Genesis Health Clubs - Salina

Equipment is great. They only have one squat rack and one smith machine other than that everything else is included. The membership is quite overpriced. But the absolute worst part of it was the management and trying to cancel. I was in Salina on military orders for just 2 weeks so me and my buddy try to get a membership. First day we went one of the staff told us no we can’t give you a free trial that’s only for locals. So whatever we pay 20$ for one day and plan not to come back. Staff calls great guy he try’s to cut us a deal and apologizes for the first guy. He was pro military and his boss too. But then when we try to cancel before the next cycle the Head management guy(I assume) bald, tattoos on his arm, about 230 pounds, meets us at the table and says okay I’ll take care of you give me your name and number and that’s it. We thought that was weird so I go back to the great guy that helped us out and even his face said it all when I asked if it was canceled , it was not. He canceled our membership for us and that was that luckily. Do not trust the management. At least not the main guy. It is very shady thing to do to try and scam military members especially when we are leaving the state in 2 weeks. There was going to be almost no way to cancel and pay out of the town. Summary: it is very difficult to cancel membership and they will avoid it if they can to overcharge you more. Update: Thank you for the reply from health club but considering multiple members have had the same issue before AND after me it seems like you guys could careless I’m just hoping nobody follows in pursuit and gets blindsided like I. Make sure to document everything guys

Must be paying for reviews lol honestly one of the worst gyms I've ever been to. Up there with the Genesis from Leavenworth. Power rack is complete trash and leg equipment is subpar at best. Throw in the dumbest plates you've ever seen and you have a trash gym, right here in Salina waiting for you to waste your gains 😂😂

Facilities are clean, updated, and well maintained. Both I and my son made dramatic gains working out there. But more importantly, it’s a good company, ran by good honest people.

Very poor and shady business practices over charging customers I was clearly told by your representative that my account was not a auto payment and still I was charged fraudulent practices at its best

They place is clean, the staff is awesome, the equipment is top notch!!! We are visiting and absolutely will make this our home gym every time we are in Salina!!!!
