Another meathead gym. Basically a place for people who are serious about working out. Lots of bodybuilding champions are here along with aspiring champions and those who want to be more than average. I didn't know that Houston has such a vibrant bodybuilding community!

I went for the first time at 8 in the morning. Good equipment, staff seemed friendly. The issue I had was the music. They were playing hardcore gangster rap, cussing and all at full blast. Like concert level loud. To say that was jarring when you are half asleep at 8am is an under statement. I asked the front desk about it and they said they didn't know how to work the sound system. I saw almost every other guest wearing noise cancelling headphones so I doubt I'm the only one who hated the music situation. I have standard earbuds which I will try next time but I doubt it will drown it out. It's looking like my first month might also be my last as I ain't going to be walking into this every morning.

The new location is LIT!! There is plenty of space, machines, personal trainers, pool table, daycare, etc. to become a better you! Hands down, one of the best gyms in Katy!! Highly Recommended if you're serious about your health and longevity!

I switched from Alphaland to Species and I do not regret anything about my decision. I pretty much love everything about this gym. Everyone is very kind and welcoming. The ambience is incredible as mostly everyone there is pretty serious about their lifts and when they’re not, they’re having fun. No cameras being shoved in your face and there’s not a plethora of tripods you’re having to watch out for. I feel like I can actually be part of a helpful gym community here. It does get hot in there but it makes the workouts better as you’re not having to wait to warm up. Overall, no complaints here.

Looking forward to have a great workout session. While the gym doesn’t have the luxury type of equipments but the energy and those old fashioned equipments will keep you up to speed.
