The instructors are outstanding, knowledgeable, patient, and truly dedicated to their students’ growth. Especially Professor Ryan. My three kids attend classes here, and the progress they’ve made is incredible. Not only are they learning valuable self-defense skills, but they’re also building confidence, discipline, and respect. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff genuinely cares about each student’s development. Whether you're a beginner or more experienced, this is the perfect place to train.

I signed up for the self defense seminar 5 months postpartum and was hesitant about entering what I knew would be my first workout. The class was broken down into easy to follow bite size lessons, that were weaved together into an defensive and effective technique. I felt comfortable practicing with a friend I’d made that class, and was grateful for the black belts walking throughout the room, offering corrections, support and encouragement. The space is clean and was accommodating for so many ladies! My husband is a practicing blue belt at Crosley Gracie but I had never been on the mat before- I’d definitely take the class again!

I've been coming here since late 2021. I recently had a private lesson with Professor Ryan which helped me fix some gaps in my techniques. This helps a lot! There's much value having these one and ones and I encourage these to anyone. Let me just say, training here is not easy but it's changed my life, physically and mentally. Yes, I get sore the next day but I'm more fulfilled than just going to the gym. After training, my work week feels easier and less stressful. That by itself makes it worth coming to class even when I'm tired. The best advice to progress is to just keep showing up. Thank you to the team of instructors and Professor Crosley for having an Academy in my backyard neighborhood. I can't imagine going anywhere else! Thank you, sir! OSS!!

My family has been on a journey with Crosley Gracie jiu-Jitsu Academy for about 7 years. My oldest son Noah was the first on the mat. He came struggling with self confidence and without understanding of how, or when to protect himself. I watched him grow exponentially under Professor Ryan’s quiet steady leadership. He gained confidence and appropriate assertiveness. My you younger son Zach had been a wrestler for years until Covid hit. He’s one of those kids with an endless motor in his butt. He has unending energy, exuberance & enthusiasm, but has lacked self control. With no way to expend his energy Zach became self destructive. Crosley Gracie opened his doors in September when no one else had the courage to do so. Zach joined. I truly believe jiu-Jitsu & Jesus saved my son. Zach went on to expand his training in the Muay Thai program. He practically lives at the gym to the tune of 20-30 hours a week, & now hopes to become an MMA fighter. I’ve watched Zach grow in temperance and discipline. Many men in the gym have become like father figures to him. The family style gym culture encourages reaching down the ranks as others reach down and draw you to excellence. After sitting through several years of her brother’s belt ceremonies, my daughter Hannah was inspired to action by a self defense demo Crosley’s daughter. She was the third to join the mat. My little ballerina turned in to a fighter. She grew in confidence and assuredness. And then there was me. I’m a middle aged out of shape mama. Practicing Jiu-Jitsu awakened pieces of myself I thought were lost years ago. This gym has been an anchor to my family. My boys are both are several handfuls. They both have ADD & are on the spectrum. Other communities struggle to handle what they bring to the table, this place has met each of us where we are. With patience and grace we’ve each been excepted, stretched to become more and expect more of ourselves as been able to give back. We will always be grateful for Crosley Gracie & the exceptional professionalism of the team & family that place represents.

A year and a half ago, deciding to finally start training Jujitsu at 49 years old was one of the best decisions I could have made. It is a privilege to be able to learn here at Crosley Gracie Academy. The leadership and structure instilled by Professor Crosley, Professor Ryan and all the instructors is nothing short of outstanding. The comradery of all the students reminds me of how it was in the Marine Corps. This is such a great and diverse group of people. I love the 6 AM class on Tuesday and Thursday. There is no better way to start the day! Thank you Professor Rick for doing this.
