Just like Janelle, I tried to cancel my membership over a year ago! Thought I had. Unknowingly, I was continued to be drafted for over a year. (I know, I should’ve checked my bank account.) In the process of moving banks, I receive a text message from Denice, asking to “take care of my unpaid monthly membership”. I was like, “WTH is she talking about?” By chatting with her via text, because I was working, she tells me it was never cancelled. But I could cancel after I pay another months membership?! They had already collected 12 or more payments from me already! I asked her to cancel it immediately, and she refused, sending me a cancellation form instead, saying it was “required”. I noticed on the said form it says for cancellation/ freeze. Funnily enough, I froze my account back in 2019/2020 for shoulder surgery without filling out ANY paperwork. As I was checking my email a few days later, I notice I have an email from RockBox with an invoice. Not only did she NOT CANCEL my membership, she drafted my account for the membership fee, and added an invoice fee for $20 as well. I would not recommend a membership here, unless you plan on never cancelling. The trainers are great, but not worth the hassle if you plan to leave.

This is by far the BEST place to get and stay in shape. The RockBox concept is absolutely incredible. Is a great environment to go through an intense workout while having fun doing it. All the trainers and managers are freaking AWESOME! Tommy, Ally, Sarah, Fernando, Aaron and Jay. What a crew! THAN YOU!

I have been doing RockBox for over 6 years. I am in my 60's and in much better shape than I was decades earlier. RockBox fitness experts will push you to get more cardio fit than you have ever been. Yet they will take time to work with you Individually and modify their exercises to suit you. They will also assist you get your diet headed in the right direction. It is my favorite workout place that I have ever done. Try I am sure you will like and think of it as one of the best decisions you have ever made. See you there.

The 1 star review is for the gym manager, Sarah Wilson. I went to the gym to inform them that I would like to cancel my membership due to work travel and moving out the area, as it did not make sense to continue the membership. I was informed by a staff member that the gym manager needs to cancel the membership and he gave me her business card stating that I can email, call or text her. I emailed her on 1/10/24 to notify her of the cancellation and even stated per my contract, I need to inform in writing at least 30 days in advance of the next billing cycle (15th of the month for me) so I figured it would be done and I would not owe for February. No response. So I texted her on 1/12/24 reiterating my cancellation and even informed her that I emailed her about cancelling the membership. No response. So now I’m getting notices about a past due amount of $358….I did my due diligence and followed the instructions as outlined in the contract on what to do about canceling membership. Why is it so hard to cancel your membership here? And why is the gym manager not responsive when I have reached out in writing? No one answers the phone so that’s pointless. I refuse to believe a cancellation fee is $358, so where is this amount coming from? No one responds to anything so how will I get any answers? Sarah needs to work on her customer service and respond to customers, not a good look. Despite that issue THE TRAINERS ARE AMAZING AND DESERVE A RAISE AND GET FIVE STARS FROM ME!! Just beware when you sign up that there will be issues if you cancel membership.

Supportive, friendly, clean, and challenging. That's what to expect when you walk through the doors at RockBox Fitness Huntersville. All of the coaches are dedicated and do a great job motivating you and making personalized recommendations that you just can't get at an open gym like Planet Fitness or other large chain gyms. RockBox is like a big family for me the last 6 years.... People helping people reach goals and stay fit. This was a lifestyle-changing decision and well worth every penny and minute!
