We are new to the community and we just started using the Y- I’ve never been to a facility before but I love it so far. Two kids joined swimming lessons which so far has been great, and my husband and I use the gym. Pretty packed most of the time but I love the equipment & how clean and organized it is. The staff up front have been helpful every time too.

Member of 8 years with my family just saw email about dollar fee increase and WOW. Yea it’s only a dollar but families are already struggling…I just don’t understand. Terrible referring sometimes coaches don’t show up and at times I’ve seen inappropriate behavior between staff members…what is happening?? I thought this place was family friendly?? Seems like a place people go to get their groove on if you ask me… and some workouts on the side…the Y is terrible now. Please do better and encourage your staff to be presentable I’m sure you have some code of conduct to follow. Also make sure referees have actual experience. My family will have to find a more family friendly professional facility. A lot of others have cancelled their memberships due to similar reasons…waiting for the Y to tighten up

Beautiful pool, happy life guard. I was there to swim laps, but he was doing the exercises with the swimmers while sitting in the lifeguard chair. Not sure if he was leading or just having fun, but it made for a happier atmosphere.

We had been members of this Y since about 2010, primarily a family membership. We have had a lot of experiences there with using the gym, group fitness classes, swim lessons, a year and a half of preschool, a few Parents Nights Out, ChildWatch, T-ball, baseball, soccer, and volleyball. I hadn't gone myself in a while but while there the past few seasons for my child's games, I was disappointed to discover how run down and poorly maintained parts of the Y are. The handicapped stall in the restroom near Deep Sea Discovery had a seat completely cracked in half that was just sitting on the toilet. Major danger for kids or people with disabilities who use it. Also lots of broken faucets, etc., in various restrooms as well as inadequate cleaning. I was disappointed to see this as it's a very popular location and many people use it. My husband also wanted to use the pool for lap swimming but almost every single time, laps were not available at the scheduled times and there was no helpful response given or means to address this. (Taken over by swim lessons or other things even when lap swim was scheduled.) He'll be switching to a different gym. We've also run into many similar situations where we were given conflicting information by different staff members and had a hard time getting a clear answer. There are a lot of sweet people who work there and who use the facilities but better training, organization, communication, cleaning and maintenance would really help.

I have not been a member since 2023 but have been off and on since 2009. They offer a variety of programs and classes. Family oriented. A bit on the pricey side. The housekeeping/safety standards have declined considerably during my last few years. The facilities unclean. Moldy lockers/showers/restrooms. Equipment in need of repair. During COVID was blatant lack of adherence to health and safety protocol. My last few visits were under new management and equipment upgrades were made. Perhaps there has been improvements since.
