During my 2 months work transfer in Orlando I looked around for a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Academy to continue my training. I was lucky to find Professor Alex after trying several other local places like Gracie and Atos. Alex comes from the lineage of De La Riva, and his technique is flawless. CFBJJ delivered exactly what i needed. The classes are very well structured. Takedowns, floor technique, as well as real life self defense situations if that is what you are looking for. Everyone was friendly and kept safety their first priority. I highly recommend CFBJJ if you are in Orlando.

I was in town for a week long event and needed a place to train. I sent an email to Central Florida Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and Professor Alex Cavalo who is a 3rd degree Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu responded and welcomed me to attend. During my visit Professor Cavalo who was teaching had excellent technical expertise in the techniques, positions, and strategies that he was teaching. He had effective communication that was clear and concise for the varying skill levels that attended class. While rolling with students I observed him providing encouragement to help them progress and he adapted his teaching style to suit the needs of the individual. Professor Cavalo is a passionate instructor and current with the latest techniques and trends in the sport. Anyone looking for a quality school this is it.

Professor Alex is amazing! He has such a calm and straight-forward way to teach. He made me feel welcome and included from day 1, training with people who have been there forever. The thing I like the most was the fact he observes you and teaches you based on your strengths so that you can use them on your favor. I had a great time there and I am planning on coming back as soon as I can.
