i honestly really wanted to love PYP because they’re well priced and convenient, but unfortunately this is not the case. i did a number of their reformer pilates classes, which i’ve been doing for years at other studios, and this one was just bad. the instructor would consistently talk about how us “younger girls” would know real strength once we had children, or that we would be thanking her for the moves she had us doing while eventually birthing a child. these were only a few of many similar comments, which all made me incredibly uncomfortable considering i’m only 23, and it was a 7:30am pilates class. she also one time switched my springs and told me im “probably not as strong as i thought” which i actually laughed out loud at because what kind of workout instructor says that? what really convinced me to stop going on top of the things i’ve already mentioned, was the instructor would push my body to have me in the right position on the reformer which is usually okay and appreciated, but she would forcefully push my legs, neck, arms, etc. which is painful and also dangerous when standing on a moving reformer. it got to the point where i’d be nervous if she’d look at me cause i know she’d either come shove me around or make some weird comment about me being weak for one reason or another. anyway, i tried to reach out to the studio for a refund on the few classes in my pack that i will not be using but did not ever hear back. i’d understand if maybe that goes against their policy, but a reply telling me so would have been appreciated.

PYP is an exceptional studio that fosters a caring community where all are encouraged to be the “best version of you.” I have been a part of PYP since its inception and look forward to every class that I attend. The instructors are phenomenal, know you by name, and provide classes where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. It is wonderful to be around so many people who share a love for improving both mind and body.

I have enjoyed all aspects of working out at PYP. I haven't made it in as often as I would have liked, but I am always greeted with a smile at the door, an intense workout, knowledgeable and invigorating staff and clean facilities. I do not think there is a better gym in the State College area or elsewhere. Cannot recommend PYP enough.

Amazing studio with a really fun community. Super clean with amenities like towels and locker rooms available. Teachers are highly trained and offer a variety of teaching styles as well as levels of intensity. Welcoming environment for newbies or for those who are more experienced. They know their clients by name. Highly recommend if you are either just visiting or are looking for a home studio.

Every year I travel from Italy and I spend a couple of months in State College (pandemic permitting). Yoga Lab is one of my preferred destinations there, to find very professional yoga teachers, a friendly and pleasant atmosphere and great yoga practice. Their virtual classes are also outstanding! I definitely recommend it.

I’m so glad I found Yoga Lab! It’s the best yoga studio in State College for those interested in a practice that integrates mindfulness with an amazing workout. I’ve been to so many different classes and every single one has been great. The teachers are really knowledgeable, and I always leave class feeling incredibly relaxed. The best part about Yoga Lab is the sense of community. I love how the teachers try to get to know the students, and we’re encouraged to start conversations with students we’ve never met before.

This is the best yoga studio in State College! Not only are the instructors incredibly friendly, the classes are awesome- there are classes for every level of yoga experience. I love that the instructors have trained with physical therapists so that they teach us the proper alignments to keep us healthy and safe. I’m happy to be a part of the Yoga Lab community!

Best yoga studio in State College! This is my fourth year in Yoga Lab. The teachers are wonderful- they are very knowledgeable in anatomy and mindfulness. A great community to be in to build your sustainable yoga practice! Both the in-person and virtual classes are of great quality.

Yoga lab is a great place to do yoga in state college. The studio is very nice and I like that they have the social distancing of the mats as it helps to ensure the classes are not too crowded. The instructors are great and help tech me, who does not know much about yoga, how to do the flows. It is very helpful. I will say though that yoga lab is not located in Sheetz as google may lead you to believe!!

I love Wellness in Motion!! Every teacher I’ve taken a class with so far has been great. I really appreciate that they offer a couple different class levels & time slots EVERYDAY (which is so hard to find in a small town). I keep inviting more friends to join in hopes they offer even more class sessions to choose from! Price is reasonable, I bought the monthly unlimited membership to encourage myself to go as much as possible to get my money’s worth. Highly recommended 🙂

Super Vinyasa with a forest of trees. I was visiting near State College and needed a shot of yoga. I’m glad I chose Wellness in Motion. Nicole led a great class built on a theme of Vrksasana variations. I also liked exercising with a beautiful Mountain View. Trees of course. I will definitely come here for practice next time I’m in the area. Much Gratitude.

I love this studio so much. Everyone is very welcoming. I enjoy all the classes that I attend. The instructors are great. They give you many options so you can work at your level. I never knew how much I would enjoy yoga physically, spiritually, and mentally until I took a class at this studio. Yoga has enriched my life. I can't say enough about all the great things at Wellness in Motion!

I recently started attending classes here, as I was looking to improve overall mobility and joint health, because of some overuse injuries from running. Taking classes here has been a great addition to my fitness routine. The environment is welcoming, and the instructors do a great job of providing options to suit students of all levels.

Dr. Justine's miraculous touch, expertise, and skillful hands worked wonders on my lower back pain. The feeling of success and immense relief I experienced after her treatment was truly remarkable. Her ability to remember our conversations added a personal touch to the entire experience, making me feel both cared for and understood.
