I think this is an absolute wonderful gym. It really has an old school boxing feel to it. My sons attended the boxing classes and I enjoyed the training they received. Coach Frank and coach Shawn saw that every child got the proper training. There is regular breaks and no child is being pushed over their limits. I enjoyed the professionalism everyone has here. You can’t beat the monthly membership price they have. They sell wraps and gloves. It’s street parking.

Friendly , professional and patient with a beginner like myself. Kickboxing class was amazing cardio with great techniques on how to transfer energy into kicks and punches. Highly recommended. Need this in my life . Wish I lived in long beach.

I signed my son up for a free kids boxing class. He sat on the sidelines the whole class and wasn't feeling it but the staff here texted me to re-schedule, multiple times. Very great communication and the class itself was impressive. Every single kid was engaged and having a blast. They must have been wiped out afterwards!

Currently being harassed for canceling my membership. They didnt let me cancel over the phone so I cancelled my own way. Does that justify their harassment? Up to you im just here to leave a poor review.

A great resource to have in the community. Good assortment of classes with a variety of trainers. They even upgraded this location in 2023 with new flooring, new weight machines, a new ring, etc. The year-long membership I got was also a great deal.

Just joined this gym a few months ago and I love the intimacy of the gym. Staff is super friendly and knows you by your first name. They offer all kinds of fitness group classes like boxing, kickboxing, HIIT, etc. I’ve trained with Tommy, Evan and Mario and have gained a lot of knowledge and empowerment to continue this fitness journey. Joining is an investment and it is money well spent!

Hitting my one year in about 2 weeks. And I can say signing up for a membership here has been one of the best decisions I’ve made towards taking my fitness seriously. It’s very close to where I live, huge parking lot, a lot of heavy bags to practice, the staff are really cool and friendly. No drama between members or between staff. A full array of weights and machines. The entire gym is clean and doesn’t have that sweaty smell other gyms have. And I love the music selection the blast throughout the day. For those comments who say there are hidden fees. They do disclose fees. All gyms have fees. I don’t understand why this concept is foreign to some people. Maybe they’ve never had a gym membership before. Anyways, this gym rocks. It has it all and the coaches / community are really cool. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I would leave them no stars if possible. They make it sure hard to cancel the membership and they even sent the collections by running the hidden fees. Called multiple times to resolve and this guy Raul is so sneaky and tries to pull as much money as he can from you. Gym is good but the staff is toxic.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for the past four months, and after taking the time to truly reflect on my experience, I can confidently say that Hardworx is hands down the best gym community in Long Beach! From the moment I walked through the door, I was welcomed by an incredible group of people – both staff and members – who are not only friendly but also truly inspiring. Everyone here motivates you to be your best self, and the supportive environment makes you feel like you’re part of something special. The coaches at Hardworx are exceptionally knowledgeable, and they take your fitness journey seriously. They don’t just go through the motions – they genuinely care about helping you achieve your goals. When I first started, I weighed 157 lbs, and after just a few months, I’ve lost 25 lbs, gained muscle, and made incredible progress. I went from not being able to do a single pull-up to knocking out five in under two months! A huge shoutout to Coach Kam – thank you for believing in me from day one and pushing me to be the best version of myself. Your dedication, encouragement, and constant support have made all the difference. You’ve never let me slack off and have always held me accountable – especially when it comes to doing abs after every workout (even when I thought I couldn’t do one more rep!). Your approach is exactly what I needed to keep moving forward, and I’m so grateful for everything you’ve done to help me reach new levels of strength and fitness. It’s clear that the owner genuinely cares about the growth and success of every member. I’ve seen him walk around the gym, offering help to anyone who needs it, providing alternative exercises when necessary, and encouraging people to push themselves to reach new heights. His hands-on approach shows just how much he invests in each person’s journey, and it really creates a supportive and motivating atmosphere throughout the gym. I honestly believe I wouldn’t have been able to achieve these results at a typical box gym. The personalized attention, encouragement, and the constant push to grow, learn, and love myself have made all the difference. If you’re looking for a gym that truly cares about your progress and wants to help you become the best version of yourself, Hardworx is the place to be!
