My new favorite gym in Richmond. I attended another “powerlifting” gym for a while where things were happening that I didn’t agree with and everyone talked about each other, etc. this gym has the family feel and everyone has been so nice to me. It’s always so clean and the staff are so friendly. Also so convenient to be able to get a shake after your lift.

The RAC is an awesome gym! The staff and owners are friendly and welcoming. They truly make you feel valued and sincerely want to get to know their members. The facility is always clean and equipment is well maintained. I love that they have a prayer request box...just another way they show their members how much they care about them. Thank you, April and JR, for all the love, energy, and care you put into creating a positive and safe workout environment for Richmond.

Friendly, helpful staff, laid back atmosphere that is good for both competitors and those who want to be healthier. Great protein shakes, and awesome fitness classes. This gym is my favorite place to workout in Richmond. The equipment is always working and I love seeing the results from lifting weights, doing cardio, and participating in some of the fitness classes here. Also, childcare is included in your membership and the gym has great hours! I highly recommend!

This place is my new home Gym. My brother and i have been members for about a year. Absolutely Love the owners . They have Tons of free weights for powerlifting, and a strong room which has 3 dealift platforms, a comp bench, a regular bench, a mono dealift machine, and a regular dealift rack, And evry menber is welcome and has full access to everything.And this is just the start. You have to check out the main floor with absolutely a plethora of machines, dumbells and yes, more free weights. Proud to call the RAC. MY HOME

Someone please tell me why I’m getting a billing statement in mail after my 6 month contract expired on 01 March 2023, and I haven’t visited since. Someone needs to fix it. I’m not available to come in and sign any paperwork, I have more important things to take care of.

Highly recommend!! If you are looking for a chill atmosphere and good energy this is the place! Great gym for the community and is a welcoming place for all! (Kids, teenagers and adults!) Landon (the owner) does an amazing job at couching and fitness training! I have never felt more comfortable in a gym environment. If I could rate more stars I would!!

I joined MC Powerhouse with the aspirations of building muscle and competing in powerlifting. After trying many kinds of fitness models, I’ve enjoyed the old school vibe here. Landon does a great job programming with a Westside Barbell conjugate style to add strength and performance. My first sanctioned meet after being a member of MC Powerhouse, I hit personal records on squat, bench, and deadlift, and hit a state record for my weight class and division on bench press. Great community and strength gains without the frills!

The best place to workout! Coming here every morning is one of my favorite things of the day. Excellent workouts, childcare/child friendly, welcoming atmosphere. They cheer you on and encourage you throughout the whole workout. The trainers show you how to do everything and if you forget you can just walk up and ask them and they’ll show you again! I haven’t worked out in years and I’m so glad that I started here instead of another gym where I have to figure everything out myself.

When I first came to Edge I wasn’t sure. I was use to your basic gym with classes. Edge is more than that tho. As you continue to go to the bootcamp style classes, you see the same faces and those faces become your friends and encouragers. Those hard classes are done with those friends, who make you laugh, because we are all struggling together. But, we always finish and come back wanting more. I love the extra push I get there, especially the extra challenge programs they have. Those challenges pushed me to work harder, gain strength/stamina, and lose 25 lbs. So, thank you Edge and all the Trainers who make all the classes and pushes us to do better! And of course making it fun!

I’ve been going to Edge for about 2 months now. My wife has gone for several years, but I never felt like it was for me. I don’t typically like working out, especially at a gym, but I’ve really enjoyed it at Edge. I like that I don’t have to walk in and look at a bunch of machines that I don’t know how to use and figure out a workout on my own. The workouts are different every day, so I don’t get bored of doing the same thing. The HIIT style workouts are always challenging, but not impossible (exercises can always be modified if needed). There are 4 different trainers and they’ve all been great. The thing I’ve liked the most is the community of people and individual friendships I’ve made. I’d definitely recommend Edge if you want to get in better shape, be healthier all around and workout with a community of people who will encourage and support you.

Back in October 2023, I reached a point in my life where I was in constant pain, heavier, and more unhealthy than I had been in years. I was lacking in energy, strength, and my mental state had gone through some serious deterioration. It was at this point I made the decision to change my life. Working with a health team, and a surgery later, I had gotten to the point in early May of 2024 where I knew the next step was to start exercising again. It was at this time, I saw an ad for a local business called Transcend Training. They said, "Come in for a free consultation, we are looking for people who want to change their lives." I figured it could not hurt to give this shot, and at the very least, I could see what was possible. My appointment with Peyton lasted about an hour, and I told her my story. She listened intently and actively, asking questions, and you could see a plan forming in her mind. It was such a positive experience. I got my clearance to begin physical activity and had my first session in mid-May. Now, I have said all of this to say the following: Transcend Training has completely transformed and continues to transform my journey to better health! The personal trainers are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, tailoring workouts to my specific needs and goals. The atmosphere is welcoming and motivating, making it easy to stay consistent and you absolutely cannot walk-in without a smile forming and having a good time while working out. The energy in this place is palpably positive in the best way. I said recently, "I never thought I would actually look forward to exercising and WANT to come in and workout." More often than not, my sessions with Peyton at Transcend Training are exactly what I need and the progress has been evident. I've seen significant improvements in my strength, endurance, and overall well-being. There really are not enough words for me to recommend this place and its people as much as they deserve! If you are serious about wanting to get stronger, healthier, and happier, get in here and get on it! You will be glad you did! Whether it be personal training, team training, or stretch therapy, they can pretty well do it all!

Was I scared to start? YES! Was it worth the free consultation? ABSOLUTELY! In having issues with inflammation and wanting to start with bare bones and work my way up to working out, I couldn’t have asked for better support. The atmosphere when entering the gym isn’t like entering “another gym”. It doesn’t smell like a gym, give off the vibe of only certain people can workout here, it is an environment that everyone is welcome here vibe. Each week I look forward to the support, accountability, and goals that I set with Tanya. She is honest, open and supportive 110%. It’s the best motivation in a serious and upbeat environment. In the short time I have been going, I feel I have become part of a family and not just a number. The atmosphere is friendly, and most are willing to share where they started. They admit that the struggle is real, but to keep coming and listen to what Tanya is saying. They truly meet you where you are and want you to be the best you can be. I have been going to Transcend for almost 3 years. I am very happy with my results. My strength has increased steadily through my workouts with Tanya. I have also recently started Stretch Therapy with Chris. I saw immediate results with my mobility. My job requires me to get into and out of cars and walk a lot with 25-30 pounds of equipment. After the first week I noticed I was more comfortable moving around.
