Best Gym near Lewisville, Texas

Quality of this gym has gone down dramatically. The floors are horrible, dust bunnies everywhere. Some days, as soon as I walk in, it smells like urine. Machines are not cleaned professionally. Hip thrust machine belts are hanging by a thread. Benches are so worn out. They just repainted the inside of the gym but couldn’t fix machines that have been broken for weeks. The restrooms are so disgusting. Everything needs a DEEP DEEP DEEP clean. I’ve avoided going to the sauna because I can’t even think about how many different types of germs there are in there. I tried being patient and thought maybe I was overplaying it but I’m glad most of the reviews feel the same.

I have been going to this gym since it has been opened. I mainly going to the gym for amenities of racquetball court, spa, pool, and the daycare. Every year, the gym is regressing. The people are nice and see the regulars members, however the spa is not working properly with the jets, men's shower have mildew in the shower stall (which I made them aware and didn't clean), racquetball court needs to be sweep/mop (court has dried blood on the floor), and the entire gym is not upgrading nor maintained properly I have been at other 24hr gyms that are older with much older equipment but is In better shape equipment and CLEANED. When my membership is comes closer to the end, I will search for other gyms with the same amenities and better management in taking care of the gym. By taking care of the gym, it show you are taking care of their customers. I had enjoyed the gym, I had sent many friends and family to the gym. They have the same issues with this specific gym, which is sad. This people drive pretty far for this gym to use the amenities. I truly hope it gets better.

I signed up for a 3 day pass as I recently moved to the area and have been gym shopping. On 11/7/2024 I used the 3 day pass with no problem. The person looked at my email and my ID and let me in. I went today on 11/9/24 (still within the 3 day period). It’s a different guy at the desk and I show him my ID and 3 day pass email. He says that they aren’t doing passes until 11 when the sales team gets there and that I need to have a local ID for the pass to be valid. He also stated that since I was a member in the past (In 2018 and in a different state) that I was not eligible for the pass. Per your policy stated online “3-day pass is valid beginning on your first day of usage at a club. Pass good at multiple locations. User must not have been a guest or member of 24 Hour Fitness within the last 6 months. Photo ID required. Local residents only. No other discounts can be used with this offer.” So after reading this I do qualify for the 3 day pass I just didn’t know I needed to show my apartment lease contract to prove residency. My apologies.

This place is discussing. The staff ignore the cleanliness of this facility. I assume that if you work there that part of your job description would be to clean. But no that's not the case. Management should do better with delegating the cleanliness of the equipment and the locker rooms. It is managed poorly. I expected more from this particularly facility.

Edited again July 1. Its been a while since I wrote this review. Went back to visit 24 on a saturday. Same machines still broken. Hot, crowded, trash everywhere. Its like a public bus now. edited;: just went and signed up at LA fitness. added a few of their pics to show how nice in comparison to 24. see the last 3 photos. The second I walked into LA fitness I realized how truly bad 24 is. They should just get rid of all of their machines and start over frankly. Cold AC, clean machines, clean bathrooms.... bye bye 24! I’ve been a member of 24 hour since 1992 and have thousands of workouts under my belt. I’ve been with this location since it was first opened Sadly, this gym has gone completely downhill. Their prices keep dropping and they’re not making as much money as it appears. The gym is always needing a huge Band-Aid. Broken machines everywhere, torn padding on many machines as well . Some haven’t been fixed in over a year. Cushions need to be replaced. I’ve cut myself on several machines from exposed, un protected machine parts. The gym is crowded and whats even worse is because a lot of the machines don’t work everybody’s climbing on the few machines that do work. If only there was another gym closer to my house I would’ve been gone a long time ago from 24. Beware if you are trying to find a gym near you that this one needs a complete overhaul. The staff is great. However, they seem to be just as frustrated as the people that work out here at the condition of the gym, and the fact that upper management at corporate will not fix the problem. Despite repeated attempts to get these things repaired, rumour is they are out of money and simply cannot afford it. I should give it one star, however the staff at this gym are wonderful people and have their hands tied from the money crunchers at corporate.

Don’t let the outside of this gym fool you, it’s super clean and spacious inside. Pros: Plenty of room to work out and stretch. Nice, comfy mats. Lots of multi-use equipment. Very friendly vibe and terrific staff. Clean! Cons: This Planet fitness 30-minute workout is geared more towards taller and longer armed people. Most Planet Fitness in my travels do not have this same equipment in their 30-minute circuit. You can only adjust these machines so far. :( You can find some comparable machines, but not all. The other issue I have is there are no hooks for towels anywhere in the shower room. Ya need some hooks!! Would give 4.5 stars if I could!

Love many things about Planet Fitness (at least this specific location, I haven't been to others) Extremely Clean environment. They have the A/C ICE COLD (good thing!) I like the cardless purchases of beverages without having to go to my locker and get my CC. Love the Membership SPA type equipment like the Massage chairs and the tanning booths. New and well maintained equipment (not run down or broken)

Absolutely love this location. It’s kept clean and never too crowded. Staff is friendly and are always available and eager to help.

Really clean but the service here is the worst I've seen at a location. Never anybody at the desk and if you finally get help they will run off again. Not sure if they are just understaffed or the people here just hate working there but either way weird vibes from staff but otherwise great.

Very excellent place to work out very good clean place bathroom is clean. Shower is clean all day. Equipment is wiped and clean floor is clean. Very good hospitality. very good hospitality people friendly place 24 seven axis. anytime you can go work out and build healthy life. I recommend this place.

I want to give a big thanks to Marshall, one of the managers at this location. He was incredibly helpful and went out of his way to make sure I had everything I needed. He cares about creating a great experience for members. His professionalism and positive attitude really stood out.

This gym has fallen completely. I worked out at this location 2 months ago and it was somewhat clean. It’s disgusting dirty now. Bathroom was gross, pool area very dirty with everything from dirt, hair and bugs. In pool too. I wonder if they ever clean. I get people come and go but it’s worse than just people coming in and making small messes. Won’t be back. Just got rid of membership.

THIEVES THIEVES THIEVES! The place has thieves roaming around. People break into the locker room and steal items. My cash was stolen from my gym bag even though I locked up my items in their locker room. All this happened within the peak hours 5-7pm on a weekday. Just imagine how likely it can happen if you go in off hours. Many lockers doors are broken badly, no doubt this has been happening ever since. They take hundreds of bucks as initiation fee, yearly fee, and still its not a safe place. Had I been knowing this, I would have never joined. I dont recommend going to this place.

Within the last six months, this club has started to deteriorate. I spoke with the manager about repairs and maintenance and she was obviously frustrated also. Since this is a privately on corporation, there is not much that I can do except write a poor review on Google. However, each LA fitness club is different. This is the second time I’ve been in the last three weeks where there has been no hot water for the showers and or the whirlpool. I don’t believe anybody will do anything about this review but at least I’m trying.

Awesome staff, especially Al Ervin. He's very professional from start to finish. He answered all my questions and was very helpful. The gym is great overall - just wish they can keep up with filling the sanitary wipes to wipe down the machines. I know some people just don't use them, but it is still necessary in the gym environment.

Nice sports tournament facility. However, parking is the worst of the northern metro gyms. Easy access off I-35E.

Great facility for volleyball and basketball.

Robert showed me around the gym and I was so impressed with his salesmanship. He was knowledgeable, bubbly, and took time to hear me out. I’ve been to many gyms across Texas and I was captured by the staff at this club! All smiles and all willing to help. Was even excitedly greeted upon walking in with my 3 year old. As far as the amenities and gym itself- I appreciated that the equipment was being cleaned. Something many gyms in the area lack. There’s a woman’s only section- very rare and much needed! I’ve paid triple, even 5x at other gyms that don’t offer as much or have the caliber of staff that this gym has. VERY impressed

The group classes are a great bonus. Highly recommend this gym to anyone looking for a welcoming and motivating environment!”

My doctor recommended I find a gym to start doing simple workouts and I was intimidated to look anywhere, but everyone here at Fitness Connection was nice and welcoming! My mother has a membership here so they let me look around before signing up. I really like the women’s room, it had all the machines I was looking for and it’s quiet and cozy. It’s a great place to work out. Richard was very helpful and quickly signed me up. I’m glad I found my gym.

I haven't been to a gym in 10 years so didn't know what to expect. It's clean and doesn't allow filming which is great. I don't want to end up on a Joey Swoll video! I wish they were 24 hrs but I go at 5am when they open on weekdays and 7am on weekends. There have been a few times when the person supposed to unlock the doors was 5-10 minutes late but it's rare. An automatic lock system could fix this....don't know why they don't install one. The equipment is maintained and people are considerate. No crazy weight dropping cavemen.

I just moved to the area and needed a new gym. I walked in and the staff were really friendly which I’m not used to at the gym! They got to know me to make sure they were a good fit for my goals. They have a women only area that is awesome and makes you feel comfortable. It was an easy yes for me and I am excited to start working out now!
