Great gym and great classes for beginners! They WILL PUSH YOU BEYOND your comfort zone! Come ready to work with a great attitude! They taught me the basics, fundamentals and beginner techniques of boxing! Coach Baba is a great coach! Coach Nando and Coach Manny helped me as well! I highly recommend! If you don’t have gloves, and other supplies you can rent or purchase it from Independent MMA & Fitness! Glad I joined and obtained a membership!

This is an absolutely wonderful MMA / BJJ gym! All the instructors are tip top at their respective arts, both in their personal knowledge base, as well as their ability to transfer that knowledge to their students. Professor Chad (one of the owners) is one the most personable, dedicated, and knowledgeable BJJ instructor’s my son has ever worked with. Manny, Nando, and Coach E are also exemplary in the muay thai and mma disciplines. My son learned many new techniques and improved his already existing martial arts skill set dramatically over just a couple months, due not only to the excellent coaching, but also due to the team environment that they (the coaches, as well the other students) foster and encourage there. The mentality of team above self is what really makes this gym thrive. Every single student is embraced and treated as part of the family, whether they are new to the gym or not. If you live in the McDonough, GA area and truly want to grow to your fullest potential, then you should look no further.I literally couldn’t find a single criticism if I tried. Truly and sincerely, they are the best from the bottom to the top.

I love coming to this gym. Amazing community, great workouts and coaches are awesome at teaching you the basics and building you up. Very beginner friendly but that doesn’t mean you aren’t going to work. We workout hard but there’s tons of support and encouragement across the classes. I personally love all the cardio classes, but I haven’t joined a class I don’t love. After spending almost a year coming here, I feel amazing and love how great I am at boxing!

This is a great facility with great staff. I entered the 6 weeks challenge and met my goal! The class are challenging, but great. The staff are patient, hands-on, and very motivating. You get Classes are engaged and NEVER boring. the times are adequate as will. The facility, esp. the showers & bathrooms are always clean. I only have positive things about this place. If you stick to the plan they set, you will reach your goals.

Good luck EVER seeing this gym with less than 5 stars. The staff cares about you as much as your teammates. Wether you’ve been training 30 years or 30 mins, you’re Team Independent when you walk through the door. (Which is the far left door btw. The other two are no-go’s.)

Both my children recently received their black belts. They have been fabulous with my children. They’ve been patient with them and want every student to be successful in their martial arts practice. My daughter has no interest in sports but loves her martial arts study and gets upset if we have to miss a class. Not only have the kids met great friends but even us, the parents, have made great friends! I couldn’t speak more highly of the Martinez’s. It’s truly a family business and we are grateful to be part of the VMA family!

We have been members of Victory Martial Arts Academy for three years now my oldest started when he was five who is now eight and my youngest who is now six started when he was five as well. The boys love it the after school program and the summer camp! Not only is the program and camp awesome, but the owners are too, they go above and beyond for the kids with extra activities such as parties, bounce houses, field trips, visits to the parks, movie nights, and even special events for Valentines Day and New Years Eve for the parents. My reason for putting both of my boys in this camp was because of the late pick up time at 6:30pm, it worked for me, but I’m glad there’s a better reason for them being there now, I can’t see myself taking them out of the camp and not just because of the late pick up and fun, but because of the friends they’ve made and relationships they’ve made with the owners and instructors along the way!! I highly recommend Victory, it may be a “small mom and pop”, but in my opinion that’s where the traditional fun and teaching is! :)

My sons have been taking karate here for over 8 years. My oldest recently achieved his second degree black belt! The instructors are thorough and provide a challenging learning environment for all of their students. We have been extremely pleased with our time here and will continue to further our boys’ martial arts education through Victory.

We can’t say enough good things about Victory Martial Arts! We have been with them for 9 years between 2 kids. Our oldest is a black belt and our youngest is about to become one very soon. Our children have attended regular classes, been a part of the after school program and went to the summer camp. To our children this has become a second home with people that we trust and care about them. Both of our children have learned how to defend themselves but more importantly when they should use their defenses. Victory Martial Arts is not one of those karate studios where you just pay a price and get a black belt these kids have to do the work and truly learn the discipline in order to advance. Watching our kids advance and grow with karate at Victory Martial Arts is one the best decisions we made as a parent.

Victory Martial Arts offers something for everyone of all ages and abilities. Don and Renee, owners and instructors, are masters of several different types of martial arts and are highly qualified instructors. They are patient, understanding, and encouraging to all their students. Renee gave me the confidence as a middle age woman to pursue martial arts. It has definitely been something out of my comfort zone, but it has been great exercise and has helped improve my balance, strength, concentration, endurance and confidence.
