Rick Hawthorne is an absolute GENIUS with horses and is a Master teacher, not only for children, but for adults learning to Vault for the first time. He encouraged me to face my rather significant fears of Vaulting, which is a microcosm of life, really. Once you get up and find "your seat" (even if you've ridden hundreds of times before, which I had) you immediately feel far more confident, and yes, even happier than you have in years for having met the challenge. Sentimental perhaps, yet I mean every word. His wife, the late Virginia Hawthorne, was a tremendously gifted and loving Soul. I know she is missed by the great many whose lives she touched.

I look forward to my time at Valley View Vaulters each week. Rick and Virginia are caring, wonderful people and know how to teach vaulting to people of all abilities. They look past your disability and push you to do truly amazing things. Once you start vaulting at Valley View, you become part of one big family. Not only do you learn new skills at each practice, but you have a ton of fun!
