The culture in this gym regarding re-racking weights is ridiculous. I haven’t seen this much lack of respect for reacting weights and putting dumbbells back in their proper place in years. *Ample free parking

Good clean gym but there is a problem in the weight rack section. Because they take the weight and don't return it. It is so selfish. Employees should control it.

PROS: swimming pool, tons of natural light, open second floor, not crowded, friendly staff. CONS: short variety of body machines compared to other gyms, less cool people compared to other gyms, same price than other gyms, less motivating

Really annoying how you have to give your ID to get certain equipment around the gym instead of the equipment being readily available on the floor. Also today my barcode through the app scanned red but they never alerted me, they allowed me to go inside to then make a scene / point by kicking me out and mentioned I wouldn’t be allowed back in until I provided a ID. Came back then she mentions that the photo scanned on my QR code doesn’t look like me and that someone on their team must’ve accidentally changed it. But why am I reprimanded for their employees mistakes is beyond me. Horrible customer service and machines that get broken take up 2 months minimum to get fixed just FYI about this location.

My 5 star rating is not for the La Fitness establishment, but for the young man in sales who works there - Mr. Victor Campa. I'm new to the area and was looking at several different gyms within a certain radius. At some of the other locations, the sales reps came across a little too pushy. One even reminded me of a used car salesman trying to shake me down. That just pushed me away. But I didn't have that problem with Victor Campa at LA Fitness. Victor was kind and treated me with respect. But more importantly, Victor is a straight shooter. I had a lot of questions, and Victor answered them all truthfully, honestly, and never once lost his cool. He's a true professional. If anyone is considering signing up with LA Fitness, be sure to ask for Victor.

This use to be a great gym. Now alot of the machines don't work. The entire building is nasty! The women's locker room has not been cleaned in forever. The floor is dirty. The showers are dirty. The sinks are dirty and nasty. The locker room and pool area still has ants. The ants started during the summer last year and are still there. They need a new custodial team to clean the entire gym since it's not open 24hrs there is no excuse.

This is a star operation at best. 1) It is not open 24 hours——let’s change the name; 2) it never seems to open on time for the hours it is open. The several times I’ve arrived at 5am ( when the “24 hour” gym opens), I’ve had to wait 15 minutes for some to open the building. The showers are disgusting and the facility is mediocre. Invest in a remodel, add modern equipment and open on time. Not to much to ask give the ever increasing rise in membership costs.

I have seen cockroach 2time in the shower so far. Very dirty shower room. I get it they don't want to spend money for cleaning staff. But it's 6:30am in the morning but gym is still not opening. Everyone is waiting outside. Many people already left.

Disgusting shower room .Completely unsanitary and looks like staph infection central. Cockroaches throughout facilty. Was thinking of signing up until I saw the condition of the shower room and complete lack of sanitation. Absolutely terrible and obviously they don't care about the members well being . Stay far away from this facility.

I recently joined this gym, and I couldn't be more impressed. The facilities are really clean and well-maintained, and the equipment is top-notch. I really appreciate the manager Josh going so above and beyond for his members, and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable! There’s always someone available to answer questions or provide guidance. The atmosphere in the gym is motivating and energizing, and I always leave with a smile on my face . If you're looking for a great gym with a clean and fantastic environment, this is definitely the place for you!

I used to like planet fitness until I an awful experience with the manager and employees! They were very unprofessional, and they should be fired! Anyway, I switched to Crunch Fitness Cerritos, and they are all professional and courteous! I really love their Zuma, body sculpting, yoga, and cardio tie classes! Crunch Fitness offers so much more & you should check them out! Ever since I changed to Crunch, I've been getting so many complaints about my weight loss! Huge difference, so go check out Crunch Fitness!

They recently got a lot of new equipment, which is great, but they also removed some stuff for reasons I'm a little confused by if I'm being honest. There's now only one leg curl and extension machine each, no military press machine or a lateral raise machine, and the new smith machines also feel like a bit of a downgrade. I also haven't seen the abductor/adductor machines yet, but I may have just missed those and I haven't done those exercises in a bit so those might still be there. On the smith machines, I do like that the bar seems a bit heavier now and actually tells you how much it weighs on its own now. This makes it a lot easier to know how much I am benching or squatting, etc. On the other hand, it feels worse on the initial lift when trying to remove the new hook so that you can lower the bar during the exercise itself. For example when benching, I find that I don't want to lift as heavy as I normally can when pushing myself because it's harder on my wrists to lift, rotate, and unhook the bar to begin my set. I'm not sure if it needs to be oiled or something, but it's just very uncomfortable to do. The gyms still pretty good though overall, people give PF a bad wrap but this ones really close to me and I've been able to pretty much get done what I'd do at other gyms here.

This location is chill.. however, I've been here at least 4-5 times where there is literally puke in one of the sinks or stalls in the men's lockers/restroom. Lotsa folks at this location just chilling on their phones at equipment stations, it's weird. Whoever you folks are taking too much protein & pre-workout to the point it makes you puke.. you need help! 😅🤮

The best place with a large swimming pool, they have several lanes and the pool will be pack with full of kid's classes. Getting into the class is not so easy, you will never get the slot you want but it's worth to give try. They also have Cerrito's aquatic club here, which trains kids for golf and swimming for competition.

Been swimming there for years and it needs some upgrade but is ok. Chorine seems to be strong at times because I learned that it reacts to a lot of undesirable stuff coming from people swimming specially when it is busy

Yes, It might need a little work, but it’s an awesome place. The hours are fantastic in the water. I have to say sometimes a little cold but nothing you can’t bear.💕💕💕💕

Ive been coming here for over 20 years. I learned how to swim here when i was just a little kid. Now my son is learning his swimming here as well. Big facility, friendly staff, only complaint is that the boys locker area gets pretty dirty. Theres un flushed toilets and floating logs regularly in some toilets. This place is bustling. Swim lessons, free swim, divers, parents. Its a cool atmosphere.

The pool is great. Wish they would extend the recreation swimming to allow youth to practice slap swimming.

I just became a member here. Actually, I don't like working out. I chose this place with many classes at my husband's recommendation. I was so happy after attending two classes. However, they said they would check my InBody and do a consultation for free, so I made an appointment and met a trainer. I was so tired of hearing the same thing over and over again that I didn't want to receive personal training. One trainer even asked me “why are you coming?” I was so shocked. So I asked how I could say that. They kept recommending me to receive personal training. It was so uncomfortable. Isn't personal training something that you can do if you want it? Why are you doing this? I was so uncomfortable and upset. It didn't even take 20 minutes for my feelings about liking this place to change to something uncomfortable. Because of you! Stop forcing anyone to receive personal training from now on.

despite fulfilling the requirements by bringing in two new members, I have been informed by various staff members that the process is still being delayed. I was initially told that there would be no issue with honoring the promotion, but unfortunately, the situation has now reached a point where it feels as though I have been misled. To date, I have yet to receive any formal acknowledgment or compensation for the promotion, and the issue has been repeatedly postponed with vague responses. As a loyal member who has enjoyed my experience at the gym and actively recommended it to others, I am disappointed by the lack of clarity and follow-through regarding this matter. It is now nearing the one-year mark, and I kindly request that the situation be addressed promptly. Could you please provide a clear timeline for when I can expect the promotion to be honored, or let me know if any additional steps are needed from my side to facilitate the process? Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I look forward to your prompt response and a satisfactory resolution. I sent this email to manager on Nov 5 And now I have been waiting for a month. There are no response and resolution at all. I think it is perfectly "Fraudulent Event". I WILL NEVER STOP. You guys are playing with your member?? I want to say I bring 2more than people before though. I would not count it. Because you guys don't want to give anything for my authentic support. 1/17/2024 I asked how is it going? Because I keep paying for the gym. And they answered. " I turned n the referral credits and this is what I was told. For the full 1 year of credit your referrals had to have signed up within the same month 🙁" BUT every manager said that I should bring people in quarter. He said it should be in one month now. Who can say it is not a fraud??? It is been a year and I make 4 of my friend registered. And I never get 1month credit either lol. It is really funny.

I absolutely love the Cerritos location, it’s always such a vibe and by far the cleanest location I’ve been to. The equipment is amazing and they have a bunch of attachments and equipment that you can check out at the front desk. Wouldn’t trade my membership for any other commercial gym. I will say though, sometimes there are really disgusting people who are not embarrassed/ashamed of smearing their feces on the gym shower curtains! But I’ve seen this kind of behavior before at other gyms and their staff is really good at taking care of those kinds of things. Shout out to the employees for putting up with them.

I love the yoga instructor & her pace with the movements, making it convenient for all levels in her class. In addition, I’ve been pleased with Gold’s gym for several reasons: closeness & availability to my home and work life, the staff from front desk to the managers to the trainers… they have all been approachable, friendly, helpful & expressed professionalism towards me. The gym is popular no doubt! Depending on the day and time you go, the entire gym is packed and can be challenging to get on any machine. So far no gym intimidation! 😎

Scam Alert – Exploring Legal Action! I signed up for Gold’s Gym after being told by staff about the 5-day cancellation policy, which states that if you cancel within the first 5 days, you won’t be charged. I canceled within the timeframe, yet I was still charged. When I reached out to the manager, he assured me multiple times that I wouldn’t be charged. A week later, the charge appeared anyway. When I called again, he told me a refund would be processed by Tuesday—it’s now Thursday, and still no refund. 6 phone calls and 2 emails later, he’s dodging my calls instead of fixing the issue. Maybe he is waiting for the next charge which is the annual membership charge. At this point, I’m exploring legal options because this is outright dishonest business practice. If they can’t even honor their own written policy, how can anyone trust them with long-term memberships? If you’re considering signing up, think twice. A gym that has to resort to shady tactics and false promises just to take your money isn’t worth it. Still waiting for my refund… I’ll update if they actually do the right thing.
