Carmen has been extremely helpful for me. I am a pitcher in the Pittsburgh Pirates organization and just finished up my 3rd full season in professional baseball. I have been working with Carmen this off-season to get ready for another demanding baseball season. Keeping my arm healthy and strong for the upcoming season is essential. Carmen has to put together an arm care program that is specific to me. For example, we have been working hard to increase strength and flexibly in my shoulder for overall injury prevention and arm health. Carmen has been very thorough in explaining my exercises and techniques to do so. I would highly recommend athletes in the Pittsburgh area, especially fellow pitchers, who are serious about their performance and staying healthy!

Dr. Carmen is unbelievable! He takes great care of his clients and knows how to target and care for specific discomforts catered to each individual he works with. As a sophomore college baseball player in Pittsburgh, I already know he’s going to be my new go-to physical therapist! Thank you!

I met Dr. Carmen through my trainer after experiencing limiting shoulder pain during lifting and playing competitive racket sports. He immediately assessed and identified my shoulder instability issues and we went to work on strengthening and stabilizing using effective exercises, stretches and other techniques. Not only was Dr. Carmen clear and thorough in explaining what we were trying to accomplish and how to do that, he armed me with the knowledge of how to continue to do those things on my own as preventative shoulder maintenance. I'm happy to say that after only a few sessions with Dr. Carmen, I'm back to lifting and playing pickleball and platform tennis pain free and now include the shoulder strengthening and stability exercises he taught me in my daily mobility routine. I highly recommend Dr. Carmen if you're looking to get back to playing your sport or just feeling good as soon as possible after experiencing an injury or even unexplained pain. His professionalism, expertise and attention to detail are sure to make anyone feel comfortable with the decision to seek out physical therapy.

I am in my sophomore year as a Baseball player at CCAC. I started seeing Dr. Carmen in February of 2024 so about 8 months now and when I first started with him I had been having severe throwing pain in my shoulder off and on for almost 2 years. I started seeing Dr. Carmen and within a month he had me back to throwing pain free consistently. Not only did he fix my throwing pain but he has educated me on multiple ways to prevent the pain from being a problem in the future. I recommend him to any baseball player in the area Pittsburgh area.

Sia and I got introduced to Dr. Carmen from Sia’s trainers. She was scheduled to get shoulder surgery and did a visit with Dr. Carmen for a second opinion. After the consult and Dr. Carmen doing some work on Sia’s shoulder she could lift her arm higher than should could on a long time. Seeing her face and how happy she was, was an awesome feeling. Sia decided to cancel the surgery and work with Dr. Carmen. Sia is a softball player and Dr. Carmen assisted in getting her back to being pain-free. The work and the progress Dr. Carmen has done for my daughter and still continues is amazing. She is loving softball, she is hitting and throwing with barely any pain and at times no pain. Now you do have to put in the work as well. Although without Dr. Carmen Sia still would be healing from shoulder surgery and not really knowing her future. So yes, I would definitely recommend Dr. Carmen
