Complete disappointment. The gym machines are old and worn down. It's nearly impossible to find a single weight resistance machine that works well, and the seats aren't adjustable. The bar tools are often missing. The only reason I haven't canceled my membership is the sauna room, but it's been closed for a week already, and the staff has no idea when it will be back in service. When I tried to contact the branch manager, I was told she works from 9 am to 6 pm, but the person on the floor told me a month ago that they were working on replacing the broken machines, and nothing has changed. In fact, more machines break every time I visit the club. It feels like they don't care about maintaining the club at all – they don't even change the batteries for the wall clocks or set the correct time. I'm considering going back to Blink. Their machines were all upgraded and well-maintained. It's worth the membership fees and more time-efficient for me.

Everyone here needs to be fired. I have never seen a more poorly maintained gym. Doors are hanging off the lockers and have been for years. The water bottle filling station NEVER works because no one can be bothered to change a filter. The place is filthy. The showers are covered in grime and mildew. The sauna smells nasty. I come back here every month or so thinking that maybe they got a new manager and things would be better, but it never is. So I keep driving to a different, better-run location that is farther from my home.

Best gym in Westchester. Very convenient location, near to the Bronx also. Spacious , clean. Very Friendly staff. Activities. Love it. Highly recommended.

Great gym! LA Fitness has everything I need to stay in shape. The equipment is well-maintained, and the facilities are always clean. I really enjoy the variety of group classes they offer, especially spinning and yoga. The staff is super friendly and always ready to help. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and professional place to work out!

*** 12/21/24 update—- it’s INSANE how they comment on the “positive” reviews but do not even acknowledge any constructive feedback given. These 5 star views are clearly paid or incentivized. my note to everyone considering this gym— filter by 1 star reviews and go from there. Management doesn’t address any concerns. I would leave negative stars if I could I started coming to this gym about a year ago, I can confidently say it’s not worth the price you pay. Luckily I have gym pass and in the past, active and fit, so I can go to whatever gym I please, this one just happens to be very convenient for me. That being said, I’ve been to many LA fitnesses and City Sports Clubs, and this one in Yonkers is unfortunately falls far behind the others. I can say about 60% of the gym goers have ZERO gym etiquette. They lack basic common knowledge to put their weights away and clean their equipment. And it’s the same bunch of people who do it each and every time. The worst is when they come in groups. The LA fitness in the Bronx has better clientele than this location. That says a lot about how you’d expect this gym to be. None of the dumbbells are in order, many are just scattered throughout the gym, sometimes in the Zumba class room, etc, because once again, the people that come here have ZERO basic gym etiquette. It’s so bad that the employees have to use a shopping cart to go around the gym to pick up the weights left behind and return them to the rack. This gym has ONE set of 15lb dumbbells, they are always missing or hidden throughout the gym. Same goes for bars, handles, and ropes. I started brining my own handles because the ones they have are nowhere to be found. And if you do find them, it’s gross , old and really should be in the trash. There’s not enough bars for the benches, which gets frustrating during peak hours. The facility itself is aging, the gym is only 10 years old I believe but has no significant improvements since they’ve opened. The men’s bathroom has about 18 sinks, of those, only half of those work, and the ones that don’t work are the only ones with soap. Paper towels are also hard to find at times. The men’s locker room has many lockers without a door. There’s a handful of equipment that are “ scheduled for service“ and has been for months. Some don’t have signs, so you only realize when you start the workout. Unlike other LA fitnesses, this one does not have racquetball courts. There used to be a basketball court, but now that is turned into a private training room. Which to me wasn’t a good place to put it considering how underutilized the upstairs portion of the gym is. The employees at this gym are very nice, and have always been helpful. Although, one time I came 30 min prior to closing and they allow me to enter. I just needed 20 min of cardio after coming from work. This is not specified in my the contract/waiver I signed, unless I’m not looking in the right place. The cafe is great. the two girls make the drinks very well. The others i don’t feel the same, drinks are never made the same and they seem annoyed when you ask them for a drink. Overall, if you’re considering this gym, it’s a great location, and OK facility. But please note the clientele at this gym really make it an unpleasant experience. Compared to the other gyms in the area, this one is huge and lots of equipment. But blink fitness has a better clientele than this specific location. To management at this gym, please enforce some rules. NYSC does it so I’m not sure why you can’t. Do better. I don’t expect you to acknowledge this review. 🙃 it’s also interesting that they respond to all the “good” reviews and don’t say a single thing to the people who leave constructive feedback.
