I'm new to Pilates and have been trying different studios so that I can put together a regular practice especially since my favorite yoga studio closed during Covid. Blue Moon's instruction is top notch! The Instructors pay a lot of attention to their students and what they need as far as extra guidance or alternative movements for injuries (this hasn't been my experience at other studios). Blue Moon instructors are continually scanning to check alignment and proper movement so that you're getting all of the benefits and no injuries. Everyone from staff to members is super friendly and helpful. I want to give a special shout out to Laura Epstein who I did my initial private sessions with. She was super patient and provided excellent instruction while also helping me to get familiar with the various pieces of equipment so that felt confident going into my first group class. The only "area of improvement" that I would say would be to have more Level 1 classes. I'm looking forward to taking many more classes at Blue Moon!

I wish to recommend my trainer Tiffany with Blue Moon Pilates. I have been doing Pilates for 31 years in Orange County. Tiffany is one of the best instructors I have had in my three decades of Pilates classes. Her command of anatomy, which is the basis of all the Pilates exercises, is excellent. She is focused on functional movement--stability, flexibility, balance, and strength—which helps us learn to incorporate the physical skills we learn in Pilates into our daily activities making us safer and stronger. Her verbal instruction, or cueing is spot on. This enables us to easily flow through the movements as we focus on her instructions. Every class is different—never repetitive or boring. She uses all the various equipment in the studio in her classes and uses it in different ways from class to class. She is hands on with the students, helps us with our form, and is very sensitive to injuries and skill level. When you are finished with one of Tiffany’s classes, your body has been worked and you leave feeling accomplished knowing you are getting stronger every class. And, most of all, it is fun with such a joyful and positive teacher at the helm!

I wish there was a 6 star option. The studio is beautiful and the front desk was so kind. Most importantly the Pilates kicked my bootie. My instructor was Stacia, and WOW… she was awesome. So patient and knowledgeable, I highly recommend to anyone who is looking to re enter back into the Pilates regiment… Blue moon Pilates is it!

I took the Balanced Body Trapeze module with Heidi. She is straight forward and full of energy, which made the class fun and easy to understand!

Apart from the great environment and cordiality of staff, all instructors are highly experienced and are always paying attention to all students and making corrections and adjustments whenever necessary. The fact that the number of people is limited also makes this possible, which proves that their top one priority is the safety and well-being of their students. I have other Pilates studios closer to me but I prefer to drive a little further to go there because I trust them so much and I'm 100% sure I'm in good hands there.

I have struggled with keeping up with fitness my whole life. I’ve tried boot camp classes, boxing classes, yoga classes, and just the regular gym and nothing has ever stuck for me. Being overweight always made me self conscious in these places and I’ve taken classes where instructors made me feel like I didn’t belong there because I wasn’t keeping up with everyone else. I wanted to try Pilates because I heard it would be good with my back pain and since it’s a low impact workout but I was scared because everyone here looks like they could be on the bachelorette lol. The first few classes were a little scary because I didn’t even know what a reformer was let alone how to use it but the instructors here were so great and patient (especially Marley!) She really took the time to show me how to use everything and would come by and guide me through it if I wasn’t doing something correctly. She gives modifications for every move and knows how to encourage me without making me feel bad. If you are looking into it and hesitant, I truly suggest giving it a try! I’ve been in it since February and love going to workout now when I used to dread it.

If I could give this place a negative star I would. I have never had such an awful interaction at a workout studio in my life. Today was my second class here. I’m 3 months postpartum and an avid Pilates person before I had my baby. This is the one peaceful moment of my day since becoming a mom and I truly look forward to my classes. I used to go to BeFit but since they have raised their prices significantly I decided to try something new. I saw that I was running 5 minutes late and I hussled my butt to get into class because I don’t like being late and I checked in with ClassPass and immediately got in exactly at 12:05. Mind you the class was half EMPTY and the teacher (Shelby) quite literally stood in front of me blocking the doorway and would not let me in. She said there’s a strict 5 min late policy (which isn’t posted anywhere on ClassPass description) and I proceeded to say “it’s 12:05 exactly” and she looked down at her watch and right as she did the clock turned 12:06 and she would NOT let me in. This is really bad for business. I could understand if the class was full but it was not. It was half full at best. I could even understand if I was 10 min or more late or new to this class and needed instruction but I was not. So I will NOT be returning to this studio. It’s unfortunate but I would rather pay way more for BeFit than be treated badly for being 5 min late to class. We live in a high traffic area. Life happens! This is not sustainable for a successful business. Good luck staying open for more than a year here!
