Every time I attend Dana’s NIA class at Foundations Yoga and Therapy I feel uplifted, stronger and more grounded. Dana leads the class with finesse and joy. The room is a beautiful and open space with natural light that transforms into a safe sanctuary for movement, honor and love of oneself and others. After class I always stop in to the boutique and find a treasure of clothing, jewelry, book or room spray that I bring home to complement my practice and life outside of the studio. The owner Sandy is often around and is just lovely. Dana and Sandy are truly sharing the gifts of the goddess’s!

I have been taking classes at Foundations Yoga for 4 years now and it has been an amazing journey. When I started I had pain in every part of my body and I never thought that I could do yoga but the instructors at Foundations proved me wrong ! Several of the instructors are trained in therapeutic yoga and are able to instruct you through the process in a safe and comfortable way. I am now nearly pain free, have better balance, and greater confidence in my ability to do yoga. The classes meet the needs of all levels of ability. The studio serves people of all ages and all sizes. It is a warm and welcoming environment and all of the instructors are so supportive. I am so glad that I found Sandy Izza and Foundations Yoga!

I didn’t have a clue what N I A was when I first heard the name, and I still couldn’t tell you what the three letters stand for, but I can tell you exactly how I feel during class – graceful, flexible, at peace, and 9 years old instead of my late 60's. Every single time I attend one of Dana’s Saturday classes, I close my eyes and am again that young girl who danced around her bedroom to the music in her head, lovely, confident, and unapologetically free. Please join me at 10:15 on Saturday mornings and unleash your inner beautiful child too.

Three years ago my boys gifted me with the best Christmas gift ever - three weeks unlimited membership at Foundation Yoga and Therapy! Since then I have fallen deeply in love with yoga and make sure not to miss a single day without attending a class - whether in person, or when unable, joining online. Not only all the instructors are fantastic, but the sense of community at the studio makes it feel like a second family to me!

I retired 2 years ago and was looking for a physical exercise that would help me keep in shape, not get injured and be able to incorporate into my life for long term. I have found that exact combination and more at Foundations Yoga and Therapy. Since joining yoga my sciatica is gone, my hip pain has greatly improved and I am much more flexible than when I started. It is also encouraging to see people older and younger than myself in the classes all working on strength, balance and flexibility. As Sandy and Jeanie say Yoga is your own practice. Everyone is at different stages in their practice and I appreciate that it truly is a judgement free zone. Thank you Sandy for creating this space where we can all improve and feel comfortable at the same time!
