Active Martial Arts is hands down the BEST martial arts school I’ve ever been a part of! From the moment you walk through the doors, you’re welcomed by an incredibly positive and motivating atmosphere that makes you feel like part of a family. The instructors are world-class – they are knowledgeable, passionate, and truly care about each student’s progress. They don’t just teach techniques; they instill discipline, confidence, and mental toughness that translate into everyday life. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced martial artist, they push you to become your best self while keeping the training fun, engaging, and incredibly effective. The facility is top-notch, always clean, well-equipped, and designed for both kids and adults to train comfortably. The community here is amazing – supportive, high-energy, and full of people who genuinely want to see each other succeed. Since joining, I’ve seen huge improvements in my fitness, self-discipline, and overall mindset. It’s not just about learning martial arts—it’s about becoming stronger, inside and out. If you’re looking for a place that will push you to achieve your full potential, teach you real self-defense skills, and surround you with inspiring people, Active Martial Arts is the place to be! Don’t even think twice – just sign up, and thank me later! 💪🔥🥋 Would give 10 stars if I could! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

My kids have been coming here for about 1 year now. They have made several new friends, and have grown in character overall. Mr. Kyle is super supportive, and always plans fun events for everyone! Overall, this is an amazing place to send your kids.

I recently enrolled my child in the summer camp program at Active Martial Arts, and my kid was super happy! The staff was incredibly friendly and made every child feel welcome from day one. They kept the kids engaged with a variety of new indoor and outdoor games, ensuring there was never a dull moment. My child had an absolute blast and couldn't stop talking about all the fun activities and new friends made. If you're looking for a place where your kids can have a wonderful time and be well cared for, I highly recommend Active Martial Arts' summer camp!

Gemma has been attending Active Martial Arts for almost 3 years and it has been an awesome experience. Instructor Mr. Kyle has been nothing short of amazing and devotes so much time to his students. Mr. Kyle Senior is so helpful and loves every one of his students and is always there to be supportive. Gemma has gained so much confidence in her time there and her discipline and focus have greatly improved. Active Martial Arts also has the best summer camp around hands down. The kids went on weekly field trips and got to go outside every day. Gemma's sister also went to summer camp, and she is not a student at Active Martial Arts but really loved it and wants to join Martial arts now. Active is a second family to us and we love the studio and all staff. Highly recommend to anyone looking to have their kids in Martial arts!!

My child has been attending classes at this location for almost a full year. He loves the instructors, the other kids, and the challenges the experience brings. His learning disabilities and physical restrictions have not hindered him from progressing and having fun. The sensei are very attentive to showing compassion and understanding while appropriately encouraging each child to improve their skills and limitations every day. Since starting Karate at this location, my child's school teachers have ranted and raved about how better focused he is in class! His manners and encouragement towards others has also improved. I would recommend this program, at this specific location, to anyone!

Had a private lesson here and the lead instructor was very helpful and friendly! Gave me a good workout and definitely looking forward to taking more classes. I got to see some of the kids class before as well and it seems like a very patient and good place for kids to learn how to defend themselves and learn good values. I'd definitely take my kids here in the future!

I’ve debated wether doing this review but after speaking with at least 10 other moms and childcare specialists they persuaded me to share my experience. I signed up my 3 year old child for the free class advertised as for ages 3-5. We showed up and of course my 3 year old was excited. Three other children showed up which were obviously older and had experience since they were wearing their karate gear. They began doing their little circuit which my child had problems with since it was his first time in a learning “class” environment but despite this he was following the other children and doing his best. After that they started practicing a kick and my child was responding to the instructor who was talking to the kids. The other instructor kept “shushing” my child over and over and that’s where I saw him become obviously frustrated. Not too long passed when they jumped to a different exercise and the other instructor proceeded to lift my child up from the torso and sit him next to me and just say “sit with your mom”. My child started crying and I couldn’t console him at all. I put on his boots and his jacket all while he was crying and proceeded to leave the establishment. Not even the receptionist had the decency to say “I’m sorry it didn’t work out” or “thanks for giving us a try” literally NOTHING. My child cried most of the way home. He would stop but then remember again and begin to cry again. When we got home I gave him a big hug and he started crying so hard after that. It hurts as a mom knowing your child’s self esteem has been hurt especially by an adult who supposedly knows how to deal with kids. They literally made my child and I both feel humiliated. All the ride home I questioned myself “am I a bad mother?” “Does my child have bad behavior?” So I started calling all my mom friends, his hair stylist, his speech therapist etc. And all of them said that the actions taken by the instructor were completely inappropriate. I know my child is very energetic that’s why I wanted him to start this class. But I don’t think this business should advertise their classes for 3 year olds if they don’t have the patience to deal with a 3 year old with energy. Or better yet, why mix the class with students that are paying and the ones doing the free trial? I felt that’s where their frustration came from. Either way this situation could of been handled 100% better by the instructors but they obviously don’t have any experience with young children. (Example: instead of lifting the child and just telling him “sit with your mom” while walking away. He could of walked him by the hand over to me and said “we’re going to do a new exercise can you wait here so you can watch and then you can give it a try?” ) (YOU KNOW THE WAY YOU TALK TO AN ACTUAL TODDLER?) I’m not saying they’re bad at their job but I am saying is that they need to change their advertising to either an older age range or to specify “NO ENERGETIC CHILDREN” Like I said, I hate to do this and leave this bad review being that it was a free class. But I’m upset with myself that I didn’t stand up for my child at the moment. I’d consider deleting this review with a proper apology. But for now I’m letting every mother know my experience.

My son looks forward to his classes every single week. I’d like to give a specific shout out to sensei Bennett, he is so patient with the kiddos and does a really amazing job at calming down kiddos when they’re upset (speaking from experience with my own toddler lol). He’s great at getting kid’s attention when they get distracted in a way that’s not giving “I’m the boss so you need to listen to me” vibes. Overall, staff and both senseis my son has worked with (sensei Bennett + sensei prophit) have been such a positive experience for my son! Highly recommend this location and this extracurricular activity for your kids as it teaches more than just martial arts. My son is learning things like being more aware, listening with purpose, etc. life skills that he can take into the outside world which is exactly what I was searching for when choosing an extracurricular activity for my 4 year old.
