Heart and Grit is a locally owned studio with an excellent reputation. Gina is friendly and knowledgeable and has assembled a great team. Classes are fun, suitable for all levels, and the instructors are supportive, providing a perfect level of individual guidance for practice development. I'm enjoying a mix of slower strength classes focusing on balance and form, and faster paced vinyasa flows; everything feels good in body and mind!

Heart & Grit Yoga is so much more than just a place to do yoga. Gina really makes sure that her teachers know how to connect yoga with functional movement, which was a huge bonus I didn’t expect. I’ve been doing yoga on and off since 2005, but I was mainly just copying what the teacher was doing without really understanding how to use my muscles or protect my joints properly. Gina has this amazing way of guiding you through poses so that you can get into them safely and effectively. I used to struggle with side plank and would hold my breath, just hoping I wouldn’t tip over. Once Gina showed me how to prep my body properly, I felt way more stable and could hold the pose much longer. The studio is super welcoming and has become a great place for me to grow my practice and clear my mind. I also jumped into the Summer of Yoga program, which was a great decision. The accountability helped me keep up with my practice even when things got hectic. Plus, Gina’s one-on-one sessions were perfect for fine-tuning my poses and strengthening my weaker spots. Overall, Heart & Grit Yoga has been a game changer for me, blending yoga with real-life movement and creating a supportive community. I'm so grateful I found the studio!

The instructors always do a great job breaking down and explaining every pose with modifications so everyone can be successful. 9 months ago when I started at the studio, crow pose seemed completely unattainable for me. When this pose was in a class, I usually just did an alternate pose until recently. The past few Flow classes have broken down crow pose and, after some practice, I can now hold the pose for a second or two. This is thanks to all the great instructors at the studio!

Today I finished my 4th class with Gina. A few things I love so far: Gina let me know I need the right mat, here I was slipping and sliding and thinking my old mat was great. I purchased a Bmat and wow! totally a difference. Gina explains everything we do, she also tells you why we do it. I love her final words at the end of class. If you are reading this and scared don't be, I'm a bigger gal, and it's been while since I've been on the mat. I do what I can and really try to stay in the moment when I am there. Thank you Gina, I look forward to my next classes!

115 classes in and I’ve never felt better! I’m so glad to have this studio nearby - we put in the work, but we smile and have fun doing it. I love Gina’s no nonsense approach, and as her team has grown, Heart & Grit has only gotten better!
