Carmichael Academy - Family Taekwondo

We just moved to the area and took my 6 year old for a two week trial. We got a phone call shortly after sending in that we were interested, and they wanted to take the payment for the two week trial over the phone which was totally fine. We arrived and had fun in the intro class. The staff was fun. When the trial was over, we were cornered and very very pressured to sign a contract with them for over $2000. I kindly let them know we needed to discuss as a family and that we had another family member helping us with the payment for a gift and he was suppose to have 3 more classes with his trial. I also wanted to consider another place by our house as well. We had a very hard time leaving the facility without signing up and I received 15 phone calls and 3 texts from them in the next 12 hours. I really loved the idea of their academy and my son loved it but the desperate act for a sale was very concerning and is the only reason I would never come back there. They would not accept maybe for an answer and would not let us continue the remainder of the trial, which I paid for.

Our family loves the academy! The students learn amazing skills and gain confidence that helps them throughout life! Each of the instructors really invest in the students and get to know them personally as well as their family! Plus Tournaments and holiday events are so much fun and great for the students to build friendships🙌🏼

I'm entirely grateful for the martial arts training I have received under Masters Jonathan & Taren Peschke over the years. The classes I've attended have helped me get in the best shape of my life! The training has also increased my mental clarity, focus, and perseverance and has even had a lasting effect with my career, family and even my down time. I find that I don't go a day without throwing more than a few kicks at home. Taekwondo will always be a major part of my life and I couldn't recommend Family Taekwondo Academy enough for all it has helped me to accomplish!

I love it here! I have been doing the kickboxing classes for over a year now, and I really love the people! I started this class for strength training and cross training for running, but I love the class itself. I recently started Taekwondo and have had an amazing time learning so many new things. I am definitely more confident, strong, and flexible!

We love Carmichael Taekwondo! Son loves getting better at cool skills like self defense and weapons, mom loves getting in shape again, and dad loves finally being able to perform moves he always wanted since he was a kid. Plus the community is so caring. We make friends and work on social skills with everyone, attend tournaments and parties and special events. I also really appreciate the care and structure of the teachers. We were at a different martial arts academy before and it wasn’t nearly as thoughtful or organized. Finally going as a family is clutch. We bond and get better together, whereas other after school activities parents just stare at their phones. Thank you Family TKD!
