have couple of extra lifting zone. Bathroom and facility is in good shape. Maintaining the hygiene if dual responsibility of the members and the management.

Edit: They now close their doors at 7pm on weekends. Well, technically it’s 8pm but if you arrive at 7pm they won’t allow entry. That was the icing on the cake as to why I’m giving the gym a 1 star instead of 2. If they’re short staffed, maybe they should figure out why the employee retention rate is the way it is internally without bleeding their issues on to the their paying customers. Honest feedback as a member for about a year: I was expecting the club to be a lot nicer and bigger for it being located in Sienna. This goes out to management. The layout of the gym was poorly planned out, it's TOO small for the amount of people they're trying to get in there. The equipment isn't so great here either, only two squat racks, one row of weights, one smith machine, barely enough benches. The cardio machines take up a majority of the space. There are so many empty large rooms that are not being used in that facility which could hold more equipment for the members. Everyone here looks so unmotivated to workout and I just don't look forward to my workouts here but unfortunately it's my only option at the moment. The plus side is, the new workers are kind and sweet, I hope they stay around longer that the last set of employees. The restrooms and the ground floors of the gym are kept relatively clean. I wish they did have better sanitary stations as I feel the hand sanitizer and the moist towelettes are cheap.

The people that go to this gym are super nice and sweet but the management has to go. Kizzy Dupree has the nastiest attitude I’ve seen any manager have at a gym. She’s always giving dirty looks and is not friendly. I have no idea how she’s even a real estate agent too. The quality of this gym has gone down and many times there are no cleaning wipes in any of the wipes stations. LA fitness needs to look into this location if they want it to improve. Their own inside management is what’s causing the downfall of this place.

I love, love, love this gym. It's just the right size to do everything you want without feeling crowded. I started going during covid and now can't imagine going back to a larger gym. The cleanliness is unmatched. Lastly, since working with Charles my son has put on 20 lbs of clean muscle that has helped his golf game tremendously.

The gym is clean and spacious with well maintained equipment.

I’ve been going here since September 2021. I was at LA Fitness but this gym is closer to my home. This is a pretty decent gym to get a good work out in. The pro for me is the 24hr access as I have long work days. I can work out anytime and even on holidays. The cons are there are no lockers(which I hate because anyone has access to my belongings) and there’s no showers.?The fact that the highway 6 location has lockers and 2 showers upsets me. It makes more sense to place lockers where there are open cubbies. The other con is not enough equipment. More free weight machines (especially chest and back would be nice). Overall pretty good gym but I do expect more from a sienna location.

Love this gym in comparison to bigger chains. I've been a member since September 2022. It's nice & clean, staff are friendly and helpful. The energy is highly motivating & a peacful place to workout. I plan on staying here, until I get to my body goals completed

Bri was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about everything and extremely personable. She talked me through the process and what to expect. I was able to see a difference after one treatment, but big difference after 3. I was so impressed I bought another 3 treatments to get where I wanted to be! I will definitely be back as she had a wide variety of services I can’t wait to try!

I did 12 sessions with Bri who explains everything very clearly on what we can achieve by the end. She is very honest and knowledgeable about the expectations of the final result. She educates you on what she expects from you to work at to achieve the best results including exercises, water intake, and diet. Her background of being a trainer really helps since she informs you the best workouts for you to target the area you want with the best results. You can see a significant difference from day one and after the third session my coworkers even noticed a difference as well. The more sessions done and the tighter and more toned you will be. I definitely recommend her to anyone looking to better themselves. I'm very happy with my results and will definitely be coming back!

Bri is awesome. She really cares about her clients. I did the laser Lipo and got noticeable results !

I'm not a typical reviewer. In fact I just dont do them unless I had a really bad experience. However, The experience I had with Bri at Bodies made by Bri was such an exceptional experience I had to share. Brie made me feel very comfortable and it is obvious she has a passion for her job. She really seems to care about each person and the results of what you want to achieve seem as important to her as it is to you as her client. I highly recommend you try Bri as your Aesthetician it is an experience you will enjoy. I am already scheduling additional services with her.

Bri is a doll! She is a hidden gem. What distinguishes her from any other beauty/aesthetics spa is that she is a professional. She has an extensive background in personal training. And she’s incredibly passionate about her job and her clients’ vision. She is immensely talented in what she does. She is just the absolute best. Not to mention she radiates happy energy! Her spa feels like sunshine. You will never be uncomfortable with her. Did I mention how authentic and honest she is? She will not deceive you about her services and she answers all questions thoroughly. She is just amazing. 1000000/10. Do not think twice. Just go to her. Trust me. I never leave reviews, but she deserves this one.
