Powerhouse Gym Long Island City

This gym is easily my #1 choice as a home base, thanks to the outstanding management. Debbie welcomed me into the club with open arms, and her genuine thoughtfulness and kindness make all the difference. She truly cares about the members, ensuring everyone is well-supported and comfortable. The level of maintenance she upholds is remarkable. Everything is always in top shape, clean, sanitized, and well cared for. It’s amazing to have such a fantastic gym just blocks away from home!

Love this gym! The gym can be a pretty intimidating place for a woman, but Debbie and Coach Derrick have always made me feel safe and welcome. The facility is well kept with a great variety of equipment. I’ve tried other commercial gyms before, but this is the kind of place that feels like home to me! I find other gyms to be way too packed and chaotic, unless you go at very specific times. While it can get busy during peak hours, it’s never too crazy and I find it to be much more peaceful and organized than other gyms. Aside from it being a great facility, I come to PH specifically for Coach Derrick. We have been working together for two years and he completely changed my life. He leveled up my overall fitness performance, introduced me to the sport of bodybuilding, and got me in the best shape I’ve ever been in. I continue to come back to PH to train with him because I couldn’t imagine my life without it and I recommend all my friends to come train with him at the gym as well.

I've been a member here for almost 2 years, and it is nothing short of amazing. At the start of my membership they said they were getting a pendulum squat machine which is mythical in its own regard, and more surprising is that they actually followed through. The gym is clean, people are courteous, and issues are taken care of in a timely manner. It says a lot when Debbie, the owner, is always seen reorganizing stray equipment and putting things back in their rightful place.

Hands down one of the best gyms I have been to in awhile now. Best equipment and available selection I have ever seen and all in perfect working order. A gym where gym etiquette still exists, spotless and clean, friendly environment, specialty equipment and machines that you won’t find in most commercial gyms. Owner is awesome and very welcoming, knows how to run a gym. This is a true gem.

Gotta be one of the best gyms in the entirety of NYC, one of the few that retains an old school golden era vibe. The customer service here is also just top notch, Debra is just awesome. 10/10
