Ed offered to give my entire unit a free course in Jiu Jitsu. He was an awesome and professional instructor that knew how to assess the needs of his students. Additionally, his gym was one of the nicest gyms I've seen with tons of space during rolling. Ed refused to allow us to pay anything and made us feel appreciated. The soldiers were raving about how much fun they had the entire day despite being pushed to their physical limits during drills. I would highly recommend this gym to anyone thinking about getting into the BJJ world or changing gyms.

I have been coming to Pete’s Muy Thai classes for a little over a month now and I am so glad I started! The atmosphere is so welcoming, and clean!! The class goers are kind and those who are more advanced do not hesitate to help when they can too, which is always a plus. I’ve learned so much in a short time and it’s a killer workout, once I walked in with a braid and came out with a straight pony tail (worked the hairdo right out of me lol). If you’re thinking of taking a class as a beginner or as someone who already has knowledge of the sport, you won’t be sorry. It’s really got something for everyone. Everything I wanted for my 10 yr old with no martial arts experience. Saw improvements every week and surprisingly kept asking to keep going after first month. Big shout out to excellent coach (sierra?) at 5 pm youth bjj who is perfect with teaching, patients and building confidence w/ ability to push youth to excel. Highly recommend!

I have been going to this gym for a little over 3 years and I love it still. The management is very nice and respectful. My sister goes there and I have met so many wonderful friends and training partners. I love the coaches as well such as Mason, Cory, George, Nick, Gabriel, and Marcos. We love Dethrone and hope to never leave.

Thought it was a decent gym at first. Had to cancel my contract early because I'm moving. They're still billing even after cancellation receipt has been given. To their credit they did fix this mistake after I talked with them. Appreciate that they responded promptly. The training is good, customer service could be worked on a bit.

Awesome! Nick Bustemante is an excellent teacher! My little sister and I were a little intimidated when we first walked as we didn't know what to expect. Nick greeted us with a big smile and lots of positive energy that maintained through the whole workout! We had so much fun as we got a great workout. Can't wait to go so many more times!

I left this gym half a year ago after I moved away. Before I left, I told them I am cancelling my membership. The front desk told me that my membership will be on a three month hold then cancelled with a $100 fee. Three months later I am charged another $120. So I call and they tell me that it will now be cancelled. Another $120 charge. Call again and this time they assure me it is the last charge and my membership is cancelled. Why am I surprised when another $120 is charged. So since cancelling my membership I have been charged $360. I called again and the manager tells me that I have to come in and cancel. She says that there is nothing she could do for me and very rude about it. I am very disappointed by my experience with this gym's management and customer service. This is unfortunate as I actually liked the people who trained there. I do not recommend this gym.

This place was awesome, especially for kids. Great atmosphere and friendly staff that really care about your kids. I'm glad I signed my son up and he loves it.

Won't find a better solution for your fitness needs. Myself I'm looking forward to self defense techniques and a positive way to burn off some energy. Can't wait to see what Nick suggests.

We all love Ultimate Martial Arts. The staff is impressive, the owners are genuine, and the atmosphere is safe and inviting. Well worth our commitment of time and effort. And as an added bonus- it’s pretty cute to watch.

As a young woman wanting to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, I was nervous starting out, but Ultimate Martial Arts definitely put that nervousness at ease. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with no ego and classes that go at a good pace for beginners. Everyone there, from the instructors to the other students, is always encouraging and supportive. We have been a Fresno UMA family now for at least 7 years. I have watched my child grow from a scarred timid white belt hiding under Sensei's chairs in the seating area to a black belt in training on the verge of mastering the in-depth lesson plans for promotion. I have watched many of the students grow into excellent staff/employees for Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy. I have watched my son grow great bonds with his instructors and respect for his Sensei and Marital Arts in general. I have had the pleasure of building strong mutually respective relationships with my fellow Adult Kickboxing peers which I cherish greatly. I literally have watch the building grow into a larger school to accommodate all who wish to join when Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy renovated and merged the adjacent build to increase student capacity. I have been blessed with finding Sensei Rudy's dojo to keep me healthy and fit while also being blessed with Miss Wendy's excellent managerial service for every scenario or situation off the mat. Fresno UMA is the one Constant in our families busy life that has always been an anchor for our troubled days and worrisome nights. Covid-19 has been a nightmare for all families around the world, but one light in the darkness for our family here in Fresno, CA has been the strength, the companionship, and love that our Fresno UMA has given us all these years. I plan on attending Fresno UMA forever, because I believe in Sensei Rudy and Miss Wendy's vision for teaching Martial Arts. I feel their love for students, parents, and staff everyday I step into our dojo. I tried their trial class. It was awesome. The teacher instructed calmly , even when I didn't have the right form, again and again. He tried to encourage me to keep going. I'm kind of out of shape and couldn't even do a correct push ups but most of it was fun. I obviously paced myself and took a few minutes to cool down and attempt to finish the whole hour. It was intense. If you want to try something new or see about self defense this was definitely a fun and safe way to go about it. Just pace yourself.

My 10yr old has been attending training here for almost 2months and loves it! He has prior training and the level of training offered here is awesome. The entire coaching staff is great with the kids. The culture here is great too, everyone (kids & adults) greets one another and it’s a very family oriented environment.

This class has changed my life so much. I struggle with really bad asthma and needed a way to stay fit and strengthen my lungs. You and try the class and then sign up. There is a pay as you go option and also a year Optioin as well. Just go try the class for a day. The family atmosphere is great. My husband also takes the class. And my daughter will be starting. #TMKLife

Great Muay Thai gym in Fresno for children and adults, beginning and advanced. You learn good technique and get a great workout. Also, a friendly positive atmosphere.

Went here and it wasn’t good technique, lots of guard dropping.
