I highly recommend BJJ Shore Academy. As a complete BJJ beginner, Professor Bill and Coach Micaela have been making me feel welcome and comfortable from the moment I walked in. Bill gives all the students individual attention and guidance, along with the other black belts in the gym. All the training partners have been really supportive. The energy in the room is amazing and everyone is friendly. There's a reason this academy has 300 five star reviews :).

Went Saturday morning and had a great session. Large, organized group that was very helpful to a white belt learning the ropes of BJJ. Bill personally introduced himself to me to welcome me to the gym. Would highly recommend this place for all levels of the sport.

As a complete beginner to BJJ, I have to say, Bill's Academy is top-notch. I was driving an hour after work every day just to make it to class, and it was absolutely worth it. The instructors are fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and they explain techniques in a way that makes sense. One of the best things about this place is how they rotate in different black belts instructors from around the state and country, so you're constantly exposed to new perspectives and learning opportunities. Bill himself is very committed to each student’s progress. He’s careful about pairing you with the right training partners, whether it’s experienced instructors or skilled higher belts, ensuring you get the guidance you need. What I really appreciate is that Bill is particular about promotions; you only move up when he’s confident you've earned it. If you’re serious about learning BJJ and want to be part of a great community, this is the place to be.

If you’re in the Ocean County area, definitely go to BJJ SHORE ACADEMY -MAN!!!! tough blue room and everyone that knows of Bill Scott’s you will come out of there drenched sore and enlightened. It’s a really tough room and you learn an immense amount of technique and grit. You’re missing out if you don’t stop in there, you won’t regret it and also they have a mascot pitbull named Brian and he is the cutest. He is the absolute best, professors are aces. Practitioner’s from all over the globe stop in there and know of BILL SCOTTS. - you’re the best bill Oooossss

Bill Scott's has been an awesome jitz gym for the eight years I have floated in and out of it. They have plenty of black belts, competitive and friendly rolls, and a great culture. Bill is a great place to start BJJ or to return to it after many years.
