Best Gym near Hialeah, Florida

HUGE, bustling gym! I visited at 8PM on a weekday and it was very busy. Wide variety and number of machines and cardio, pretty large indoor pool and locker room. Didn't like that showers had no soap dispensers, low water pressure and members were kinda meh and a lil rough around the edges as you might expect in this more cosmopolitan area. If you don't mind this, a good place to workout.

FREE WEIGHTS AREA IS A MESS. There are plates, dumbbells, barbells and mats all over the floor. It’s impossible to find a decent pair of dumbbells. The dumbbell rack is very empty and weights are mismatched. LAF needs to enforce the rules to ensure that members are cleaning up after themselves and being courteous. this ruined my workout. I did not see any personal trainers on the floor with clients. Probably because they can’t find any weights to use since it’s so messy. the personal training Director needs to take responsibility & walk the floor. Hot tub is not hot. It’s a little warm. :/ Definitely need to increase the temperature of the spa! This was very disappointing. I finally got out to just go stand in the hot shower instead. The sauna is hot enough tho 👍 And there is body soap provided in showers.

LA Fitness gym in Hialeah is extremely disappointing. The facilities are in terrible condition, and it seems like they’re not cleaned regularly. The biggest issue is the so-called “manager,” Gustavo, who is incredibly arrogant and treats customers poorly if you disagree with him. I tried canceling the personal trainer service several times, but they always made it difficult because Gustavo was “unavailable.” How is it possible that only one person is in charge of this? On top of that, I was told cancellations couldn’t be done on weekends. It’s absurd and unfair to have to work around his schedule. In summary, I absolutely do not recommend this gym. Save your money because the price is not worth it at least not at the Hialeah location. There are much better options in the area.

The facility is excellent but the people that attend the gym are extremely inconsiderate, they take the weights and they do not put them back. You spend about 5-8 minutes looking for weights and sometimes they are in the middle of the bicycles and treadmills. The gym staff should do a better job on putting them back or start enforcing rules.

Stopped by to check it out and ended up having a great experience with a very knowledgeable and friendly staff member, Alex. He gave me a very thorough tour and explained everything in detail. I love that he took his time and I felt no pressure to join. The facility is clean, machines are great, and it’s not an intimidating environment. Thank you Alex!

They have a pool here. One of the best planet fitness I’ve been to it used to be at LA fitness I believe but man they got great equipment in there. A lot of free weights racket ball basketball. I will be back.

It could be better. If only planet fitness will have more free weights instead of fixed motion machines. Overall, it's a nice place to work out.

This gym is great it’s the best one in Hialeah people here are good people never had a problem with any machines, it’s a very organized gym as well, Yandel which is one of the employees who works here has great customer service overall awesome guy very respectful and helpful as well, I recommend this gym 1000% !!

This gym is clean but the weights aren’t on the racks, this gym is disorganized. People take the weights and leave them wherever they want. This behavior only happens in Hialeah

This is not a worthy gym to attend. Staff never cleans, staff never places equipment back. Every machine that is usable is about to break down or it simply has a “no working” sign, it is never repaired. The sauna and steam room are never working and the bathroom is always dirty and full of bugs. There is dust everywhere, I remember coming here since I was little with my mother & wow it has not changed, it has not upgraded. The quality has spiraled immensely, you cannot jog without feeling like the machine is about to break down. This location is so aware of their defects if you obtain membership here it is cheaper than any other location, with that being said I was caught in the “deal” but after many months of no improvement and struggle enough is enough. Here is my review and the last time ever utilizing this gym.

I wish I could give them Zero stars . EVERYTHING IS OXIDATE AND OLD. I don't know if that's the pool but the water was green bad green. The only good point here is that this gym is far away from my house I just came by because I wanted to workout early in the day. also the sauna everyone can see YOU.

I had a great experience at this gym! The front desk staff is wonderful—especially the lady who greeted me. She was friendly, helpful, and made me feel welcome right away. The gym itself is clean and well-maintained, with a wide variety of machines that make it easy to get a good workout in. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice, hassle-free place to exercise!

Good gym to workout, never crowded. It has all you need to feel good after the workout. The cardio area is big and the choices of weight machines are diverse.

Excellent customer service! I usually go early in the morning, and the gym is always clean and quiet. The personal trainer, Manuel Alejandro, is exceptional. I enrolled a year ago in personal training sessions, and he has been fantastic. Super professional and highly recommended, 100%!

This Youfit is small, but has everything one needs for efficient workouts. Some other reviews have pointed out that the weights tend to be scattered; that it's a mess, but you can't blame the gym staff for people's lack of self-government. They do their best to reorganize when they're able. One thing is the bathroom is pretty nasty, they could do a better job of taking care of it. The hand soap runs out and sometimes for days it seems nobody bothers to refill. Stalls tend to be broken and taped up a lot. Aside from the bathroom, though, the actual gym is kept relatively clean. Since it's small, though, it's not recommended that you come during peak hours (4:30 - 8:00 PM) or you'll have am extremely difficult time getting a workout because of the immense crowd. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall, the gym is decent for being the only Youfit in Hialeah.

I’ve been going to this gym for a while. Otto the personal trainer is excellent, incredibly knowledgeable, professional and genuinely passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals. If you’re looking for a trainer who will truly invest in your success, look no further.

The place has the worst gym culture I’ve experienced since I started lifting. Employees are not rude, but very nonchalant and always on their phones chilling at the reception. Weights are always scattered, unorganized, and you can spend 10 minutes just trying to get the equipment together before properly starting your workout. It always smells weird in there too, especially the bathrooms, they’re disgusting. I transferred to this gym since it’s so close to me but I am on my way to pines location right now to switch back, the 35 minute drive outweighs the convenience just for the sake of a good experience. It’s a gym, it shouldn’t be too hard to run it effectively you just need a captain who’s gonna care about building proper gym etiquette, that includes teaching your clientele how to take care of this gym for everyone else sharing it.

Very nice place where you can work out without the lines of people on every machine. Very friendly owner and locals. Only bad thing is some of the cushions on 1 or 2 machines are damaged and some of the 2nd floor machines are really out of date. Other than that, this is a great place where you can come and focus on your work out. The plans are very affordable specially for women, and best of all you dont have to give all your personal information such as YouFit and no contracts such as LA Fitness. Great gym would recomend to anyone that comutes or lives nearby.

This place is great to exercise. I did lose a lot of weight but I stopped exercising (my fault). I stopped smoking cigarettes!!! but I gained the weight back plus 12 extra pounds :( My advice, this place has an upstairs so there's more room to exercise. The price is cheap ($15 for women) and ($30 for men) all this with no contract. Just give it a chance and you will see what i'm talking about ;-)

I have been to many gyms before, but honestly the vibe in Prime time is just amazing. ;) so many cool and down to earth people, everyone helps each other to become the best version of our self. The owner Eddy and his son Brandon are super cool, and all the guys are super respectful. And of curse you must go and train with Project Havana Fit (Dayana) AKA LOLA, we are the famous LOLITAS lol we make sure we make our workouts super fun and exciting. Lets get it!!! :)

A no frills mom and pop style gym in Hialeah. Limited equipment but they all work. Cardio stuff upstairs, free weights down stairs, one squat rack, two smith machines, and a variety of fixed machines. Bring a towel and hand sanitizer if you are squeamish about germs. I honestly really enjoy gyms like this and its proximity to me made me sign up. No contracts, you can pay monthly or in advanced. Not a 24 hour gym.

It's a quiet place with a bit of everything you need. The vibe is chill and it's miles better than a big gym chain. In summer the AC can't keep up and it can get a bit hot, but if you're in the area I recommend it.

This is a family run business and the service is always exceptional. Despite being a small gym they have all the fitness equipment you will need for a complete workout. It is always very clean. I have been going there for over 10 years.

A Great Gym that exceeded all my expectations with a wide array of modern equipment. Staff and atmosphere is positive everyone’s welcoming and eager to help which creates a great community vibe. The Personal trainers are top-Notch and very knowledgeable providing customized plans that have really helped me reach my fitness goals.

Great gym with all the machines you need and the nicest owners who are super welcoming to everyone. You rarely have to wait long or at all for the equipment you need even during the after work rush, and there's always plenty of parking. It's a good place if you're a bodybuilder or someone who just wants to tone up a bit.

I’ve got over a decade of gym experience; this gym is in a convenient location however make sure to super set with dumbbells you already find or add more time to your rest in between sets because it’s like a damn scavenger hunt to find the dumbbells you need. Seriously, no matter what time of day it is, they’re scattered everywhere and the employees are at their desks all day. There’s no sauna. Restrooms are clean at least. I do like how there’s always disinfectant wipes around. Staff’s attitude is hit or miss, but who cares about that, we are here to lift and leave. People at the gym are kind too. There is no trap bar! It’s usually very packed regardless of the time. Introverts, beware. They got basically all the equipment you need.

This place has no personal for cleaning or to keep the place in order, clients leave weights everywhere and don’t have any manners. People use headphones and throw the weights. Streching side is disorganized (there are notes to not bring weights that clients not follow) and it says for people to not bring weights there are not only that but a woman brings her steps and throw it to the floor. Another day when I spoke to a lady that was with a personal trainer she told me the personal trainer told her to leave the weights there and he said yes… outrageous even personal trainers let this happen. Not cleaning wipes either. Very dissatisfied.

The way this gym operates completely and utterly ridiculous. The trainers come in with their clients and hog the squat racks and dumbbells for HOURS. They don't share the equipment whatsoever and when you ask they say they're using it when they clearly aren't. This is an everyday occurrence thats needs to change. Why are they using up the common area if there's an area designated for personal training. Mind you this is at 5 AM, I couldn't even imagine coming here in the afternoon

I started the gym on my own on January 2024 and found the gym to be amazing with its commodities from the front desk, to the quality of the machines to the cleaning staff. I decided to start training with Jesus, one of their trainers about 4 months ago and it was the best decide on I could have made. I didn’t go to the gym every day and thanks to him I grew more discipline and came every day to my training sessions. He was amicable and explained prices as well as training plans for me. He also educated me on proper nutrition and exercises to help achieve my goals. I recommend him 100%.

Camila , is great excelente persona to have in Customer Service, very professional and polite , she explained all details of my membership that I have not been used for 1 years( I came to cancel my membership) and without any free stuff, she made me see the value of the experience her and why should I come to relax and exercise, I decided to update all my info she was super fast and accurate, I will start coming early to this place. Good to deal with this person.

The gym is nice. It's the the people. To many campers. People will sit on equipment forever. They will sit there and use their phone. They text, talk etc and stay on a machine forever. What is terrible is this is not even when it's crowded. For an actual 20 min worth of exercise I spend more than an hour because waiting for machines.

this is honestly one of the best gyms i have ever worked out at to be honest with you, the staff is amazing and friendly and always attentive to everything that needs to be cleaned/changed. also they have a very handsome worker with a beard that’s very nice 10/10

Zero hot water for showers or washing hands. I'm pretty sure they don't even have a water heater because in 30 minutes of letting it run, there wasn't even a hint of warmth. And the shower drain didn't drain, so after my cold shower, I was ankle deep in cold water. Then, both hydromassage tables were out of order. So don't go here if you want to take a warm shower and relax after your workouts. I asked the front desk about it, and he just shrugged it off, saying, "I dunno." I asked to talk to the manager, and he just said, "She's in the back." There was no attempt to get ahold of her. Good thing I'm just passing through this area. Worst pf I've seen so far.

Worst company ever!!! Planet fitness make very complicated to the clients.and give hard time to clients to cancel membership,I went to the oficce in multiples time to cancel my membership and They always told me that the Manager is the only one that have access to cancel this, and the manager is not at this moment. It is not aceptable that a big company like this does not have a manager available or and associate or online access to do this procedures. When the client have the right to cancel at anytime, please give the way and the tools to client to make life easy,unfortunately we do not have time to go in person at the location for this matter , its a waist of time.the associates are very nice and friendly, but they dont have access to give a solution to client.

Great pool to bad the staff and life guards are super rude to children. They looked like they did not want to be there everything we did bothered them. Do not waste your money here. They are super strict and don’t like when the kids are having a good time. The life guards were smoking their vapes and looked annoyed.

Staff was rude! The young lady in the office was very unprofessional. If you aren't happy at your work place don't take it out on the customers, take it up with your boss. I think the only nice staff memeber was the security guard.

Ever since Miami Dade took over this YMCA, the improvements have been endless. Brand new weight training room with more natural light and new equipment. Friendly and upbeat staff. All sorts of classes included with your membership and most importantly of all, a family-first atmosphere. I love this place and highly recommend you to check it out!

Absolutely the worst gym I’ve ever been in terrible staff very rude alongside the owner very disrespectful and childish blowing kisses at me and my girlfriend no wonder the prices are so low horrible maintenance most machine are broken or have problems adjusting seats to actually get a good training session if I could put negative reviews I would 1 star is too good for this gym

Didn’t provide a one time free pass to try the gym. Provided a letter with correct information. Front desk lady was rude and didn’t bother to read the letter, said I couldn’t enter and couldn’t provide me a one time free pass. Lady should be informed better and no be kicking people out.

good gym,very nice owners. though it can seem a bit small the machines are always available . i use to love the spinning classes and zumba classes they had. im not sure if they still offer them. you would have to call or ask in person if they still do

It’s a shame for a woman to grow old without ever seeing the strength & beauty of which her body is capable!!! At 45 I’ve been a Crossfitter for over 4 years, and Gainz Fit has truly become my second home. The box is CLEAN, great programming, professional Rogue equipment, CLEAN showers, great kids room (they even provide snacks) the coaches genuinely strive and care to make you a better athlete. From proper technique, to pushing you out of your comfort zone they are always there to assist you. I have grown so much in the past year. The positive energy of the box is like no other we work hard, and wod even harder! Fellow athletes helping one another, and the loudest cheers are those helping a fellow member push through those last grueling reps before the clock stops. If you’re looking for a box that will challenge you physically, and help you achieve goals you never thought possible Gainz Fit is definitely the spot!

My experience at Gainzfit was amazing. I learned a lot and the various equipment's were nice and a lot to choose from. The vibes were very fulfilling. The bathrooms were very clean.
