Training at Anthos has been an absolute game-changer for me. The trainers are not only incredibly knowledgeable but also genuinely invested in your progress, pushing you to achieve your best while ensuring proper form and technique. The community here is unmatched – supportive, uplifting, and inspiring – it feels like a second family. Most importantly, I’ve seen amazing results since joining, both physically and mentally. Anthos creates an environment where you feel challenged yet completely supported, and that’s rare to find. I couldn’t recommend it enough for anyone looking to transform their fitness journey!

I was an Anthos member for 2.5 years before I moved out of Chicago. The gym remains to be one of the best personal investments I've made for my health. I had very little fitness experience before starting at Anthos, but the philosophy of Anthos --- teaching people how to workout in a smart, safe, and individualized way --- meant that I came out of Anthos not only as someone in better shape but as someone who was deeply attuned to form and my body. The workouts were always tailored to my own goals and to my fitness habits (for instance, when I started swimming regularly, Anthos adjusted my workouts to account for all the swimming muscles that I was putting under stress more frequently). I've learned a tremendous amount about fitness from Cliff, Shaka, and every trainer who I've been fortunate to meet through Anthos. That is something that I've been able to carry with me since I moved, now that I plan out my workouts. You can easily see how Anthos lives and breathes its philosophy through how Cliff and Shaka educate the fellow Anthos trainers --- everyone there is deeply committed to growth and self-improvement. That, plus the larger Anthos community, made working out a joy. And I miss that experience terribly!

Very grateful for the two months I’ve spent with Anthos (so far)! I have enjoyed lifting on my own for the past few years but felt as if I reached a ceiling on my own knowledge and ability, and I often worried about injuring myself when increasing weights. Joining Anthos is an investment in your lifelong knowledge about weight lifting and proper form. In two months, here are just a few of my concrete wins: 1) going from 30 lb dumbbell squats to 55, 2) going from a 50 lb chest press to 80, 3) doing multiple pushup sets comfortably. I could go on — in general, my core is stronger and I can lift with the confidence that I didn’t have before, especially toward the aim of avoiding injuries and knee pain. And importantly, it is fun!!! The trainers are the best — I worked most with Cliff and Kiesha and had a blast during each session. Going here was often the highlight of my day. If you are hesitant, the last thing I’ll add is that all types of folks are working out in this gym. Some have been weightlifting for a long time, others are brand new, returning to training postpartum, etc. I was impressed by this and the customization of training plans for each person.

I never liked working out before Anthos, but this place has made going to the gym a highlight of my week. They have cultivated an atmosphere of support and encouragement so it's impossible to leave without a smile on your face. Thanks to the community events like the potluck I've also gotten to know more people in my community. Literally don't even wait just go schedule your first training session, you won't regret it.

My FAVORITE gym!! Been there for nearly 2 years. I love that they are knowledgeable and caring health professionals. They are a highly educated team of fitness experts. I am in my best shape ever and have achieved more with Team Anthos than working out on my own. Money well spent!

Just starting my fitness journey and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! Ray has been incredibly knowledgeable, motivating and supportive every step of the way. He's very understanding of my being a newbie; he patiently explains every movement thoroughly, making sure I can do them correctly. His focus on improving my form and strength makes each session effective and safe. Plus, time flies by during our sessions thanks to his charismatic personality and varied routines. With his expertise, I’m already seeing progress. I highly recommend Ray to kickstart your fitness journey!

Lost 50 lbs my first year, looking forward to my second year with Ray. After trying “everything” to lose weight on my own for over 10 years, I ran into Ray’s fitness and it has changed my life. I only dreamed of losing this much weight (and gaining muscle); Ray’s instruction/support have made it a reality. Ray works with all fitness levels/body types/goals and is effective; I highly recommend him and he’s definitely worth the investment in yourself. Thank you!! Ray is great! A true professional in his field. He listens to your goals and then tailors a workout plan for you. He is also creative and thoughtful with his workout plan and modifies as needed. I appreciate his attention to detail and his knowledge and insight into all areas of fitness.

I feel and see the difference training with Ray! I appreciate his thoughtfulness in showing and explaining proper form and layout of workouts. The training is tailored to each person. You'll feel comfortable but also challenged in the right ways! Highly recommend
