Apex Vaulting

I have two kids learning pole vaulting at Apex. Both fell in love with the sport when they tried it at Apex, and now they are being equipped in tools that help them succeed. Grateful for the staff at Apex.

The instructors and not civil as well as disruptive at meets when things don’t go their way. Many times I’ve attended meets where the instructors from Apex yell and insight arguments with other coaches for no good reason rather and civilly approaching and discussing their disagreements like adults. Overall, very little to say about the instruction they give to students, but their demeanor at meets can be very unprofessional. As an athlete myself, I was extremely discourage and upset to see that a proclaimed teacher and lover of the sport would insult me on my technique because he was mad at my coach for a completely unrelated discussion.

This dude handles beginners like he's already taught a million of them, a number he's probably getting close to. Then, on the same runway, you'll see guys jumping 17'+ and girls jumping 13'+. There is a crazy range of skill levels that choose this club over others.

As an adult who still vaults I can't stress enough how great of an environment this is for learning, challenging yourself, and having a great time doing it. No matter your age, if you're interested in pole vault then this is the place to be.
