Courts are booty and they’ve done nothing to fix the other side of the damn place. The app is incorrect like 50% of the time, and they also do unnecessary activities in the basketball court like pickleball, like if you wanna play go somewhere else don’t take our courts though, I’ll walk through freezing temperatures to get there just to be met with baby’s attempting to play soccer and and I have no other choice than To just leave

I’ve been coming to the Prospect YMCA for years, but after many unfortunate recent experiences, I can’t recommend it to anyone, especially if you’re looking for a solid gym. If you aren't careful, your personal items can be stolen. The staff is unhelpful and does not care about your experience. Not to mention the locker room is chaotic and filthy. I suggest looking elsewhere. **Reply to their comment below: Thank you for responding, but I want to clarify that I reached out several times and was repeatedly handed off to an answering machine. No one followed up, and that’s why I ultimately canceled my membership. I’ve been a loyal member, and this experience was incredibly disappointing. If you truly want to make this right, I’d appreciate a gym credit for the amount of my stolen swim gear. That would go a long way toward showing you actually care about resolving this situation.

I agree with the previous comments-the locker room is "chaotic and filthy", roaches spotted daily in both sauna and all over the locker room, comained to the membership office twice to no avail, weight room is too small, expensive for what it offers. Switched to another branch of the Y, which is much cheaper, better organized and more sanitary for sure.

Great family atmosphere with no attitude. Amazing aquatics program with not one but two swimming pools (the new one really needs to be seen to be appreciated). Staff is friendly and helpful. Love the new crosstraining area behind the treadmills!

I am very new to lifting and am pretty scrawny but the staff and community there is great!! There is also a variety of equipment to work with.

Other Crunches I’ve been to are much nicer than this one. Main issues are with the old/janky equipment and lack of space/machines for strength training. Switched from another gym because I got an exceptional promotional deal. It’s worth at a much-lower-than-normal price, but not at the standard price. There isn’t enough strength equipment for the number of people who go (just 2 bench press machines and about 6 regular benches), and as other reviewers note, everything is old and the machines are often broken or not working properly. The cardio machines are also of inconsistent quality, but there’s enough of them that this isn’t a huge issue. Been to a couple Crunch locations and this is clearly the worst of them.

Apparently, people are not allowed to work out without a shirt. I had surgery and can barely stand having a shirt on. Nor was the manager there to help me, and there was no one at the counter for check in. They have an entire sauna, so it seemed perfectly reasonable, as in any other gym, to have your shirt off, especially when you have to pay over $100 monthly. Nor did they mention this during in-person enrollment. Extremely disappointed and will be waiting for my full refund.

I’ve been a member of crunch for years now, this is by far my favorite location. The people who work here are awesome, so friendly and the place is kept clean. They’ve got a pretty spacious functional fitness area for city standards. & the price is way more affordable than the other gyms in the area while still offering things like sauna, shower products & towels.

It's fine. As other reviews have stated, some shady stuff goes on where they say they sent a letter notifying you of increases in fees but that's not the case. There are sometimes issues with the equipment sticking or not being maintained well (rope attachments super frayed, bathrooms without paper towels, lots of hair and dust in the class rooms), and front desk is very hit or miss. There was a period of time where they clearly paid for fake reviews to boost their score on Google. Good thing is it's a convenient location and they have some great teachers. Never have seen an employee rerack anything and the trainers (not all) will often inconvenience other members (standing in the way, doing a circuit with their customer on 1 of 2 bench press stations for half an hour, using a bench to hold their phone and water) or just demonstrate bad gym etiquette. Lately there's been chalk all over the weights area and several areas of the floor compress down and are a tripping hazard. All in all, it's average, but priced high for the experience. If they brought in a good manager I think it would do wonders for this place.

I’ve been going here for I don’t know how long - seven years at least. Very happy that they’ve added a third bench press - it was much needed! Solid gym. Main criticism is that it’s impossible to sign up for classes, they’re always full.
