HOTWORX - College Station, TX - South

I recently had a very frustrating experience with HOTWORX and I would not recommend signing up for a membership. Once they have your card on file, it seems impossible to cancel. They charged me for random amounts with no explanation and claimed to have no record of anything. I even went in person with my roommate, who is on a family plan with me, to sign up and later to cancel, but they allegedly have no records of us signing to cancel or us being on a plan together. The lady on the phone was nice, but I felt like I was just running in circles trying to cancel this membership. Very aggravating and frustrating experience. Avoid if you don't plan on keeping the membership forever.

I talked with someone to cancel my membership since I am no longer living in College Station. I was told that the manager had to handle this and they would give me a call. I have not heard back from them after being given an email and told to send a written request of cancellation. I have not heard from them, I am still being charged for a membership I cannot physically even use because I don’t live here!! I do not suggest signing up for a membership here as they will continue to charge you and take your money even though you have requested to cancel.

Absolutely TERRIBLE!! Paid the $99 effective immediately cancellation fee 4 months ago and have been getting charged ever since. Went last month and complained enough for to find out they literally cancelled THE WRONG PERSON!!! What?? It took me several weeks to finally get my money back through a check in the mail. Here I am, the first of the month and got charged yet AGAIN!!!! This place literally sucks, do not ever give them a dime of your money.

Make sure they actually cancel your membership when you ask. I went in person and canceled it like they request you do, signed a form, and they told me the manager would process it and it would be cancelled. Was charged this month, so I called them to verify my membership is cancelled and they said they had no record of me canceling. When I did cancel, they never even told me about the $99 cancel effective immediately or else I would’ve done that. I moved 3 hours away and they still tried to get me to come to College Station and cancel it in person. Even when it was their fault and I already did? After I said no, they said they would work with me and I could do it online, which I still had to pay an immediate cancellation fee. Beware!!!

HOTWORX…. My home away from home! Loved meeting the owner and a welcoming atmosphere. This gym is very clean, spacious and in a great location. Be prepared to leave drenched in sweat and closer to your goals!
