guy working on Thanksgiving needs to get his attitude checked. Silly little boy blew me kisses as I’m walking out 😂and started to act hard and all gangsta when I inquired about a day pass after not being at the facility since the new ownership. Told him I used to work at Retro before the new Indian owner took it over. Only if the owner was there everything would have been fine. Guy was acting like he’s the gatekeeper to the White House 😂 Silly boy.. it’s Thanksgiving and if you were a semi decent human being you’d let someone workout when the gym is open for 55 minutes more and not make it your priority to find a way to charge them $10. Retro fitness still seems to be the same unfriendly unwelcoming spot it always was. Owner if you’re reading this let me know your name and number. A lot of these 5 star reviews on the Google page was because I was one of the best trainers at that gym. Rest in Peace Lori, we still all miss you. Avoid this gym, try Crunch near Home Depot instead. Or jersey strong down 130 that’s open 24 hours

Retro Fitness is my 2nd home and gym community. I have attended gyms for many years and have found this gym to be the most friendly and welcoming. I moved to the area 3 years ago. From the first time I came in, the staff, instructors and personal trainers were so welcoming and strive to create a fun and challenging environment. The classes here are varied; there is something for everyone. The weights and equipment are in good shape and are replaced when needed. You can even work with a personal trainer and get tasty shakes after your workout. They have all you need to get a great workout. I have would highly recommend it.

This gym is never cleaned. The showers in the men’s locker room have mold all over the shower curtains. The water fountain also has mold ALL OVER IT. DO BETTER. This isn’t a case of “sorry we forgot to clean.” This is poor leadership and never even thought to clean. Their bathrooms are filthy, machines are so old that the treadmills have FIRST generation iPhone chargers built into them. Not ports, actual chargers for an iPhone made in 2008. The bathroom has a scale that’s broken. Its toilets are so old their finishes are gone. The mats on the floor are worn out. The people who work here do not leave the front desk and are on their phones. I’ve been coming here 2 weeks and I’m already ready to cancel my membership. This is absolutely unacceptable. Update: they did respond to the mold complaint immediately and rectified the situation. The fountains and showers are now spotless. Update 11/2024: mold has returned to bathroom and water fountain. They only clean when they receive complaints. It is not an ongoing process. The gym is far too small for the occupants during peak hours. I do not recommend this gym. Can’t wait until my membership expires. Update 12/2024: mold is still in bathroom and ALL OVER the water dispenser. The water filter indicator light has been red for over 2 weeks now. The men’s locker room is dirty, always. I just watched the cleaning guy come in, change the garbage liner, and leave without any other cleaning. The wall behind the hand dryer is black. They never have paper towels. This place is a mess and I’m just about ready to break my commitment based on these health violations. Will be reaching out to management and corporate.

Homely gym with a welcome vibe- definitely makes you feel like you’re part of a community! Been taking group classes here for over 3 years- the instructors, trainers and fellow members are super nice. Plenty of circuit equipment to get a full body workout. Lots of great group classes too! Definitely recommend!

I frequent this gym 5 days a week. Gym is very nasty, smelly and the equipment is old, broken and falling apart. I’ve mentioned Multiple things that need to be fixed. Months later they are still the same. One of the trainers is extremely egotistical and arrogant. (We all know who it is). Rest of the staff is amazing… Will be switching soon. Don’t come here
