Crunch Fitness - Rochdale

If you have active and fit direct beware they will up charge you for basic gym amenities. They also lack training on signing members up with active and fit direct. The first day I came the "computer was broke", the young man was nice enough to let me use the gym for free the first time. I came back a second time. The young lady at front desk accused me of signing up for the wrong gym. I had active and fit for 4 years I'm fully aware of the process in which I tried to explain to her. I asked her to call her manager, not sure why SHE didn't call her manager as she clearly needed assistance. The manager was nice and knew how to do her job but being blatantly lied on as a customer is ridiculous and ghetto . I came here to work out , I don't need to waste my time walking in that mall and up the stairs to not know what gym I'm paying for like be for-real. Employees should be trained on how to sign up ALL MEMBERS. Never had this issue elsewhere. Place is really clean for the most part but showers are small and the water is cold as hell. Manager said she doesn't use the showers , well I'm paying for that. It should absolutely be hot water coming out the shower. The customer service is okay if you aren't a member of the community. The regulars get treated very well. If you're new , ehhh. Location is not great, smack dead in the hood but I never had any serious issues but just keep that in mind. I'm sure this is very convenient for the locals. The machines are pretty old in comparison to a LA Fitness per say. Very much outdated which is underwhelming to say the least. The gym is on the smaller side and the last few times I came here I have been very annoyed by this as it can get really crowded and people just don't care. You can be on the treadmill or a machine and it's people doing dumbbell exercises right in front of you , any and everywhere because thats how cramped it can get.

Hello, I visited your Rochdale location yesterday, New Year’s Eve, and I am aware that the club closes at 3 PM. However, I was very disappointed with how the staff, including management, handled the closing process. I entered the club at 2:30 PM, and shortly after, one of the managers claimed they were closing at 2:50 PM. While I was still on the machine, the lights were turned off, and staff began yelling at members to leave because they wanted to go home. It wasn’t even 3 PM yet, and the behavior was extremely unprofessional. As someone who relies on this facility to relieve stress, the shouting and yelling created great anxiety for me and disrupted my workout. I am considering ending my membership due to this experience, although this location is convenient for me. I hope you will address this issue and remind your staff to treat members with respect, especially during closing hours.

I didn’t give it a 5 star because the cleaning guy there is always in the women’s locker room and makes us ladies feel very uncomfortable. He used to wait outside the door but during my last few visits around 9-10pm, he’d be in there cleaning with no regard that women are changing. I don’t know why this gym doesn’t have a woman janitor and why the gym doesn’t put a sign blocking the door to warn women that the bathroom is being cleaned. Safety first.

I ❤️ Crunch. I have been a member at Crunch Rochdale for 4 years. I decided to write a review today because as a gym usually ages it sometimes can decline. However, Crunch Rochdale has always remained consistent. The gym floor is clean, the locker room is clean, the machines are clean and the variety of classes are always top notch especially HIIT. The biggest plus for me is the staff who always acknowledges me - it definetely gives me that boost on the days I don’t feel like working out. I wanted to give you a shout out for your consistency - I appreciate ya. Special acknowledgment to Tina for always being courteous and understanding it goes a long way - Thank you 🙏🏾

Love the atmosphere.......love the front desk people when I go there on Sundays, and the fitness instructor Fabby is AWESOME....!!!!! She gets you to work and push yourself !!!!! Her HITT workout class is crazy but you get a good sweat....!!!!! Definitely recommend it.
