Recently returned as a member after living out of state for years.... WHAT HAPPENED TO THIS PLACE?!?! What a joke! Terrible facilities - dirty - locker rooms smell terrible - showers suck - always walking into dirty toilets (always!!) Disgusting! In addition - what "luxury" club does not offer upscale products to shower and get ready with?!?! Just generic, goopy, mystery shampoos, soaps and lotions .... nasty and way out of touch with luxury gyms! Try to find management to suggest this to or complain.... ha - non existent or dismissive. Highly suggest you go somewhere else!

This gym has gone downhill - fast! 80's decor.... terrible food... horrible management... always finding pubes on my towels.... machines always broken - what a mess! WAY to expensive - like a Bally's! Take your business elsewhere!

Rachel Miller is not kind to her employees and is unfair. I’ve seen it firsthand. She is negatively impacting the ebc experience. Wouldn’t go back.

I love this country club so much! I would recommend it time and time again. As someone who has some experience with upscale gyms, EBC takes the cake 🍰. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. They’re so willing to answer questions upon signing up and have had the privilege to get a couple of tours of the facility since it’s so big and I forgot where things were lol. The members are also kind and it’s easy to socialize here. I’ve met some awesome women in my classes and can see myself continuing to make friends and acquaintances. Love how they have social events every so often. The food there is delectable, too. The pools are always clean and their rooftop is gorgeous. I would continually recommend this place. Such a good place to be at in Chicago, especially during the summertime. EBC is worth every penny and I will continue to be a member there for a very long time. Join!! You won’t regret it.

If you like drama, this could be your club. I've been a member here for two years. I received a phone call from Diane yesterday to inform me of a moment I'm having with one of there fitness staff. The staff member is saying things that are not true and Diane would rather take her word. I informed Diane that I have over one and a half years of text messages with this fitness instructor that would explain this moment and requested that I could come in and show her. She refused. I told her the following: You're hitting the bullseye on the wrong target, I believe your employee is stressed out and needs a vacation, I reassured her that I have zero interests in this fitness instructor romantically, and I did not cause this event. Here are some things that she could know if she would be open for discussing: The staff member asked me out (socially) and that goes against EBC policy. The staff member and I went out socially. The staff member has been in my home several times. This situation goes outside of her scope of employment. She does not have the right to affect a relationship that her own employee started with me outside of the scope of business. For the record I keep telling the employee I am not attracted to her. It's a moment that I think the employee is having some personal challenges in her life and she's taking it out on me. Diane- you have zero abilities to listen- I feel bad for your employees health, but I am not your problem.
