I trained with Eric for the entire summer when it was too hot for me to do my regular running outside. He was professional, friendly, and very knowledgeable! I looked forward to every session, and I came away from each one feeling like I'd made great progress. I feel like I'm going to have a great running season this fall and winter because of the training, and I plan on coming back again next summer.

Edit: 2 years into going here and I feel better than ever. This place was and is transformative every day. Go here to get strong and or lose weight. Highly endorse. Original post: Bryson's staff are professional, encouraging, motivating, and if you consistently show up, they will coach you to getting results with OlyFit. I did a three day free trial the week of Thanksgiving, started as a member in December, and roughly two months in I've added six pounds of lean muscle and lost over 6% body fat (I've not seriously weight trained before so I know that those two trends don't usually happen at the same time for experienced lifters). I'm a beginner and never felt intimidated by the classes. There's a diversity of ages and levels of fitness in the co-ed classes but everyone encourages each other and is welcoming and encouraging to newcomers. The workouts change every day but on strength days there are a lot of Olympic movement barbell lifts and a ton of other stuff that has pushed me to be consistently comfortably uncomfortable. I also end up pushing myself harder than I would training at home or with a video class on the metabolic conditioning days. I love it and I'm getting results fast just by showing up 4-5 times a week. During the early 2023 ice storm, I was missing out on my classes so much and couldn't wait to get back. I'm sleeping earlier, sleeping better, eating cleaner, and waking up at 5:30am to get to a 6am class, which I thought I'd never do. My posture is better too. Eric, Aliah, Devyn, and Traci each take the time to get to know you and continue to welcome you when you come in. It's a supportive environment and the trainers come up with modified routines for those who have injuries or other physical limitations. You are encouraged to start as light as you need and work your way up. There are people lifting light weights or just the bar and nobody smirks or judges (as far as I can see!). I started light, am still very much a beginner, and I feel welcome at every class. I know most of the others in the classes because there are three per day so you see a lot of the same faces after going for a couple weeks. Five stars. I love it here.

This is unlike any gym I have been to. Traci is a great coach and I recommend her for anyone in any fitness level. Everyone is friendly and this place just feels like a family. I was hesitant about going to a gym, after doing all my workouts from home but I'm glad I picked this one!

Amazing trainers and facility. I had my two sons there for the first quarter of the year and right away l noticed improvements in footwork. Definitely taking my boys back when we can.

I came to Texas for the summer for 3 months from Florida and discovered this hidden gem of a gym. The owners and people here are very kind, it genuinely felt like a home away from home gym. It’s a very low key gym and I never had to worry about it being crowded or unclean.

1 year review: Incredible gym and very active owners. You'll find this intimate gym loaded with great powerlifting and strongman equipment. This gym is suitable for all levels of activity from beginner to advanced training. The membership price is fair for 24 hour access, active communication with management and the quality of equipment. The true reason for the 5 stars aside from the overall gym is the community. A wonderful place for banter and learning. They frequently hosts meets/events and are well run by a respectable staff! They also have a great coaching staff such as Geoff, Duy and Josh they all bring their own unique perspectives on training. If you are looking for strongman coaching Eric is world class! Unfortunately I am relocating and it will be challenging to find a gym that matches Home Barbell Club.

Home Barbell is nearly a twenty minute commute for me and I still make the trip every time. The staff is friendly and helpful, the space and equipment is absolutely top-tier. It’s definitely more oriented towards strength training and Olympic lifting, but even if you’re a bodybuilder type, it’s got everything you’ll need.

HBC is the best gym in central Texas with equipment for strongman, powerlifting and Olympic weightlifting. Jessie and Geoff have cultivated an extremely welcoming community and a great place to train - I highly recommend Home Barbell for any experience level.

Came for a drop-in and totally loved the place. I said, “this is what a gym would look like if I built it out.” Quality everything, from the bars to the clips. Competition style bars for multiple federations and KG plates too. I’ll be back as I had a great workout and the people there were super friendly and knowledgeable.
