I have been attending this gym since it opened on 12/31. Prior to becoming a member, I had several studio memberships + a gym membership so the price point is honestly a steal. No complaints there. Gym: The gym is okay and meets most of my needs. They could use more equipment in terms selection but generally they have most machines needed. A bit shocked that there's only 1 lat pull down and 0 seated cable row machines. Nonetheless, the stretch area, bands, and other small equipment provided are a nice touch and I'd still rate the gym area a 4. Studios: Love this aspect. I have taken 25 classes to date, many with the same instructor several times. Yes, they fill up fast, so yes, you need to book most of them as soon as they open. I have a bit of an obsessive personality so this works for me lol. Here are my highlights. Reformer: My favorite instructor is Brianna. I love her playlists and her repeated cues, because let's be honest, some of us are a little slower than others in understanding the assignment. While I do think she can be persistent with her cues, I've never been offended and I'm sure I have at least on one occasion been the reason why she needed to repeat herself so many times. I've taken 6 classes with her thus far and have enjoyed them all. I always feel challenged, I may even take an excessive amount of breaks on the reformer and while she gently pushes us to stay in it and to keep going, I don't feel judged when I don't. Overall I would highly recommend her as an instructor and always look forward to her classes. Yoga: I wish the classes were a bit warmer. Seems like the temperature doesn't quite reach the "hot" standard. I don't need it to be 105 but sometimes it gives 80. That's probably my only suggestion in general. Instructors I loveeee Lia! She's so sweet and she remembered my name and gave me subtle shout out during one of our classes. Subtle things like that make a difference and are nice especially when there are so many people in the classes making it a little difficult to build community. I also enjoy her playlist and really just her overall sweet nature. I'm a regular! I've only attended one of Larraine's classes BUT it was great. I loved her set up and lighting changes. Her first song was I Get So Lonely by Janet Jackson, yasssss 🙌🏽. Was such a vibe, of course I'll be back :) Boxing: I've only taken classes with Sergio but he's GREAT. He's highly motivating, provides corrections, and in general you can just tell he loves what he does. I feel extremely unstoppable when I leave boxing lol (I probably should relax). I also burn a ton of calories so it's another class that I try to regularly attend. BTW, the discipline quote that he uses from Mike Tyson is now something I tell myself daily. Again, he's great, highly motivational and I have found the impact of that outside of class. Ride: I really enjoy Alex's ride classes. She's amazing, like no really. I can't say riding is my favorite as it generally hurts my butt but Alex makes it fun, lively, she pushes you to challenge yourself and I have found the things she says really push me to be better outside of classes. I think that's an important part of fitness for me, the way it impacts my mental health/well-being and ride with Alex does that for me. With that said, I try to do it weekly even if my butt is sore after! Pilates: I've attended a few Pilates classes. I went to a hot Pilates studio in the past and am very use to a format that incorporates HIIT into the workout. This is a bit different so I'm still trying to figure out how I feel about it. Overall, I'm glad I signed up for Club Studio. Yes it's busy, yes the parking can be challenging, but I still attend multiple times a day/week and have found it to be a great second home.

I remember purchasing a pre-owned Nissan Maxima and thinking, wow this is a very nice car. Until…I upgraded six years later to a luxury vehicle that made me question how I ever drove anything else. This is the way that I felt when I walked into Club Studio. For the 20 years that I have been weight training, I have become accustomed to the simplicity and community that traditional gyms such as 24 Hour Fitness and In-Shape Fitness offer. Those gyms have their individual benefits; however, I would say that Club Studio is more of a luxury gym (if that’s even a thing) for folks that want more of a comprehensive fitness experience. When I walked into the establishment I was warmly greeted by an employee behind the very elaborate front counter (it reminded me of the day spa counters that you see at vacation resorts). The employee assisted me with checking in for the first time and pointed (I sensed that he could not leave the front desk unattended – which I totally understand) me to the men’s locker room. En route to the men’s locker room I observed how clean the facility is (granted it has been opened for less than a week), the non-harsh lighting (perfect for those who like to take gym selfies), and the signs indicating designated parts of the facility (i.e., group fitness classes, stretch areas, etc.). Upon entering the locker room, I followed the instructions on the inside of a locker to create a temporary code and placed my gym bag in the locker (bags are not allowed on the gym floor). Upon entering the main gym floor, I observed the various forms of equipment designed to work any muscle group of your desire. Sitting on the equipment was a reminder that I was not in a traditional gym. The leather/padding on the equipment is very supple (better quality than some cars I have sat in) and contours to your body (in comparison to some gyms that use slippery leather that can make you feel unsecure while performing an exercise). Although the pandemic has taught us that you do not need overly heavy weights to build muscle, I appreciate that the dumbbells go up to 125 pounds. Following the conclusion of my weight training session, I walked over to the stretch area to do some core training. The area had individual booths with a mirror, mat, and cubbies with little fitness balls. Being that I prefer not being at the center of attention while doing a core workout or stretching, I appreciated the seclusion that this space offered. Although I worked up a nice sweat, I felt like the overall clean environment made me feel less “icky” when leaving the facility. I enjoyed my first day experience at Club Studio. Aside from the many amenities offered at the facility, it felt like a safe environment that is welcoming to people of all body types. I look forward to future visits so that I can experience the boxing class, hot Pilates, infrared sauna, and cryotherapy. Club Studio facilities are scarce, which speaks volumes to the fact that we now have one in Elk Grove!

I love this gym. If you are into classes you can’t find anything like this elsewhere without having multiple memberships. The classes and instructors are great. Classes are full but it is the beginning of the year so I am optimistic things will level out. The gym is gorgeous, clean, and has towel service. Staff are so friendly and helpful! The price is cheaper or equivalent with what you would pay for any studio membership nearby without all of the options. For someone who loves classes I am thrilled we have this as an option in Elk Grove!

Been working out at this gym since earlier Jan, Classes are great, but customers service is horrible. Very cold, bad attitude when you ask them anything. I guess they don't need customer service once they already made a sale on you? They also keep changing instructors of the class last minute. If you like any instructor, it's hard to follow them for that specific reason. If you charge a price like that, at least have better/nicer customer service.

I love this gym a lot. It’s very clean and aesthetically pleasing. The classes are very fun, clean, and nice on the eyes. The instructors are motivating, especially Karlyn, and the people are friendly. They make sure the gym stays clean and tidy. The locker rooms are great, there are even Dyson hairdryers, but me and a few other people have encountered some issues with the lockers, where the code doesn’t work and the staff needs to come and open it with their own key. They provide towels and they have spacious showers. The sauna is gorgeous with the himalayan salt wall, but sometimes it’s not hot enough. Maybe it depends on how many people are in it. The gym equipment is top notch and very smooth. Aside from all the pros, there are a few cons too. First of all, it’s hard to get into the classes you may want. There’s a waitlist for classes a week prior to them. The classes, in my opinion, make the membership worth it. But it’s very disappointing when almost every class is booked. It’s not impossible to get off the waitlist, but you can’t see what number you are on the waitlist. There’s no pool, steam room, or basketball court. If you don’t plan to go to the boutique classes, I wouldn’t recommend this gym for you. You have to pay for the boxing gloves for the boxing class, or rent or buy it from the front. It’s not provided. And for pilates, if you go in without grippy socks they won’t let you in the class and tell you to buy the overpriced socks from the front desk. In conclusion, I do love this gym and I don’t even feel like leaving it when I go. And personally, it’s perfect for me because it has the things I want and need. Just don’t expect something like In-Shape Family Fitness, it’s very different. Update: You have to book a class a week prior to it, and the worst part is that classes a week before the date get booked the same hour it opens for booking. The reform classes are so hard to get into. I hope they can fix this issue and put what number you are on the waitlist. Like I mentioned, the classes make the gym worth the money. I would appreciate if they at least put what number you are on the waitlist. I also went to beaming, and I got a basic smoothie for 11 dollars… it was mediocre at best. And there’s still problems with some of the lockers. ☹️
