Amped Fitness (Pembroke Pines)

When I first signed up for the VIP membership a few years ago everything was awesome. Keep in mind the yoga room and the basketball court was opened at that time. They have since closed the yoga room and court because they found a used condom. Every single day you see a new rule posted for this location. They make it the members responsibility to watch the 24/7 door that’s always broken, to make sure no one extra walks in then threatens to charge members if someone does. YET they refuse to hire overnight staff as if it’s the member’s responsibility to keep an eye on the door. The bathroom are outdated and falling apart. There’s almost never toilet paper. Equipment is always down. Homeless people pretty much live in there after hours. The squat area is falling apart. Walls are broken. What are we really paying for at this location? I walked in this morning and of course there’s a new set of rules. Annnd before you say sent an email to them I have, plenty of us have. This location is absolutely horrible. To think planet fitness at least has 1-2 people there at all times. Having staff at all hours would solves so much but they rather keep blaming members.

Rude staff, they clean the floor by blowing all the dust during busy hours and they don't even say sorry or a simple apology after throwing all the dust in your face, they keep doing it without caution, I didn't know it was a public park. Personally, I'm allergic to dust and this has already ruined my day. Also, they don't clean the machines properly. At least I recognize that one of the employees offered me a mask but no apology and they continued cleaning in the same inconsiderate way with the clients. They should organize themselves and do these cleanings at another time. I was there from 11 am to 12 pm. I have been paying for this membership for a year and actually never go. I don't want to sound like a Karen, but I found it very inconsiderate. It's common sense not to throw dirt on people's faces or bodies.

When I first joined this was an amazing gym I loved everything about it but truthfully now this gym is over crowed 24/7 even 3AM-5AM All the trainers are kind and respectful as well as some members at the front desk. If you pay for their VIP+ membership like I did you are told you can bring 1 guest, and that sounds great until you try to come at a later time when the gym is not crowded then you are told your one guest you pay for to get in can’t come in the gym after 9PM it’s ridiculous because this is not mentioned in the contract when you sign, But what led me to discontinue my membership was an AKA manager that should have never been given this position he was a tall dark skin male with glasses that told me and my guest we can not enter because we did not have her ID and that’s fine rules are rules and I understand but while I was trying to have a conversation with this unprofessional man/child he ate his food in my face talking with his mouth full and said out loud for all staff to here that he was going to FIRE all staff members anyways so it doesn’t matter who had let us in before so at that point I canceled my membership this is the only staff member that has been rude unprofessional and he has made others cancel there membership with his attitude but was a great gym and still could be just need to change their self proclaimed manager

i’m coming back to the gym for new years, and i was so incredibly amazed at how kind & friendly all of the staff were, especially the front desk manager Lottie. she made changing payment methods and signing up my friend easy and stress free, and as someone with very bad anxiety, i was so incredibly grateful that the process was made so smooth. a lot of the staff are so kind and go out of their way to get to know everyone! besides that, the gym is mostly in pretty good shape, aside from some broken machines & wear and tear which every gym has. i’ve gone to a lot of amped locations but this one is by far my favorite if you’re looking to feel like family and not just another number!
