As a personal trainer myself, I wanted to go to a gym that had more serious equipment. This gym is exactly what I needed. All of the equipment is well maintained, the people are friendly, and the owner is legit. He told me he hand selected his equipment and it shows. I usually go later around 8 pm when I'm done work (after a long exhausting day of PT). Just the environment alone gives me the boost of energy that I need, even on days when I'm basically running on empty. I highly recommend 💯

After leaving my job in law enforcement to relocate for my wife's new job, I found Back to Basics. I had tried Golds, Planet Fitness, and even my wife's CrossFit gym, none of which suited my style. Jason is very knowledgable, the gym is clean with great quality equipment, and everyone is friendly and personable. I would recommend the gym to anyone, and if you're looking for personal training, I would say that Jason is your guy.

Hands down the best facility in the area. If you’re interested in keeping your head down, working hard, and being pushed to be better, this is the place. It’s a privately owned small business that genuinely wants to create an environment where people who want to train hard can do just that. Jason (the owner) is an awesome, humble guy who and has created a great facility. 6/5

Back to Basics is hands down best gym in the area! When I moved to PA, I tried so hard to find a local gym that felt comfortable to workout in, had equipment I could challenge myself with, and wasn't overcrowded. Back to Basics was the perfect fit. Here, I never have to wait to use the machines I want or have trouble signing up for their classes (which are awesome and have a nice amount of variety). Along with every traditional piece of equipment you want, they also have a great open space with racks for olympic lifting, sleds, tires,weighted vests etc. for conditioning work ,and even foam rollers and bands for active recovery. Lastly, if you want real results -- you have to try their personal training program. I have trained with the owner Jay who goes above and beyond to make his clients achieve their goals and his expertise in bodybuilding and personal training speaks for itself. His programs and nutritional guidance were made custom to my goals and I couldn't be happier with the quality of my sessions each week. Couldn't recommend it enough!
