Fairly new, been there for a few months. Just like my rating demonstrates, basically everything is average. The equipment is pretty old but doable, gets the job basically done. I’ve only had the chance to do two work out class but it was pretty good; the instructor was yawning most of the time haha. Haven’t had a chance to be in the outdoor pool, but the indoor pool is coldddd. My 2 year old won’t go in anymore. Also haven’t seen the slide open but that looks cool, even tho my kid can’t go on it. Childcare location isn’t my favorite; at least for the kids that have anxiety from being away from their adults. It’s sort of open to the public eye to where the kids see all the adults on the outside. Or maybe I just don’t like window that has the ability for them to see you. I did do one of the toddler sports programs and it was nice.

I take a fitness swim class, as well as a chair yoga class and 3 chair fitness classes a week. The instructor Nancy is my favorite—-so energized and positive. She makes it rewarding to show up 5 days a week. I love interacting with people so it’s been great meeting new people

The YMCA is great 🙌 they offer financial assistance which has been very supportive for me in getting a membership. I've been using the pool and hot tub for water therapy which has been great decompression for my spine and overall body wellness (I've been having sciatica pain and it's helped a ton). The steam room and sauna are great too. Thank you YMCA 🙌🤸♀️✨

I have tried other gyms but it isn't the same as the Y. I have been a member of the Hilliard Y for 13 yrs and workout 3-4 times a week. I take the classes: HIIT, PURE STRENGTH, BARRE, and Y STRETCH. The instructors are amazing, they make the classes fun! Highly recommend!

Wonderful outdoor pool with zero entry, tipping buckets and sprayers. Not too deep so perfect for all of my kids. Also, we’ve always had great experiences at the child watch and the kids have fun (even my 8 year old!). There’s even a little fenced in outside playground available on nice weather days. The main gym has a nice variety of machines and equipment. Lastly, the classes are great and challenging - especially Barre and PiYo.. Traci is a fantastic instructor. I just hope they will start having classes for 9-12 year olds because my son will be turning 9 soon.

Worst planet fitness ever. I paid for the year in July, then upgraded to the Black Card, and then when I went to downgrade they said I had to pay for a new membership?! How does that make sense? I already paid for the year? Avoid avoid avoid. EDIT: I emailed the address provided below, and was told to “speak to the store owner, as PF locations are independently owned and operated”. Why did you have me email this corporate address to be told that? I am so unhappy.

Very poor service, we cancelled our membership and their was a employee who said that we can get a refund and said that come when their manager is available. We went and talk to the manager the other day and he is now telling us that you can’t get a refund, wastage of money, time and energy. USELESS

Pretty good. More cardio machines than weights but usually not too difficult to get on a machine that you want.

This isn't my usual planet fitness location. I found this one packed with people and the feel of the place was cramped. The hydro massage must have been broken. I was told all they had were the chairs and I could clearly see no one was using the hydro massage machines. 🤷

Ive been coming here on and off for about three years now. I absolutely love this gym. It has ALL the equipment you could need, and even when it’s busier- there is still space and equipment for you accomplish your lifting goals for that day. The staff has always been kind and helpful, and the people who go to this gym have always been respectful and hard working. Im moving out of the city of Columbus and one thing I am really disappointed about is leaving this gym. However, if you are in the area, I highly recommend Metro Fitness Hilliard. Ive been to about every gym in the area, and not a single one can compare to the equipment or staff Metro has to offer.

Been here for a Couple years now and I don’t plan on leaving ever. there’s never a wait for any machines and there is a great diversity of equipment. Best part about the gym is the community, everyone including staff is great

Of all 3 Metro locations, my favorite is Hilliard. It's the middle of the 3 when it comes to size, but I feel like it doesn't sacrifice anything. I wish Worthington had a sauna, but that's about all it doesn't have that the others do, and Dublin has a pool. Pricing is really fair. I think it's like 30 bucks a month or very close if I recall right for one location, and 35 for all 3 (or something very close). There are probably some family or couple plans too. I've been a member for a few years, so I don't recall for sure. It's just an easy-going gym, has about everything you need, hometown vibes. Somehow, they seem to keep riff-raff out too. Every once in a while, there's a punk being a pain in the ass, but they're good at addressing it if you bring it up to staff. I've gone to Metro for about 5 years and have come to know the employees and manager of Hilliard specifically pretty well, and they're great people. Plenty of space, machines, etc., and generally just normal people who go there—which seems rare to find. You can do any lift you can think of, and they have a dedicated room for heavy lifting, or any standard cardio or lifting machine a gym should have. If I'm honest, I was even hesitant to write such a long review because I almost want to keep the hidden gem to myself, lol. But I wanted to show them some love. You really can't beat it if you're within a 20-30 minute drive for the price-to-feature ratio. Believe me, I've tried!

This is LITERALLY THE BEST gym in the west side. The have 2 or more of absolutely everything. 4 or every set of dumbells, TONS of specialized equipment as well, plenty of cables. DEDICATED LEG ROOM. Tire flipping, ropes, heavy bag, full open machine and free weight floor. A rack of loaded ez bars, rack of loaded straight bars. A fully stocked equipment room, so much more. So many benches, tons and tons of squat racks, deadlift pads, bounce plates, medicine balls, brute balls, LITERALLY EVERYTHING. Sauna in the locker room, personal trainers (paid), tanning bed (paid) For less than $30 a month. You can get better than this, even some gyms around Columbus are $60 and not this good. Enough equipment that I'm NEVER waiting to use something, except maybe the speciality stuff, member lounge, like what?? Seriously just go in for one lift and you'll see why I'm raving about it. For the average gym enthusiast, this is a great option. Equipment is always very well maintained, staff is super friendly, and EVERYONE is super nice and the culture is just incredible. See photos for membership enticement.
