Genesis Physical Therapy

Blessed to have Genesis’ Dr. Camacho and staff helping me through my healing. This is my second time going to Dr Camacho and see he is still running a great team at his facility. They are a very friendly and knowledge staff. Definitely tops the other places I have had therapy in the past. The therapist listens to what is going on, makes sure to know my medical history, VERY important in my case, as he made sure not use certain equipment that would be more harm to me, do to other medical issues. Something I was not aware of And learned from him. He explains what the referring Dr. report says, works on the body part, discusses what his findings are then he brings a tech, explains to the tech what he needs them to do with me.. The tech stays with me while I do the exercises to make sure I do them correctly. They follow w treatment such as heat, stim, ultrasound, if needed. And if it’s the first visit PT comes back again at the end to make sure I was doing well and answer any questions. Thank you Genesis staff and Dr. Camacho 🙏🏼

Honestly the best PT I've found. The therapists really work *with* you and want to know how you are doing, how your body part(s) is healing, what works and what doesn't. Many other places I've been, the therapist reads a report from the doctor, confirms with me, "You're here for your [body part], right?" Then they give me an exercise to repeat a certain number of times. They may watch me do the first few, but then they walk away. Several minutes later they show up again and give me another exercise and walk away again. Repeat, repeat. Not at Genesis. The therapist listens to what is going on, actually works on the body part, discusses what could be happening, explains things! Then a tech stays with me while I do the exercises to make sure I do them correctly and don't injury myself further. Then there's actual treatment like heat, stim, ultrasound, ice, etc, depending on what my body needs. I've been to many places for PT, both in and out of Simi, and Genesis is the best. (Other places I may as well just be at home doing exercises alone.) At Genesis they really help me feel better and heal. With my latest order for my neck, I've seen several different therapists over my visits and at first I was disappointed to see new faces, but they've each been very kind, knowledgeable, and helpful. It's kind of cool that they each teach me something new at every visit. Most importantly, my neck is improving. I'm about to have a hip replaced and I will be coming here for my recovery.

The entire staff at Genesis was compassionate, professional and knowledgeable. I had a terrifying injury to the nerve in my left arm that left it completely numb with no motor function, (I couldn't even pick up a soda can), and a fairly poor prognosis. At best, I was facing a long treatment time. I was always greeted cheerfully by Kim in the front, with my chart ready to go. I was evaluated by Katie who designed the treatment/exercise program.She was knowledgeable and explained everything. She gave special treatment and care at each visit. Then the staff, Barrett and Rodney, followed through with those treatments and exercises. These often lasted over and hour. I was also given customized exercises for home. When I hit a frustrating plateau with improvement, the staff found additional treatments until improvement continued. They have a very nice, fully equipped facility. My arm is now fully recovered thanks to their patience and hard work. Thank you Genesis. I would recommend to anyone.

Everyone is wonderful! From Becky and Kim in the front office to all of the aides and therapists they can't be beat. I was hospitalized 5 years ago with degenerative discs and have been going to Genesis ever since. Now they are treating my vestibular disorder and I can't say enough about how kind, thorough and patient they are. Special thanks to Julie, Alex, Cynthia and Rodney.

Awesome staff & facility. Everyone is super friendly, knowledgeable and professional. It has been very encouraging to be in a comfortable environment where each staff member genuinely cares for you and wants to help you progress to full health. I have asked many questions about my "issues" throughout my physical therapy experience and always received a thorough explanation that helped me to understand my problem, the therapy options to help fix it, and the process toward getting to my goal of being pain free.
