Best Gym near Grand-blanc, Michigan

It’s fine if you never need them for anything or want to take a guest. Every single time I took a guest there was an issue. They’d tell me that I need to go home get online and fix it myself, but when I did the issue continued. Then they wouldn’t let my daughter in because she didn’t have a license. I said she’s only 15, but they wouldn’t budge. No entry. If you don’t really care about customer service or proper procedures this is your place. If you’re paying double and expect what’s presented to you I’d recommend a different location and company. The manager was ten feet from me. Didn’t address me or even act like I was there. He talked around me and wouldn’t look at me.

Front Desk Gentleman is constantly on his phone when I come in to work out. I'm not sure he can hear with headphones in either. The night staff does do a phenomenal job on cleaning. However I do not think they receive enough credit for their hard work. Love this gym and staff!

Omg. The front staff here I think is brain dead. I have been a member of planet fitness since 2020. I'm on automatic deductions. They have made a lot of money off me. And I do not go to the gym like I should. I went to work out with a friend at this location on Tuesday. Which I pay for the black card which gives me the ability to go to any gym anywhere. And I have been to many gyms over the last year. And had no problem entering using my barcode. Well today it came up that I had a $15 late charge from one year ago. Again I have been to planet fitness many times since that. Second I had no idea that there was a late fee. And have no idea why there's a late fee since it's automatically deducted from my account every month. And it's an ACH so it's not even like the credit card was declined. The person behind the counter tried to look it up said she can't get to it. Because my membership started at a different location. I said okay obviously you can see that I'm a member. And obviously you can see that this is from one year ago. And I've been paying every month for the last year. Can I just come in and work out and then I'll go check at my gym and get this taken care of. She refused. I tried to discuss with her she was rude to me she told me I should just pay my bills and then I wouldn't have this problem. And again I will state that I've been a member for the last year that means I've been paying every single month for the last year. And this fee is from a year ago. I just want to go work out and then I'll get it taken care of since she was unable to do it. She continued to be rude and would not let me do that. I have now canceled my entire account and I will never ever go to a planet fitness again. Spent over $200 in the last year and they don't want to let me in for a late charge from a year ago that I wasn't able to wear that I had. Why didn't they stop me from coming in a year ago when the late charge was created.? Why haven't I gotten any notice saying that I have a late charge that needs to be paid before I can go to the gym again.? I was already considering going to a different gym this was the nail in the coffin. I now joined the YMCA which has more equipment has a pool has saunas has a hot tub has classes has a gym. I have not been happy with planet fitness for a while but for the person behind the counter to be this route to somebody who's been a pain member for over 4 years is completely ridiculous.

The location is very convenient. The facility is very clean and comfortable to work out. The staff members are very friendly and helpful as well, thank you!

I hadn't been in a while and the lady at the front (haven't seen her in a while to be honest) made a face and said "wow, you haven't been here in a while". That really threw me off at the time. Also, the treadmills get pretty busy. Generally a good gym over all, but it is a planet fitness at the end of the day.

After taking one class at OTF I didn’t hesitate to sign up. This gym not only pushes me but they have monthly challenges to keep you going. If you are competitive like I am, come challenge yourself 💪🏼

Love it here! I’m so glad I joined as a founding member! Great balance of exercises. Everything is modifiable …. All shapes, sizes, ages. 1 hour is all it takes. Great staff! ☺️

Love this place. The atmosphere is pumped. The instructor for the Saturday, May 27, 2023 7:30am was awesome. Kept the workout alive and pushed us to the finish line.

Love this place! Their mottos “More life” and “You can do hard things” have stuck with me these last few months. I’ve lost 85lb. in five months after giving birth to twins with the help of diet and this gym’s speciality designed workouts. I love the accountability aspect of charging late cancel fees, having a coach to guide me and monitor my floor exercises and the heart rate monitors to show my body reacting to my effort I put in. I’ve tried other gyms and quit many times but finally found something I enjoy going to and it has given me more energy, more confidence and MORE LIFE!

I absolutely love this place everyone so warm and welcoming and always motivating you to push and it’s just a great place to be overall I also love not having to think and make my own workout plans. While, still getting a great workout

So. I started coming here "regularly" over a year ago under the assumption that they had a tanning bed. Thought "ok get my gym on AND get a basic tan for my money. Well after paying and going, I came to realize that the bed didn't work. Disappointing. But I was already going and determined to get healthier. Recently the bed had been fixed and new bulbs. I thought.....GREAT. I get to use the bed I should have been able to use for a whole year. Well. Seems like every other time I go in, there is a girl in there using it as her private office and after lotioning up and preparing ahead of time to go there I am yet again prevented from tanning. Ridiculous. So in addition, the equipment is way out dated and the place is a bit run down ( Although they do seem to be gradually fixing) I think there is definitely room for improvement. They only have ONE paper roll holder to wipe down equipment before and after use, which is out of paper most of the time. Trash cans seem to be always overflowing. And the door unlock for your phone only works half the time. I basically go here for it's location. That, and I don't like the alternatives like planet fitness cause they are crowded and less personal. But idk. I'm thinking I might have to look for other options. So I've waited to give my review a whole year so I could give them a proper knowledged rating. And the result I give is 3 stars. For nice staff and location. I do like both.

This gym is overpriced for the amenities it offers. I knew what I signed up for so my fault there, but cheaper and better options have come to light so I inquired about canceling. This has been difficult considering the gym is rarely staffed during “staffed hours,”and thus I have trouble making contact in person or getting through via the phone. It also seems that after I inquired about cancelling that staff has avoided contact with me all together. Most times staff tells me they were in meetings - but I’m curious what you could be meeting about so frequently to not be in your office or in the building at all. What is the point of staffed hours if you are not there and visible? I played phone tag with the employees who ultimately texted me to tell me how to cancel my membership. I attempted that process and have yet to hear back anything (a 5-7 business day wait period apparently). I attempted to call the general membership line and they conveniently stated their systems are down and to call back later. Since the gym is barely staffed during its “staffed hours” the garbages are constantly overflowing with trash. I could get why after a weekend or holiday weekend, but the gym has been “staffed” for at least 3 hours now and the garbages still look like this. If you want to be at this gym forever, then sign up! If you think you’re gonna move, have an injury, be hard on cash or any other reason to cancel a membership - pick somewhere else.

Make sure they go over the cancellation policy with you. In order to cancel, they want you to move 15 miles away from any anytime fitness location, have a permanent disability, or pay $250 dollars (just in case you want to join again after you cancel!). If not I had to pay $70 monthly until 2026. They didn’t go over any policy of any sort when I was signing up and just told me where to sign. I had to fight with them for 2 months in order to get my membership cancelled and it was a complete nightmare. Go to planet fitness.

Emily has to be my favorite, she is so sweet and helpful. They have excellent service and I can't wait to try their gym!

The community at my gym is amazing. I loved it before the changes were made, but love it more now! I see new faces and am looking forward to meeting new people. The staff is great, most I know from the recent changes. Thank you so much for working with with me while I was injured, but I'm even more encouraged after seeing the changes in my gym today. I'm so glad to get back to the gym (tomorrow) and start recovering from my 6 month healing process!!

Staff and members are so inviting and supportive-I recommend you give it a try. I joined Pure Barre Grand Blanc a year ago. Three words resonant from my membership at PBGB. Strength, balance and flexibility! Strength: I have a stronger community of support, my confidence has increased and my body is stronger. Balance: My work/life balance is no longer lopsided, workouts as well as a community events are offered, and my physical balance is much better. Flexibility: There are many options for class formats, class times and instructors. My workout is flexible based on my body. Accommodations are available. Pure Barre Grand Blanc is such a wonderful place. You get to work out, focus on yourself for 50 min, meet and make new friends, all while being a part of a great community. The instructors are all absolutely awesome and they will work with you if you need to modify your work out. Many different platforms and times to work out and lots of "pop-up" events throughout the year. Highly recommend trying this out for your mental and physical well being!

I'm loving my experience at pure barre! The classes are challenging and everyone has been so friendly. Amanda and all the other instructors are so supportive and encouraging. They make you feel like family there. I spent a lot of time trying to decide what type of fitness class I wanted to join and couldn't be happier that I decided on pure barre grand blanc! It's been the best experience, from the very first phone call (where I probably asked too many questions, but was never made to feel like I was bugging her) to the most recent class I attended, it's been fantastic! I strongly encourage anyone considering a fitness class to take the leap and give them try! You won't regret it!

When I started going to Pure Barre Grand Blanc at the end of 2019 I was just looking for another workout to try. Little did I know what a wonderful, encouraging, uplifting community I would be surrounded by. The workouts are amazing and always challenging. There us a great variety and they change often enough to keep it new. Don't hesitate to try. Hope to see you there!

Huge gym with wide range of fitness equipment including weight machines, free weights, ellipticals, steppers, bikes, treadmills, fitness balls, ketel balls and latest technology in body health analysis, personal trainers available and an onsite medical professional. Very warm, welcoming and friendly. Excellent for beginners and fitness pros. Something for everyone. I love it there! Ask for Scott and Sarah.

Nice place, I enjoy it. Wish others would have consideration for playing music with a speaker. I try to be considerate of others with my music. It can be heard over my music when I have headphones in unless I turn it to almost max volume.

This has to be the crappiest gym ever. Members are rude and nosey especially with females and the owner is completed unhinged.. As well as everything in the gym is broken and never gets fixed. (This includes things like the pad on the bench press literally missing bolts and being loose which is an extreme safety hazard, the punching bag being cut and will most definitely fall from the ceiling onto you as it’s happened to me before, also various cable machines being broke and never maintained with proper lubricant I’ve had one snap on me before which left a huge gash on my leg purely due to the fact it was so dry and old) I was kicked out after 4 years of consistently using my membership and fixing things in the gym on my own time because no one else would for being “too loud while working out” good to know you guys treat your loyal customers like that. Save your time and money with this place you will not have a good experience especially if you run into the owner which you probably never will because in the 4 years I’ve gone I’ve never seen him once until the day he came to kick me out for being “too loud”. (Keep in mind I was working out alone) He threatened my life in the parking lot for virtually no reason as I was calm and willing to have a mature conversation with him the entire time but from the get go he was aggressive and was not willing to act humanly so I ended up driving away and leaving him alone. I would not recommend letting your teenagers around him as he seems to have dangerous anger issues and mental health problems. The fact a 18 year old kid had to calm a 50 year old man down tells you a lot about his personality. This guy should have no ownership in any establishment that is open to teenage kids. Sorry for the inconvenience please do not consider snap fitness grand blanc.

Incredible place. 24/7 access, and the trainers are always willing to answer questions and help people with anything (like weight lifting form). Through using this gym, I have lost almost 30 lbs. I absolutely love this place and would recommend it to everyone. They offer a wide variety of machines, as well as all of the free weights essentials. It's a clean, well kept place. Almost always a good temperature, and they play music overhead if you forget your headphones.
