Centre City Gym & Fitness Center

I was a member of Centre City Gym for over a year. During last visit for a quick workout before closing, I was repeatedly asked to pay, despite not realizing my membership had expired. While I was working out I was approached three times regarding payment. After my workout, I went to fetch my credit card intending to resolve the issue, but was followed by two staff members and asked again. This left me feeling uncomfortable. When I returned to pay, I overheard the same individuals making comments about people spending money on other things instead of gym memberships. Despite this uncomfortable experience, I still paid for the renewal. However due to this experience, I will not be returning.

Centre City Gym is a great 'no nonsense' gym with everything you need. The community is very friendly and helpful and the owner Ed goes the extra mile to learn everyone's name and greet them whenever they arrive. Don't be intimidated by all the 'big guys' you see going in and out. They are some of the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure to meet! Stop by and give this place a try, and you just might love it there as much as I do.

Google reviews would be more useful if you had the option to give 0 or 0.5 STARS. The owner of the gym is disrespectful. Asked for clarification regarding a situation and he was very impolite about it over the phone. Came in-person to receive service and he was still very impolite. Such a dandiprat. He needs to go learn proper etiquette or better control his menopause issues. Also, there is not enough space whatsoever. All of the machines are way too close to each other and the dirty rags are a bad idea to clean workout equipment and machines. The gym should have sanitizing wipes or paper towels. The machines are rusty and difficult to use when setting the level.
