The Parent & Me swim class on Saturdays is great for my 2 year old AUSOME son Tru. The instructor Mr. Hunter was so patient with him and eased my fears of Tru being in the water.

I had my four year old in the afterschool program. He has ADHD and the program just wasn’t for him unfortunately. Every day I was getting reports of him having loud outbursts or not paying attention not listening or bothering the other children. I feel like they should have had an alternate option for children that do need more one on one attention. It was overstimulating him and I couldn’t take him the reports anymore. As much as I needed him To be watched after school I felt like he was singled out a lot unfortunately just due to the lack of resources for children with his behaviors. I expected more from a YMCA. I will however say the place was class, director was very nice and she’s why I made the choice to take him out because she was honest and said for herself it’s too much going on for him there. It’s hurting him socially more than it was beneficial. The teachers however are teenagers or very new to the field. They need more patience and learn about children with mental disabilities and challenges. I feel like with more experienced care providers or actual teachers and therapist it would have been a great place for him. I’ll try again once he gets older.

We attend the East Orange location for swimming lessons. So far it has been a great experience, the team is really friendly and energetic. My son and I were swimming in no time and my kids love attending. I just wish the premises were a little more up to date.

Wellington was very helpful throughout the process of registering and attending the lifeguard course. I can imagine other young people struggle with understanding the process, similar to my son. Wellington went above and beyond to ensure my son had everything he needed to be successful in the course. My son feels prepared to be a lifeguard this summer with a local camp.

I am genuinely confused. I'm a member and have been for a while. I come here and get done what I need to get done. I don't need to interact with the staff members extensively. It's a quick "in-and-out" experience for me. But tonight, I brought my friend with me, and she was interested in signing up for PF at this location. But first, she wanted to see what kind of equipment they have. A simple tour. Shouldn't be too difficult, right? Nope. You have to register JUST TO LOOK AROUND. Even if they know you're just here for a quick 1-2 minute walk around. I don't need to be reminded that this is protocol. I get it, rules are rules. I just think that this is a very stupid rule. It's very anti-customer and needs to be changed ASAP. Imagine coming here, wanting a warm and welcoming experience, wanting to be treated fairly and taken seriously in the sense that you're a grown person who already deals with a lot of the bull you get thrown at you throughout the day, and all you want to do is have a look around a place you're already expressing interest in joining. And instead of encouraging your enthusiasm and assisting you in your curiosity as a POTENTIAL CUSTOMER, they're like "you have to register first." You have to buy the house before you can even see the rooms. How ridiculous. They really do offer a CHEAP experience, because you could go to any other mainstream gym and the employees know how to speak amicably. They know how to be accommodating. And they know how to smile. But here? You get attitudes, you get employees who are extra, and you get to feel like you're just a number walking through the door rather than a valued customer. It's shameful and y'all need to do better. Why don't I go somewhere else? I shouldn't have to! This is my community gym! But look how they're treating the community 🤦🏾♂️ they don't care about us.

I been waiting for them to go back to 24 hours scheduled or a least closed at 12pm. A lot of people like me get out of work at 10pm and like to go at night time, to be more consistent. But ever since covid they change the scheduled. Really hope they change it this year, or going to have to switch to a different gym.

The Machines they have are pretty good. they keep them wiped down and sanitized... however the rule to wipe all your sweat off is not enforced... also ... please staff... NOBODY should be able to use 3 Machines at one time ..while others stand around and wait.... also KEEP THE FREE WEIGHTS IN THE PROPER PLACE .. thats NOT SAFE.. PUT THEM AWAY .. if I get hurt it's not going to be ok for you guys ..I like the fact that this place is centrally located so its very convenient to get to right after work .. showers are very clean, staff are very friendly.. Just enforce the rules..they are there for a reason. I hope to be able to keep my membership here instead of going to one closer to home this one is closer to work .. I just don't want to stand around waiting for Machines while someone uses more than one at a time.. Its not fair

10/12/24 9:30 “He’s always being rude and racist. They should hire people who don’t have a complex because in the gym, we’re all equal, and we’re there to enjoy ourselves, not to deal with racist attitudes. I love the gym and will continue going despite encountering this type of person.”

The first time at this location and the greeting i received from Nazira and Tyrel was very warm. Nazira was funny and very personable didnt make me feel uncomfortable. I learned Tyrel is a great personal trainer here, and he gave great tips as well. Both were warm and motivational. The gym has plenty of room and extra machines no waiting necessary. If you need assistance w. Anything im sure you can go ask away. Beverages available up front, toiletries offered in restroom. Bathrooms stocked and cleaned. Great music!!! the temperature in the place was good, not too cold, and not too humid. I will definitely be returning and sharing this location with friends.

I go here as a guest with my friend to meet with her trainer Donna. Donna is great and I highly recommend her. The facility is nice and clean. Well stocked with equipment and is surprisingly large. I wouldn't join only cause it is pretty far from my house.

Leaving this review SOLELY on customer service. The Club Manager Dayshawn (my apologies if I misspelled your name sir) was extremely helpful, courteous, and ultimately found the solution to my membership issue. Most importantly, he had the most pleasant tone and doubled down to solve the problem rather than passing me off. Thanks again man!

Very disappointed in this location, I recently went to this gym with a guest and was denied access because he was wearing closed off Yeezys with socks. I was told by Jocelyn that he needed to wear sneakers to enter the gym floor. I still wanted to honor her request by letting her know my guest was not going to workout. As she was speaking a man walked in with sandals and socks and when I questioned why she did not ask him the same question, she stated she knew him. She showed me the set of rules posted on the wall stating workout attire should be worn. The rule does not specifically stated sneakers. I would like blink to really educate their workers on what workout attires entails. There are many workouts that do not allow sneakers for example Pilates, yoga and the list goes on and the person who was actually going to workout was wearing sneakers. The worst part about this was we had to go to a different location that was inconvenient for us just to be allowed in without anyone ever questioned anything about our attire! If this is a blink fitness rule it should be apply to every location. I believe this was Jocelyn opinion which I’ve stated to her and those whom she called to assist me even though I did not request to be speaking to anybody else. Jocelyn as a manager you should be able to handle your job not send it to the next person because you are unqualified for the position! I have reported this incident to blink fitness. Jocelyn should focus on her job instead of flirting with a police officer at the desk. If you wanted to show off authority to your little cop friend you could have done it elsewhere instead of harassing customers.

If it weren’t for the manager, I forget her name, tall dark skin sweet girl, I’d give 1 star!!! I’ve held off on doing a review because she’s so kind and really tries to resolve issues but the staff there is absolutely RUDE and INCONSIDERATE. Kiandra- girl was at the front desk was unnecessarily rude and condescending when I was inquiring about my membership. Walked off in the middle of my question and went to get the manager. Her attitude was disgusting even when her manage was speaking to her One of the trainers-had locked hair and where’s a full ski mask is BEYOND RUDE EVERY TIME we cross paths. He hogs gym equipment, turns the music up EXTREMELY loud even when there’s no class in the shared room making it hard for ppl working out together to hear one another. He was also rude to the manger when she asked him to turn it down a bit. Whew I’ll stop here but if it wasn’t for the location and super nice manger I’d NEVER RECOMMEND this location to anyone!!!
