The Y is absolutely amazing! My son started swim lessons in May and he has been coming once per week since then. All of their programs are incredible, but I can’t say enough about the swim program! Mr. Nick, his swim teacher has not only taught him how to fully swim at the age of three years old, but also has inspired him so much. Every day he asks if he is going to see Mr. Nick. He also does the summer camp, which he absolutely loves, and he asks to go back to every single day! Additionally, every person that works at the Y is welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and resourceful! Ridgewood is an amazing community but the Y really sets it self above and beyond expectations!

Great YMCA for school or after school activities. I have family who has used their preschool program which is intimate. It is also a large building that has a lot of other services. They have a small gym for adults and some great trainers. I really enjoy working with Travis Sample who is an energetic, positive and affirmative coach. Absolutely recommend!

I attended to Becky’s barre and mat Pilates classes and never going back to other studios. She is not only super friendly and welcoming but also super knowledgeable. I felt my legs and core burning (in a very great way!) during and after the class. I highly recommend her. Thank you for being so awesome Becky!!!

It could be five stars because I like the programs this place offers and all the help it does to the community; but what I don’t like is the behavior of some people specially one “lady” who is working at the front desk, she works in the morning (week days), I think she doesn’t like her job, she is not polite at all, she is always in bad mood and maybe racist. At the front desk must be someone nice, ready to help the members, and everyone who ask a question or need something. Unfortunately I didn’t have a good attention to me in many occasions, we are members for many years.

The unkept Arab guy on the second floor with the bad haircut was rude to my family on a welcome tour. He also smells awful, and wherever he walks the stench just lingers, which adversely affects my workout. But, other than that, the Ridgewood Y is a fine establishment.
