I signed one of my sons up for BJJ here a couple years ago because I wanted him to know how to defend himself. Well, with how nice the people here are, I ended up befriending the owner, Chris, multiple other coaches and parents, and joined myself last year. I also had my youngest son join us and now all 3 of us train on a regular basis. The boys are even doing wrestling classes here now, too. The Base has become a second home for us - each coach truly cares about each class and takes their time making sure new people know what we're training. And, I've met some of the best people locally that I can call friends. Don't hesitate to join if you've been thinking about it!

New guys here, but every coach has been very helpful and nobody has an ego! Which makes it very easy to WANT to go and learn!! Love it

I joined here about 6 months ago after taking a ~4 year break from jiujitsu. I feel really grateful to be able to train again and love being a part of this gym. The Base has lots of options for classes all throughout the day, great coaches, and a friendly, encouraging atmosphere in the gym. Thank you Chris and coaches for making The Base a great place to be.

Drop in friendly! I was in town for a wedding and dropped in for the Sunday fundamentals and open training. Class was fun, the coaches were awesome, and the members were very friendly. Highly recommend.

Great coaches, the students will go far here with their training. *update* class sizes are huge now. I’m worried that the training quality will diminish with the huge class size. Even with 3 coaches. Although there are male and female classes for adults there doesn’t seem to be a class just for the girls or boys. A discount for multiple kids ? I would love to be able to afford it.

Our 4 year old is enrolled in the Tiny Tigers class, and we are extremely impressed. The instructors manage to strike a perfect balance between fun, discipline, and instruction. The focus that Ms. Evelyn, Ms. Bailey and Mr. Isaiah help develop in class and expect from students is nothing short of extraordinary.

We have been extremely happy with East West Martial Arts. The staff is amazing. Classes have a lot of energy and variety to keep kids engaged and growing in their understanding of martial arts. The staff are very kind and encouraging. They challenge our daughter to be her best and continue to make improvements, not only in Karate, but in her life as well. She absolutely loves coming here. Edit: We have been at East West since 2018 and have seen our daughter grow in confidence and leadership. East West has been the consistent in her life that has helped her grow, especially these last couple years. Really could not ask for a better group of people and program.

I have been going here for a little over 2 years and I love it. Ms. Evelyn and Mr. Trey are so incredibly kind and are the reason I am more confident then I've ever been and I can't thank them enough for being so amazing. I would highly recommend coming here to grow both mentally and physically.

Both of my girls attend the Tiny Tigers class here and we absolutely love the program. The staff does a great job of keeping in touch with me and letting me know how the girls are doing. Evelyn is their teacher and she is incredible. She really does a good job of getting the kids to focus, teaching stranger danger, and teaching the basics of martial arts to the littles. I was even more impressed to see that she is fluent in sign language! Doug is also great and always keeps us informed, answers all my questions and is very accommodating.

East West Martial Arts is simply amazing. Their passion for instructing kids in martial arts is second to none. But what I want to most praise them for right now is their birthday party hosting skills. We recently hosted our youngest son's party here. To say it was the experience of a life time is an understatement. The hostess, Ms. Evelyn was superb. Her skills in keeping the kids involved, smiling, and having a good time was a true blessing. My son and all he guest never stopped having a good time. She transitioned them with flawless ease from one activity to the next. Giving me, the mom, the ability to ensure the pure delight of my child's celebration without concern and stress. I simply cannot recommend them enough, giving them 5 stars doesn't simply like enough!!!
